I was advertised a product, then paid for the product, but it was not available. Refund was refused.Details:Activision Case# ******** - A technical glitch advertised an old store menu in their video game Call of Duty Modern Warfare III. To access the desired item, I purchased their virtual currency coins via **** PlayStation platform. After successful purchase of the virtual currency coins, the desired digital content had errors during install and then disappeared after system reset. The product I had paid for did not exist, but was only a technical glitch advertising an older limited edition product no longer available. So now, I'm stuck with virtual currency I cannot use. I feel tricked into buying these "coins" and don't know what to do. When I contacted Activision, they said that the platform (PlayStation) issues refunds, but when I contacted PlayStation, they refused refund because the purchase of Activision's virtual currency was successful.I'm feeling scammed into buying their virtual currency for a product that didn't exist. It is not a lot of money, but I feel shamefully tricked and deceived. A refund shouldn't be this difficult. What is to stop them from doing this to other people? This is not fair. For records, I have uploaded picture attachments of the content to prove that the "Ash Operator Bundle" did exist and was visibly offered before being removed after my purchase. I took this picture to show my friends because I was really excited about it. I understand that this may seem childish and silly to complain about a video game, but I spent money for nothing. Activision basically told me "too bad, so sad" without compensation. Their customer support phone number just redirects to the website.Thank you for your time and consideration.

I've had an Activision account for over a decade, and I have spent well over $1000 with them. Hacking into and stealing Activision accounts with hundreds or even thousands spent on digital content is running rampant, and like everything we do online these days, two factor authentication is absolutely required to secure your accounts.A common occurrence is that the end user loses access to an email account for various reasons like it being a work email for a job you no longer have, or a private email server that is discontinued. In my case my old gmail account was hacked because I did not have two factor authentication activated. I have worked with all the other companies I have accounts with to get the old gmail updated to my new one. Because the details on those accounts were updated I was able to activate two factor authentication on all of them.Activision indicates on their support page that "If you don't have access to the email address on your account, you will not be able to change your email address." That is to say that a verification code has to be sent to the email you n longer have access to, and they provide no other solution for this common occurrence, which will continue to get worse as more people inevitably lose access to email accounts. In the recent past, Activision provided a way to update contact information by providing account details to their support team. Other instances of Activision end users being able to update their email address involved sending screen shots to Activision support of being logged in. Currently, Activision simply refuses to provide a basic service to customers that have spent significant amounts of money on their digital content that would allow them to keep their account details up to date and thus more secure with two factor authentication activated. All I need to do is update an email address to maintain secure access to my expensive digital content, but Activision simply refuses to do so.

I purchased Call of Duty Modern Warfare III form Blizzard Activision in November of 2023. Sometime around 2/29/2024 my Activison account was compromised, and I received a notification that a unknown Battle.net account was linked to my account followed by a splurge of random friend requests. At some point between 2/29 and now the hacker performed malicious conduct on this linked account resulting in my Activison account being banned and me no longer being able to use the service I paid $70 to use on Xbox. I have submitted multiple request to the company to look into the issue and they have been automatically denied by robotic customer service. Since this time I have linked an authenticator app, as well as changed my password. My only desire is for the malicious battle.net account to be unlinked from my Activision account, and the Call of Duty ban to be lifted. My Activison ID is HKT#******* and email for the account is ******************************** from my most recent account recovery appeal:My activison account was hacked on/or about February 29th 2024 during a time of inactivity on my part which is why it's taken so long for me to notice. I received an email on 2/29 stating that my Call of Duty account was linked a Battle.net account not associated with me named ELLA541#**** followed by a large number of confirmed friend request. I have now received a banned from Call of Duty MW3, and Warzone due to some sort of malicious conduct performed by the hacker.I am respectfully requesting a supervisor review this request due to my inability to unlink this battle.net account from my activison account, and this false ban impeding my ability to use the product I spent $70 on.

My account associated with the email ********************** (which I no longer have access to the email) was falsely banned, unbanned, then falsely banned again by Activision. I purchased their game (Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3) and was falsely banned. I submitted a ban appeal the first time which resulted in my account being unbanned, then about a week later (April 10th) my account was banned again for Unauthorized software use and manipulation of game data which I did not do, not only did I not do it, but I hadnt even played the game since I had been unbanned the first time. After this, I tried to login to my account to submit another ban appeal and was prompted with the error message that I attached a picture of to this claim. It told me to email Activision support, so I did. It has been 70 days now with an email chain of 50+ messages. They kept telling me they cant do anything unless I login to my account and submit a van appeal which I couldnt do because every time I tried to login to the account I would get the error message. Then after I told them that it was solely an issue with the account they banned because I could login to other accounts without getting the error message, they closed my case. Every time I email them now, they close my case without a response back. They refuse to fix it and this ban is affecting my accounts tied to the one they banned and it has resulted in thousands of dollars lost between other games because the ban shows up on my Steam profile which is tied to every other game that I own. They wont help and it has gotten to the point where they wont even respond to me. I need the false ban removed from my Activision account associated with the email ********************** and to be given access back to the account because Im assuming thats why I cant login.

The Steam numerical ID, PSN ID, Battle.net username, or Xbox gamertag linked to the affected account

      Activision,

My Steam ID linked to the falsely banned Activision account is: *****************

My Xbox Gamertag linked to the falsely banned Activision account is: Anthren

The email login for the falsely banned Activision account (which I no longer have access to and can't recover) is: **********************

      My Activision ID is: Anthren#*******

I also want to note that I did not delete my Activision account and my primary concern is getting the ban removed from the Steam profile due to this false ban affecting all of the other games associated with my Steam account. I suspect that since I haven't had access to the email in about 10 years, I haven't been able to change my password, and therefore it was likely compromised and I suspect someone hacked my account.

On June 11, 2024 my activision account was hacked and had another account linked to it. I was unaware if this until June 14, 2024 when I proceeded to try and access my account and found it had been banned from all Call of Duty platforms. According to their website if the account was hacked then the ban would be overturned. I submitted a ban appeal describing the circumstances. I also submitted a separate support ticket to unlink the account that hacked into mine. On June 15. 2024 I received an email from Activision stating that my account had been fixed and the unauthorized account had been unlinked. I also received a few other emails stating how to change my password and set up 2-factor authentication. I immediately proceeded to make all suggested changes. On June 17, 2024 I received another email from Activision stating that my account had been reviewed and they were denying my ban appeal due to the fact that I owned the account at the time of the violation, even though their website states that hacked account bans would be overturned. In the email they state there is no way to appeal again and there is no support to handle any questions regarding the situation. The lack of customer support is appalling to a customer who has spent a great deal of time and money creating this account, with little to no help fixing the situation. I follow all rules and regulations placed by this company to be told that it doesnt matter if I got hacked and followed their recommendations for fixing the account.

The reason why I'm banned after my account was compromised I created a 2fa and was unlinked that were not mine. As per instructions from Activision on your recovery page. I then created a account recovery but due to the 2fa I created and unlinking accounts. The account shows there is no issues other than the ban. I need a supervisor to look into this and get the account unbanned please.

Subject: Appeal for Limited Matchmaking Ban and Request for Review of Malicious Reporting Dear Activision Support,I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to appeal a limited matchmaking ban that was recently imposed on my account during a game of Rebirth. I believe this action was a result of malicious reporting by another player.During the game, I eliminated a player who then began to spam report me while spectating and repeatedly used the chat feature to inform me that they would get me banned. This behavior is a clear example of malicious reporting, as defined in the Call of Duty Security and Enforcement policy:"Malicious Reporting: Any user who is found to use in-game reporting systems for malicious intent such as knowingly providing false reports against other users and/or falsely spam reporting legitimate users to negatively impact their gameplay experience is subject to penalty.First offense: User may be temporarily suspended from select features including the ability to submit reports. User may also be temporarily suspended from playing the game online with teammates, have their stats, emblems, and weapon customizations reset, and have their leaderboard entries deleted.Extreme or repeat offenses: User may be permanently suspended from playing the game online, have their stats, emblems, and weapon customizations reset, and be blocked permanently from appearing in leaderboards."I assure you that I am innocent of any wrongdoing and would welcome a review of my account to verify this. Additionally, I request that appropriate action be taken against the player who falsely reported me. Their actions have not only impacted my gameplay experience but also undermined the integrity of the reporting system.I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution that addresses both my situation and the issue of malicious reporting.Thank you for your time and assistance.Sincerely,Ghost Activision ID: Ghost#*******

My account was hacked and 2 factor authentication was bypassed, leading to multiple unauthorized accounts being added and then getting banned. I unfortunately noticed this activity roughly 2 weeks after it all went down. All my hours and money spent now hinge on the Activision review process.
