    This so called company tax group center told ***** was going towards my taxes and should pat my self on the back for paying off irs and month later was told it was for there services, after they get your money they dont want to talk to you and give you the run around, laad so called boss is in on it too, stay away from this so called company, and there best line is were looking into it and never get back in touch with you

    On 8/25/2023 I hired this company to handle my IRS tax issues, and also state of California taxes. It is now March 2025 and I have no resolution. I have called, emailed beyond the normal amount of times for a response and have not heard anything back from this company. I have paid them a lot of money with no result, and all I get is lip service at best if and when they respond. I am filing this complaint because I have been more than patient with this company and I need my situation rectified because Ive done my part and done everything that theyve asked me and also payment wise as well.

    In april ** 2024 I called and spoke to a man that claimed he could help lower some back taxes The cost was 1500. With payments of 260 a month. Well when the monthly was due they were prompt to call. I use an account i would have to transfer money too.Well after i paid the money. My case took another 3 months. I was told they had reached a settlement. But I was never given the amount. We are 2 months into this new year. And I have made several attempts top make contact. Im sent straight to a voice mail that says ext 242 is not accepting calls. The Number list on the web site is sending me directly the ext. ** the person I would need to ask the operator for, and that number is no longer accepting call. So I had my friend call. To no surprise he got a live person. Ask for ext 242. And got the same recording. When i call my number is sent to the Ext. but the new number is getting a live agent. Im going to make this clear. We have not resolved anything as of 02/25/1974. And i would love to hear them explain how number is going to straight to voice mail while my friend is getting a live agent. I was promised a refund if not satisfied. Im not satisfied and if i could get a person or persons on the phone from my actual number i will request one. So far all numbers listed on the web site send me to the same voice mail that ext 242 is not accepting any calls

    They took money and never contacted *** for any of what they said they would do they sent me a bill which has a lot of false statements one regarding that they left multiple voicemails when I have no voicemail set up and never reached back to me when I tried to correct the issue. I emailed them a red print circling everything like they asked me too and they have not responded

    Paid Tax Group for several years to resolve my tax debt with the ***. They were unresponsive when I requested my payment plan and how much was owed to the ****I finally contacted another tax agency and within a couple of weeks I know what I owe to the ***, my payment plan, and it was $20,000+ cheaper.Tax Group Center scam their customers. I paid them more than what I actually owe to the ***. I feel they need to be investigated on their business practices.

    I hired Tax Group Center in Sept of 2023 (paid them in October and November of 2023) to review whether the *** deficiency letter I received for tax year 2021 was accurate. I was assured me they could reduce the amount (at least the penalties owed) and I paid $1500 to retain them. After that ****** ******* was assigned my case and it was months of runarounds and non answers - until the amount owed to the irs ballooned another $4, 000 for payments/penalties, all while I was was being assured they would be able to remove the extra penalties and fees and not to worry. All LIES!! Finally I hear in Oct ***************************************************** to handle the form 843 requesting the penalties and fees be abated/removed. I just found out the *** denied that request even after Gersons review and approval of the form/letter. So *** did absolutely nothing but force me to give more money to the ***. ******** and predatory company. They dont answer calls and you cant get resolution as no one is ever available.

    I am rejecting this response because this company continues to behave in a shady manner. I sent them an email notifying them I filed a BBB complaint on 12/5 (which they deny receiving as per usual for this company) after attempts to resolve with ****** ******* directly. They ignored that email as they did numerous emails requesting an update on my case over the course of the last year. Tax Group Center, ****** ******* and **** ***** are predators of people in tax situations. Under no circumstances should they be trusted. I reiterated that they never completed the tax liability evaluation I HIRED them to complete and they responded by trying to invoice me for additional work. Do NOT hire this company under any circumstances, they are predatory and deceitful.

    We hired the Tax Group Center to help us resolve our *** debt. They guaranteed that it would be resolved in a year. We paid a deposit of $500.00 made monthly payments ending in a total $8,500.00. We called them on a weekly basis however they did not provide a resolution. After a year and 6 months they contacted us via telephone asking for an additional $3000.00 that they would pay on our behalf to the ***. They never paid the $3000.00 to the *** and never helped us resolve of Tax Debt. We contacted them to ask for a refund continuously. They have continuously verbally promised that they would be providing a refund. After, we have been communicating with them that we want a refund for approximately 6 months. Finally we sent a certified letter in October 2024, requesting our refund. We still have not received our refund. This company is a scam.

    I contracted with the Tax Group Center in 2019 through ***************** with issues related to back taxes for the years 2017 and 2018 and to file my taxes for the years 2019 and 2020. Over the years of time working with this company, not only were the agreed upon services not rendered but instead, I have incurred substantial additional fees and penalties due to the complete lack of action on my behalf. Including, but not limited to the *** threatening to place a lien on my assets requiring I hire a lawyer for representation, additional costs associated to this company.During the service period, I was assured my issues were being resolved and pressured to continue utilizing their services suggesting that there was movement in my case and leaving your firm would result in delays and potential loss of progress due to the transfer of information. This is all while my case was passed across multiple different representatives within Tax Group Center, multiple times without my notice, making it incredibly difficult for me to get information on the status of my case. Additionally, in 2021 my taxes were inaccurately filed and never adjusted properly. I then terminated my service agreement and have since formally requested, via e-mails and phone calls, a complete report of all actions taken by Tax Group Center related to my case. These requests have gone unanswered outside of Tax Group Center suggesting I should recontract for additional services. Since Ive repeatedly requested proof of action and not received any documentation that work was completed for my case, at bare minimum, I am requesting my service fees be refunded. To which, Ive also not received a response. This business is a total scam and only compounds consumer debt.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I completely reject this response from the Tax Group Center and find it misleading and grossly dismissive. 

    The spirit of their referenced email in October was solely based on my email request to provide documentation of any filings or documents that they have completed any work towards resolving my case. Their suggestion that I provide more documents, and they would work towards a resolution is exactly the opposite of my communication that I no longer had faith that they had rendered any services on my behalf and no longer wanted them to act on my case. For this reason, I did not provide any additional materials and responded to their referenced email in October stating, again, I no longer wanted their services and requested yet again documentation for previous work on my case. My multiple requests to provide my case materials have never been acknowledged and are still outstanding.

    I had contracted with the Tax Group Center starting in 2019 through2021. They never made any progress on my case and never even filed my 2020 taxes. All services I paid for were never rendered and when I request anything to show proof to the contrary, they counter and ask me for more information so they can undoubtedly charge me for more services they will not provide.

    I want to make it noticeably clear this company is predatory and has lied and manipulated me for years into believing they are helping when in fact they are doing nothing and collecting payments. This is all while fees and penalties are stacking up with the *** to the extent the amount that I owe has ballooned by approximately an additional  $45,000 since I first contracted with Tax Center Group. Not to mention I also had to retain a lawyer as the *** was threatening liens on my assets and seizure of my passport.

    Overall, I have paid Tax Group Center approximately $26,000, the *** approximately $10,000, and legal fees approximately $3,500 as of today, December 23, 2024. Please note, NONE of these payments have gone towards the repayment of my back taxes. These payments to the Tax Group Center were used to line their pockets (as far as I can tell), the payments to the *** and my lawyer were to avoid seizure of my passport and liens on my property, and now I am here.

    This business has misled me every step of the way and preyed upon me when I was seeking help. I am disgusted by the suggestion that they can resolve my case. This is the same lie that they have fed me for almost five years.

    I am seeking a refund for the payments made to the Tax Group Center as a bare minimum. However, if this company was genuinely interested in a resolution, a refund of the payments made and the additional fees accumulated due to their lack of action would be the proper remediation.

    Again, I'm concerned with Tax Group Center's lack of transparency, misleading response, and complete disregard to the issues I've raised.

    I was not contacted by anyone from the business until days after receiving this response provided to BBB. When a customer service representative did contact me on January 9, 2025, it was solely to request additional documentation from me and to solicit additional services. At no point during the conversation was any reference made towards the internal investigation they claim to have initiated. Further to this suggested investigation, the business advised at the time of my initial complaint to BBB an investigation would be opened at that time. Based on this follow-up response, it seems that was another falsehood. I want to reiterate that I do not want, or need, Tax Group Center's services. Their failure to honor their previous obligations continues to cause considerable financial, emotional, and mental distress over the course of the past six years to present day. I am solely seeking reimbursement for the money paid towards the contracted services that were never rendered.

    I too would like to resolve this quickly and amicably and would like to have this investigation prioritized and request a conversation with management to discuss their findings. However, I'm fairly certain, the 'investigation' is simply another delaying tactic to avoid facing the repercussions of their inaction and to exhaust me to the point of surrender. As such,I'd request there be a timeline provided and summary of the steps taken thus far in the investigation.

     I do not want to take legal action to recoup my service fees. However, I have retained legal counsel and will take action if a resolution is not forthcoming within the next 60 days.

    I hired Tax Group Center with specific details told to me that they would resolve my tax issue and have a resolution in 6 months. That time came and they continued to make excuses. I hired them because my father passed away and I had many other life emergencies that caused me no time to deal with the ***. This company is a scam. They took $5,000 or my money and then called predatorily to ask for another $5,000 for state taxes. It was pretty obvious at this point that something was fishy because the person that violently called me, ********, ended up trying to file the wrong year that I had already filed. She also seemed to be on drugs or something. After talking with the *** after my life has been placed in somewhat of an order again I have found out that all they have done in 12 months is request documents twice from the ***. This is after I gave them 14 years of my bank information and full power of attorney, twice, for my ***. This company is a scam and I either want my my money back or them to have legal filings against them and a notification on the *** website that clearly states this company is fraudulent. I also want to see them delisted on ****** and other places of search because they are predatory to their 'customers' and scamming them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Liars and cheats. This company is the definition of why people hate lawyers.
