My hubby and I have frequented several of the Stark's restaurants as newcomers to the ************** area. And on more than one occasion we were not treated as valued customers. On one occasion, the owners daughter extended a gift certificate to ** after witnessing firsthand the rude way the hostess spoke to me.On another dining occasion, I found a sharp pointy chicken bone in my soup. When the manager arrived at the table she said, well the chef didnt mean to do it and Ive taken it off your bill. Here attitude was one that didnt seem to care that I could have almost died! Her indifferent response towards the situation was disturbing, frankly shocking. But the incident that has compelled me to write this review occurred at the Starks Steak House restaurant.During a happy hour visit, that ***** and frequented quite often, the General Manager humiliated and admonished ** in front of three staff members and other patrons within earshot of a busy bar over a side of potatoes. The behavior exhibited was at a minimum, unprofessional, disturbingly nasty and pointed toward customers who frequent many of your restaurants regularly. As I am of African ******** descent, I can't help thinking that the callus way that the ** spoke to me was in some way a personal attack. Would she have spoken to me that way if I were a white male? When I contacted the owner and explained the incident, he defended his **, told me that my claim was unfounded and there was no malintent.
