1 starLack of Communication, Faulty Product, and Denied Refund from Byte I am filing this complaint due to an extremely frustrating experience with Byte involving poor communication, lack of accountability, and refusal to issue a refund for a treatment that has ultimately worsened my dental health.Over the course of two years, I went through two different sets of aligners from Byte. While I acknowledge there was a period of about eight months where I didnt contact them, this was not due to a lack of seriousness about my treatment. I took matters into my own hands by re-wearing previous aligners in hopes of seeing improvement. I genuinely wanted to make the treatment work, but unfortunately, I saw little to no positive ********* dentist has since told me to stop using the aligners altogether due to the lack of progress and the increasing discomfort, including gum pain and a worsening bite. When I requested a refund, Byte instructed me to get a letter from my dentist, which not only failed to resolve the issue but also took up time from my provider with no ********** make matters worse, Byte never even informed me that my account had been closed. Despite stating they are here to help, their actions show otherwise. They refused a refund but offered another treatment, contradicting their previous claim that my treatment was completed.Byte must take responsibility for the lack of clarity, faulty product, and failure to support their customers. I am seeking a full refund due to the harm caused, the misleading guidance, and the lack of accountability throughout the process.Review fromNikolina S

1 starThe worst product ever. All they do it take whatever money they can get out of you did the whole treatment plan and my teeth didn't shift at all just made ot worse. I asked for my refund and now they will not contact me back and keep insisting I need a recommendation letter from a dentist as to why I cannot continue treatment which by the way no dentist will do that because they aren't affiliated with Byte.Review fromKate J

DO NOT USE BYTE!!! I am 2 years into treatment and they asked for dental records and I have been trying to get them to them since JANUARY! They refuse to call my dentist to clarify what they need and take weeks between to respond to my emails. They are trying to wear me down so I just give up on treatment. Horrible service. Aligners crack if you are stuck in them until they can send new ones, and charge you for it even if they are the ones delaying treatment. DON'T DO IT! Go somewhere else!Byte

A treatment that should've only lasted a few months has now gone on for almost 3 years! I have several emails of them sending me around in circles over my lower alignment treatment right when I'm almost done. Feels like a scam. I've been using the same lower aligner since September of 2024 - 6 months! These are only supposed to be worn a week at a time. This is unacceptable and they refuse to accept my dental records and continue treatment or refunding me for not being able to continue. I wish I had never fallen for their scam. I've told so many people that they are not worth it! I would NEVER recommend Byte.Byte

Initiated treatment with Byte in August 2023. After initial set of aligner trays were complete, I was not happy with the results, and they sent a set of "touch up" aligners. We went through this process multiple times in all, until they finally refused to continue unless I provided an 'Intraoral' exam, which I quickly discovered is difficult to complete, as no local providers are willing to work with an unaffiliated treatment. Upon informing Byte of this, I was told in order to be granted an end to my treatment, that Byte requires a letter from a dentist stating that no providers will complete this exam. Asking around for this "letter", which even my own dentist wasn't willing to write, I repeatedly ran into the same general answer: they mistrust Byte's methods and ethics and can't be involved in any capacity. Needless to say, both this exam or requested letter have proven impossible for me to procure. I have now been stonewalled by Byte's "Staff" regarding this issue. All communication through their email, website and phone support results in the same pre-scripted responses, either repeating their demand for this "letter, " or providing instructions on conducting a ****** search. I have yet to have a single direct response or dialogue about this issue: they appear unwilling to address my issues personally or *********** reality, I've never had a personal dialogue with their staff, or spoken to a Byte employee identifying as a dentist. I've now paid thousands for a treatment that has been on hold for 2 months, with no solution in sight. Byte simply refuses to acknowledge my problem or discuss a solution.I see their responses on BBB claiming to only address complaints through their website and support avenues. Let me be clear:They do not directly address those complaints, either, and any responses here suggesting this option will be rejected. It is clear Byte is only concerned with self-protection, and will avoid our grievances at any cost.Byte

This response is insufficient, as I have made many attempts to address this through your phone, email, and website, and have never received a response from your staff that wasn't either pre-scripted, or ignoring the context of my grievance. Did not meet their obligation. Once they got payment in full they quit on me. Treatment was left unfinished and never received additional aligners etc. After being denied a refund they came back with if you pay an additional 950$ we will continue the treatment plan. I do not recommend this company.Byte

Unfortunately all of these reviews stating this company is a scam are correct. Dont be fooled by their website or false promises- their product does not work and they will run you around in circles. Hope they get sued for all they have when the lawsuit is complete.Byte

I am beyond done with Byte, I have been dealing back and forth with them since September of 2024, just so they can request the same information over and over from me. I have done everything I can do at this point. I have requested a full refund and all i was told that I needed a note from my Dentist stating that I cannot be treated by Byte anymore. My dentist has nothing to do with the treatment I received from Byte, so i don't understand why I have to involve him. He's already provided my dental history for the past year and still like that Byte will not finish my treatment. I AM STRESSED OUT AND HAVE HAD IT ALREADY. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! BEWARE!! NO STAR IN MY OPINION!!Byte

Byte is refusing to continue treatment without me visiting my dentist and got approval to continue. I went to my dentist, they gave me approval but now Byte is telling me my bite has not settled how they want and I have to go back and get my personal dentist to sign off again. My personal dentist is unwilling to sign off as they have no insight or approval into bytes plan and does not want the liability of signing off on a treatment she has no insight or oversight into. Byte is refusing to refund me even though they are refusing to continue treatment. It has been months of back and forth, no one will get on a phone call or even provide a template of what they need my personal dentist to sign (in the case I can get her to sign it). Avoid at all costs. Just waiting for the class action to start.Byte

This company is a scam. They are not professionals. I paid almost up to $5000 for treatment and they said they wont refund me until I get a dentist note. They must refund those that the treatment didnt work for. Every time I told them the treatment wasnt working they would send aligners that didnt even fit and here I am still paying monthly for something that wouldve never worked.Byte
