On June 13th, 2024, Jackson Family Wines hosted a wine dinner at the **************************** steakhouse. I attended the event with others who received the invite from the casino host. The event's host stated during his introduction that he would be stopping by each table to talk about the wines. That did not happen. He passed by my table five times and completely ignored me. I was not the only attendee who came alone but was one of maybe five African Americans at the event. He only stopped at the table across from mine and spoke to the black couple only after ****************, who was sitting next to his table (with her daughters), approached him about this matter. To add insult to injury, I had to get out of my seat and approach one of the servers about not serving me the dessert cake, which was the last course of the evening. All the tables around me had received the dessert cake and were just about finished eating the serving. After I departed the restaurant, ***************** and others discussed their disappointment with the dinner host. I stated that I would file a complaint with the *** before approaching the Casino. We are in 2024 and still have to deal with issues such as this.
