I had an appointment for 2 spa pedicures, and I added the service of a manicure with gel, I was told the price and I agreed to ***** for my daughter's pedicure and ***** for mine, and ***** dollars for my manicure. For a grand total of ******. I was asked if I would be paying by cash or debit and my daughter replied debit. The nail tech attending to me left and went to the register, she came back and asked my daughter for her pin number. My daughter politely declined, and told her to run it on credit, she refused. She was then made to get up, while her nails were still wet and walked over to the register with the nail tech directly in front of her and a male tech followed closely behind my daughter. It was at this point I realized what was going on. These people had the audacity to act as if we gave off any type of vibe towards the idea we weren't going to pay. The first nail tech ran my daughter's card and immediately asked us if we had another card because this one declined. At the same moment my daughter got an alert from her mobile banking app stating the money had been taken from her account ion the amount of ******. she continued to claim it declined and called 3 more nail techs to the front of the nail shop. one of these new techs came behind me and locked myself and my daughter into the nail salon, she asked my daughter who's debit card it was and repeatedly asked her if this card belonged to her or someone else. after running the card a few more times, they realized it had gone through, but the initial nail tech failed to add receipt tape the machine. she then printed 2 copies of the receipt and has my daughter sign it; the second nail tech continued to scream in my face as well as my daughters. When she confirmed that she had actually received the money (after checking her bank info) she said nothing, no apology, walking out and that's when I realized she had locked us in. All this time they still had possession of my daughter's debit card.

I went into Salon for pedicure. When I paid, the salon charged my debit card for my pedicure, then also charged my debit card $146.88 for the other person owed that was also standing at the counter to pay. There were 3 employees at register all trying to ring us up.I went back to salon and they had the owner, ****, call me. While talking with him over the phone, he texted me the photos of the receipts, which show different signatures, and the charges at two different times. The other person signed her receipt clearly. The owner didnt believe his staff made a mistake, accused me of scamming him, and lied about watching video footage. He is refusing to refund me the $146.88.

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:

    Dear BBB -
I did not receive or missed the response from Signature Nail that you forwarded to me. Please reopen this complaint or provide instructions on how I can proceed with this complaint.

I *****% do not agree with the response and know the owner is lying. I do not know the person or people that his staff charged my card for.
His staff charged my card without my permission due to a mix up at the time of payment while several people were trying to charge both my and the other persons card.

He never mentioned he had witnesses, he said he had a camera and when I asked to see the footage it he accused me of trying to scam him.
If he has camera footage it will show me walking in alone, sitting alone across the salon, and never talking to the other people because I do not know them.

Additionally, why would I sign two separate transactions with totally different names and signatures?
I doesn't even make sense even if it were a scam. Hes accusing me of going around paying for my "friends" and hoping to get reimbursed? What benefit would I even get out of that? That is the dumbest scam I've ever heard of and Im not a dumb person.

    Sincerely,
    ************************
