I should have received my social security check in my redwood credit Union checking account on August 30 2024 in my direct deposit and I still didn't receive it in my redwood credit Union direct deposit on September 1st 2024 in my redwood credit Union checking account I suspect that the redwood credit Union put my social security check in some else account by mistake and refused to check and put my social security check in my redwood checking account right now immediately right now todayBusiness response

When did you complete the Direct Deposit request with Social Security? Often times it can take a full deposit cycle for the switch to take effect on the new account, otherwise the funds could have been directed back to the original account. ********************** does not have the ability to request the switch on your behalf, so this would have to have been completed by you once the new account was opened. Should you need assistance, we can absolutely set up an appointment with your local branch to help with the process, or you can do so online through the Social Security website located by the following link:

I did an application for a car loan, with a cosigner well my cosigner at the last minute had a change of mind, I had contacted the business to withdraw only the cosigner if they couldn't do that then withdraw the whole application, witch they did not, not only that they went on a did an adverse action on my credit report 3 months after the application 3 months after i asked to withdrawl the application do to cosigner change of mind. Not only did they made my credit worse but never even ask if I had the cosigner write info on there. I make alot of mistakes but At least give me a opportunity to correct my mistakes nope they didn't. They went on and did everything i had ask them not to do.Business response

I had called to resolve a negative balance I had occurred and tried to find a solution to where I could pay it off and get my account back on track. The person I talked to did not help me whats so ever, I tried to explain to her that i get paid x amount of dollars every week and if this check keeps going towards my negative balance there is no way I could pay for my essential bills with no money (I had already pushed back these bills as much as I could for the month), but she just told me to call these companies and not have them take out the bills. Then she proceeded to tell me that I have until the following month to bring my account up or they will charge off my account. She then also told me that it was my fault for using my card even in the negative, which I then proceeded to tell her that I didnt know a huge bill came out and I used my card thinking I had money still.. Instead of helping me, she told me to budget my money better and gave me a number for someone else to contact. I had also mentioned to her that I work full time, a student, pay for my own bills and groceries and didnt intend for this to happen in the first place, she decided it was best to down play my situation and talk instead about how she had it worst but still make things work Good for her, I guess.Business response

I purchased a vehicle through a dealership that closed before they could finish the title transfer paperwork. Im unable to get the registration renewed and get the stickers because of this issue. Redwood credit union was the company I financed with. I have been going back and forth with RCU and all they have done is give me the go around about how this is going to eventually be solved. They have advised that until then I keep making the payments on the truck and to just wait for it to be resolved. I have been pulled over and had the car towed because of this issue. I told them I was having issues because of it and all they have done is sent me temporary stickers to put on the truck. However, this only solves that problem. The bigger issue is that Ive been making payments on this truck since 8/2023 and its technically not even mine. Ive expressed concern about this to RCU and theyve done nothing but tell me to keep calling to check in on the status and keep making the payments. This whole situation has been extremely difficult and nobody has helped resolve it. I do not wish to even keep the truck anymore since its not even in my name, which is also something I have told them that they have chosen to ignore. I need help solving this matter.Initial Complaint

Today 01/04/24 at 3:00 pm Redwood Credit Union send a Repo man over to my home and breeching the peace trying to repossessesd my vehicle , The orginal creditor is ********************************* in **********, ********** , Redwood Credit Union was assign the contract , also Redwood Credit Union never gave me no money to buy my vechicles, So in order to repossessed a vehicle Redwood Credit union had to fill out with *** REPOSSESS FORM ,so if Redwood Credit Union had to fill out the *** REPOSSESS form that clearly states that they do not own the vehicle and if they own the vechicle ? why haven't they picked up the vechicles ?and why did Redwood Credit Union fill out the *** REPOSSESS form , once again they do not own vehicle I do ***************************** , there only intrest is the promissory note meaning promise to pay . On my contract with the orignal creditor ************************* contract says any dispute by any party holding security intrest or equitable intrest should have a right to arbitration to resolve any dispute , so if the contract was assign to redwood credit union why they have not file to have arbitration , clearly redwood credit union is breeching the contract also I have requested to redwood credit union for my state and fedral disclosures that they failed to give me or send me or email me. In the state law of ********** says that they have to send me my disclosres every year , since they have not done that , yet again redwood credit union breeching the contract. 15 US Code section ****-Determination of finance charge (5) Premium or other charge for any guarantee or insurance protecting the creditor against the obligor's default or other credit loss. So if redwood credit union thinks I defaulted on this alleged Debt, that is already insured ,why are there trying to repo my vehicals, is it insurance frud ., I believe that Redwood Credit Union has no contract so thats why there violating the Laws State and Fedreal and the only contract that they might have is from ***************** ****** , and there's no auto loan contract that I signed with redwood credit union when have they gave money or cash or ck they never did ,.Also rewood credit union has prevent me from using my bank account and savings accounts and holding my money hostage.Initial Complaint

I am deeply distressed by the recent discovery that my nonpublic information has been shared with three bureaus, leading to the dissemination of inaccurate information on my credit report. This has caused significant financial and emotional distress.I wish to emphasize my rights under 15 USC **** Section 602, which guarantees my right to privacy. Furthermore, 15 USC **** Section 604 A Section 2 explicitly states that a consumer reporting agency cannot furnish an account without my written instructions, which has not been provided.Additionally, under 15 USC **** B, a creditor is prohibited from treating any payment on a credit card account as late for any purpose, yet discrepancies have arisen.I urge immediate action to rectify these issues and cease the dissemination of inaccurate information. Redwood Credit Union has been reporting *** Active credit card on my credit report. I was informed my payment was late and if I made a payment the credit card would be active. Now 11 months later I am now trying to use the card and they said it is expired due to 30 days past due. There has been no notification of this. I came to the branch on 11/15/2023 to request a reprint of the card and I was informed the card was active. Now reaching out to the back office to resolve this issue they are not owning up to resolve the issue based of the misinformation they have given me.Initial Complaint

They vehemently advocate for people who are not me, and not authorized by me to fraudulently use a credit card and bank/debit card issued by them. When reported they never followed up with me, allowed a merchant to make fruadulent charges to the card and then cut off all access to my money and accounts and falsely report to my credit. They jave harassed me, fruadulently charged me charges without acknowledgement or warning, some reversed others not and it has no recourse. If emailed by them you cannot stop, report, or correct a false issue or document and the unsubscribe options and email options come back as undeliverable by mail system (even when using live clickable link in continuously harassing emails from them ABOUT unsubscribing) not a single way to correct it and only an internal run around.Initial Complaint

In October, 2022, Redwood Credit Union had an offer whereby I could invest at 3% with a one-time chance to go to a higher rate in the future. I made an appointment by phone and was contacted by the ********* office. The lady gave me the current rate if I invested $240K in CDs for 17 months. I verified that Id have the option to change to a higher interest rate and she said Yes, no problem, we can do that! or words to that effect. She was very matter-of-fact and gave me the impression it was assumed, simple. She transferred the funds and since calls are recorded I considered this a valid agreement. I decided to exercise that option today because the rates were at ****%. I called and was told I didnt choose that option and my current interest would have been slightly decreased if I had. I said I made it clear that I wanted that option on the phone and would not have invested if I was locked into 3%. After a lengthy but very courteous back and forth and holding, I was told I could get the ****% rate but my investment will cap at $250K (or about 4 months no interest before the 17-month term). I said this was another thing I wasnt told, that interest isnt paid once you reach $250K. It was very confusing. Another option was early withdrawal and reinvesting at a higher rate. When I have inquired about early withdrawal penalties previously on two occasions, I was told the fee is approximately one months interest. Now I was quoted over $1700 (about 3 times as much) in penalties and Ive looked all over their site and cannot find where they state what the fees are for early withdrawal. So basically its not my fault that the lady who set me up skipped the bump up option and Id like to see in writing what early withdrawal penalties were back in October of 2022. I will be looking at other institutions and need to know what it will cost to withdraw. Its very disappointing to be promised things to entice you to invest that are not fulfilled later.
