To Whom It May Concern, I was hacked last year, 500,000 Activision accounts were hacked and emails were changed. Unfortunately I tried to secure my account two weeks ago and Activison Support will not help me. I tried to add two factor authentication to my account but I needed my old email (which was changed). I tried to re-link everything to a new Activison Account like I am supposed to but everything I worked for has been reset to Rank 1. I also cannot access things within the game that I paid for due to this. I have given Actvision thousands of dollars along the years and now I can't get my old account back without going through an automated process that keeps denying me. The online support is never on, and the only thing I get back are emails saying I have been denied.

I've been attempting to resolve an issue with my activision / warzone account where I cannot see cross-play friends for months now and the support page provided has a circular flow which will never allow me access to my account. I'm still able to play the game ( but with no friends list ), yet the steps provided by Activision render it impossible to resolve your issue if you have a 2FA enabled account. There is 2FA enabled on my primary account, so in order to perform an account recovery, you are required to link a new activision account (with a new email), to your warzone account, and then you can proceed with account recovery. However, in order to unlink the previous one it requires you to login and 2FA, which makes it literally impossible to ever complete the account recovery. Activision offers no live support help that I could find to help remedy the issue

Date: Dec 1, 2020 Purchase: Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Price: ***** ORDER #USXXXXXXXXX I purchased this game under my Blizzard Account with Email *****************: Battle Tag ID: *************** But this game was associated with my Activision Account with Email ******************: Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Activision ID:******************* The problem, is that as of 8:24AM CST, 7/1/2021, my Call of Duty/Activision account was fraudulently accessed and my email was changed, and my account unlinked. Activision does not provide a proper method for me to re-obtain my Call of Duty and Activision account. Their automated support instructions wants me to unlink my Battle.net account from my 'stolen' Activision account, but you can only do that from within the stolen Activision account, which I can't access. They do not allow me to submit any support ticket without doing this impossible step. If I cannot get my game account back, I want to be refunded my purchase price.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/07/14) */ Hello ******* Thanks for letting us know this concerning situation with your account. If you suspect unauthorized activity on your Activision account, you can get help by submitting an Activision Account Recovery Request: https://support.activision.com/account-recovery. The information you provide will be used to validate your ownership of the account. If your request is valid, the Account Recovery Team will recover your Activision account within 24 hours, and will notify you via email when your request is complete. As stated in the form, you need to create a new, temporary account in order to fill the required information. Make sure to link your BattleNet account to the temporary account. Regards, Activision Player Support JQ Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/07/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) In regards to: "As stated in the form, you need to create a new, temporary account in order to fill the required information. Make sure to link your BattleNet account to the temporary account." This step is impossible to accomplish. My original Activision account had the email ([email protected]). The person who hacked into my account, removed that email and replaced it with theirs. This account is still connected to my active (and secure) battle.net account. There is NO possible way, that I am able to unlink my battle.net account, from the hacked activision account, because activision doesn't allow me to do that, nor does battle.net. As instructed, I created a temporary activision account, but there was no way to link the battle.net account. Due to this, I was unable to complete their automated method of trying to retrieve my account. This situation is not resolved. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/07/24) */ Hello there *******! Thank you so much for getting back to us! Seems that your Battletag: J************** has been unlinked, when able please try and link your Battletag to a new Activision ID and submit an account recovery request at https://support.activision.com/account-recovery. Feel free to reply back on this BBB case with the case/form number and we'll gladly sort this out for you! Regards Activision Player Support MG MG

Around 4 to 6 months ago I made a purchase for in game credits totaling at $100 USD. Since then I stopped playing after making one purchase, in faith that my credits would remain in the digital balance. Upon returning from hiatus I've discovered that not only are all of my COD points gone (either transferred, or spent, or god knows what else happened to them) but also my recovery email address was changed to an email address with the same prefix (before @ sign) but with hi2.in instead of gmail.com. I left a support ticket 3 days ago and have yet to even receive a RESPONSE from them. I want my account credited back to what I deserve and I want their servers secured from invasion better. They are a multi billion dollar company, they have no excuse for not keeping their digital security up to par with the rest of the world. Absolutely unacceptable.

Best regards, Player support ** Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2021/08/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) You are not addressing the problems. You are giving me a canned response to just brush away the problem. I lost access to the account due to YOUR negligence which resulted in me losing in game currency when the unauthorized user spent it. You refuse to respond to my ticket for nearly a month now and you insult me further by responding on this site to save your own face instead of dealing with the problem. I have already submitted a ticket for account access loss, which has been ENTIRELY ignored and the ticket I submitted for the loss of in game currency was responded to, and then orphaned later with no ability to send a new message in an effort to ping your support staff to pay attention to me. I want my $100 credited back to my card so I can take my money elsewhere at this point. Your business ethics are piss poor and you have no right to be telling me what to do after I've already jumped through your hoops. My activision was hacked, and I have no way of contacting them to get it back. No call center or chat help. I submitted a form online but haven't heard back. I've paid hundreds of dollars on their games, and feel like they don't want to help.

I paid for a video game called "Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War" and I was immediately placed on a "Shadow Ban" list making it impossible to play online multiplayer. Activision does not respond and charged me for a game I cannot play. They unbanned me about a week after I bought the game then re-banned me for no reason once again. I have spent a lot of money on this game and they are banning people left and right without any cause. They are robbing people. They are selling a game and then not allowing honest customers to play it. You cannot contact them about it a mistake they have made which is depriving the customer, me, a product that I purchased.

On May 31st, Activision notified me my account was hacked and provided instructions for recovery and I have submitted three cases with Activision in an attempt to recover my account that has hundreds of dollars worth of items tied to the account that I no longer have access to. I followed their recovery instructions twice and when those didn't work, I opened a general ticket. Regarding the general ticket, Activision began an email exchange with me on June 24th finally (after my third ticket), and suddenly the email address is invalid and I can no longer reach Activision. I just want Activision to recover my account so I can access my in game needs or at least reimburse my money that I have spent on both Warfare and Cold War which will net hundreds of dollars. I have been a customer of theirs for 10 years and they are not willing to help me. This is my last attempt before civil court to recover monetary losses tied to the account.
