I have had the email address ************************************** since 2005. However I closed the recovery email address ********************* over 6 years ago. I forgot to change this recovery e-mail, but I figured it didn't matter as I have my phone number attached to my Yahoo account. Now, whenever I login and after I verify myself via 2factor authentication with my phone number, it ALSO asks for verification from my email which no longer exists. It refuses to let me into the account even to change the recovery email address. I refuse to pay yahoo just to be put on hold and have an underpaid overseas agent with poor English tell me, "Sorry, we can't do that." I do not want my personal information stolen. This is ridiculous. All I need is to disable or change the recovery e-mail. I can already prove the account is mine via my phone number so I can reset my password.

Yahoo mail is a scam they intentionally lock you outbof your account and force you to pay for their paid support. Support should always be free and after researching I'm not the only one having this problem

Yahoo! has removed the "security questions" from the list of options for a account recovery. That was my only method for getting my account back. They have failed to inform me of this change. I am now locked out of the account and the only way they said they can solve my issue is if I pay the membership fee. I have very important emails in that account and I should not have to pay a subscription fee because they took away my only form of account recovery. I have also tried to contact a supervisor which his/her response was-"The phone service will continue to be a paid service".

I am currently unable to access my yahoo account, which is connected to other important accounts and information I need. The recovery email I am also unable to access to reset the password because the email listed is my dead grandmothers - there is absolutely no way I can access that either. The online help Yahoo offers was of no help to me and useless for my situation. There are limited help options, forcing you toward the paid service for recovering the account. I am unable to get help from Yahoo unless I pay them for their service, this should not only be illegal but Yahoo has the online help set up in a way that is unhelpful as a way to direct customers toward the paid service.

I got locked out of my primary email address which was through yahoo! which I've used for over 11 years without any problems, but due to my information being in a data breach someone decided to acces my email addresses, both yahoo! and ****** which was the recovery email address on file. after regaining access to my textnow phone number that was also changed in the attack I could call the 800 number provided on Yahoo!s webpage and after verifying my identity using my wv state drivers license and and impromptu selfie she then verified my address and informed me that in order to proceed she needed payment which varied between $13.00 something down to $4.99 so I gave her my payment info that I told her that I cannot check the balance *** to being locked out of my emails, hence the call.. judgeing by my text messages I knew that my account has already been linked to another bank but was unsure if any balance would have remained to complete the "******" imposed by this billion dollar tech company. Needless to say the account was wiped and I guess I'm off to the convienience store to purchase a prepaid debit card (sounds just like the scams I see on ********** in order to access my already verified account so that I may be able to stop this hacker who has more rights to my account than I do, until I pay up.

I have had a yahoo email account for decades and it was my primary account until recently. Upon trying to sign into my EA account which I set up using my yahoo email many years ago and is necessary to access content Ive paid for, I was told I needed to reset my yahoo email password to access my EA account. I know my email and password and my security question, but it claims the answer is wrong. When I try to use my phone number to recover the account a code is never sent to my phone. When I go to yahoos website, they tell me I have to pay a fee to talk to customer support to recover my account. ********************** is the one preventing me from accessing my account, and is ransoming it off to me through their customer service.

I pay for yahoo mail plus. anytime I have to do a restore or recovery they block my email that holds ****** copyrighted photos and 31 years work on the family tree. I'm in 58 movies. And being on every website on the web, they want 3 cell phone photos which I take and send and they claim they don't get. It's ****** copyright violations to do anything with my photos without my written permission. THAT is the definition of a copyright. re isn't a single website I'm not pictured on. I will fly and confront their CEO in person. He might want to hide, seeing only 1 man has done more stunt fighting in the history of movies. 3 men with rifles and bayonets I can give concussions to in 90 seconds. As I've shown in 40 of the 50 movies I'm in. I gave them access to ******* pictures directly from movies but they want 3 crappy photos from a cell phone instead. Which I sent, My phone said they received them but they are lying saying they didn't receive them. Expect massive retaliation in court ****** separate copyright violations. I'm flying out to confront their CEO in person, he might want to resign or run to his mommy.

The user is able to contact paid support and has multiple recovery methods on file. Yahoo does require matching verification through a variety of means when a user contacts support as security is our top priority.

I've had this email since 2000. access my email every so often because of what I have attached to that email I Tried to recover my password to get access to my email. I had my security recovery in place as well, but I no longer have access to the telephone number. I tried to call for support claims the system has control over identifying who you are. Support claims they have no control or alternative to matching ur identity any other way. No one now at yahoo has clearance to fix the system to put another recovery email or telephone number in. There for I can not gain access to my original email account.. All frustrating. They want to creat a new address but all my history emails cannot be accessed in a new account. There is something wrong at yahoo management. When did this recovery for everyone start. So many complaints with no resolutions? I want to get access to my original email account another way besides the old phone numbers that I can't change. Please Help i really need access to my old email!!!!!

Locked out of my 10+ year old Yahoo account ************************************** and forced to pay a outrageous fee to regain access for one email. I can understand that Yahoo is a business but you would at least think they would show some care towards their loyal customers. Even calling the ********************** support line, I am put on hold for 10+ mins just to be told they can't assist me.
