I've been renting out a unit to use as an art studio, I had a unit for about 1.5 years. For the last 6 months this place has not been what I paid for or what I agreed to when signing the contract. It's a mess and it's unsafe. There's trash everywhere, right outside the entrance there was trash piled higher then the door frame. I pay a security fee monthly and I recently walked into the entrance only to be confronted by a pit Bull off leash, looking aggressive while the security guard was hanging out with the owner (which they have on camera)This is the second time I've come across a vicious dog off leash in the halls. The trash issues so bad that regularly the trash people won't pick it up. The parking lot is often full of trash, pallets, furniture and junk thrown where ever. The soap and paper towel dispensers in the bathroom have been broken for months now. The halls are often packed with pallets to the point it's hard to walk thru. The halls are filthy and numerous people are living in the facility making it not a comfortable place to work. Resulting in me not being able to get things done there and some clients refuse to come to pick up their artwork because they feel unsafe. I've brought this to the attention of management but nothing changes. When I first rented the unit I signed a contract that said i would not be living in my unit, I would not leave pallets or trash in the halls, I would not have dogs here, and I would put trash in designated areas. None of these things are being practiced, besides constant emails management has done nothing to fix these issues. The security guard is well aware of those living in the units and those with off leash dogs yet nothing is done. I don't feel safe there and it's not the type of facility I can work at. I've given management more then enough time to fix the situations but nothing has been done. I would like to be reiunbursed for 6 months rent since I haven't been using it due to the issues.
