CRI Genetics is a waste of money. Take a ******** quiz and youll get the same results. The information was way off , they claim to use your dna to check so many things, then the results are vague and random and just suggestions. I wish I would have went with a more reputable company. $100.00 wasted.CRI Genetics, LLC

In March 2024, I decided to hire a genealogy company to explore information about my paternal and maternal grandparents. I had been a member of ************ in the past, and when my research found this company that advertised affiliation with Ancestry, I thought it was a trustworthy organization (a representative later denied ANY association with ********). The initial conversation I had was with ****** ***** who touted the company's dedication to providing great customer service and enticing offers as part of packaged plans. Ultimately, I chose one for $10,000 which promised an in-depth dive into my ancestry for a 6 mo period. I was told I would receive a conversation with a representative and be assigned a personal genealogist to work on my project as well as being given a 3 mo update on my ancestral discoveries. Further, he told me my end summary would be bound in a booklet for me and my family. It was expensive, but I wanted to leave something of importance to my 4 daughters and 8 grandchildren. I am elderly and retired, and it was a big decision for me to take this amount of money out of my 401K . Mr. *********** was the representative who called me and discussed the particulars of my project, and ******* ******** was my geneticist. I did receive a 3 mo "update" but had to prompt Mr. ******* for my project summary after 7 mos had passed. The summary I received was appallingly scant and no more complete than the 3 mo report had been. In addition, both the 3 mo report as well as the 7 mo summary gave very similar "suggestions" as to continued ancestry research to reveal more information (the latter for additional money of course). In essence, I got a brief "family tree" with very few names on it (and questionable accuracy), no booklet, and no accountability as to how my money was spent. End contact with Mr. ******* did not address my complaints but deflected blame with excuses. I am devastated to have used this company for a dream on my bucket list.CRI Genetics, LLC

Dont buy DNA kits from this company Dont buy DNA kits from this company, their report barely shows any usable information. They want 220 extra to give you information about your possible relatives and additional 140 every yeartoo much for a hint of a report.This is scam and people need to stay away from this business. I also ordered a kit from familytree dna and it shows everything you may be looking for, without additional yearly charges. CRI Genetics is still practicing the bait and switch tactics that they were sued for. (I found out too late). I ordered the test and was then told I have to purchase a subscription to see the results. The few they let me see were very generic. After speaking with ***, I was never told about a subscription , (nor after asking multiple times) I was never told how much a subscription is. 1 starI chose CRI due to their claims about traits and the migration roots of relatively recent ancestors. My report showed me I had a British ancestor as well as a Gujarati Indian ancestor who lived between 1845 and 1905 or approximately 1875. This is absolutely impossible as I know where both sides of my family lived in ***** for the last 250 years Including personal histories I called customer service and told them this and was told its not that the ancestor came from there, but that he or she had genetic material from those areas Well, thats a big difference and a false claim in the least! I also asked why my Italian heritage was called Toscani Italian And was told that It means from ******* and that is where the most and that is where most migration to other parts of ***** came from. I know Italian history very well and I speak Italian. I am also southern Italian and Sicilian, which were areas that were not even mentioned. I strongly suspect the word Tuscany was chosen because it is, and has been for the last two decades, a very popular region of *****, known says that Toscani Italian Is closely related genetically to surrounding countries such as ******, ******, ***********, ******, etc. So why then was that term chosen? As for the genetic traits, they were actually laughable as so most were off the **** for myself. There were also so many gross generalizations, which made the entire research very unprofessional. I have tested with Ancestry and MyHeritage and received much more believable results.Obviously, I am very dissatisfied and This was the biggest waste of $242 that I ever spent! I recently purchased the Ancestry and Health tests, and changed my mind about the purchase for a number of personal reasons. When I contacted their support email address to request the refund, I was relieved at the quick turnaround in all our communications, and within just a few days the refund amount had been reversed and was in my bank account. 1 starDon't waste your time and money, they promise 8 weeks result but it's been more than 3 months that Im waiting to hear back for part of my result Advanced timeline!!I emailed them more many times and ask them what is going on with the result.
