The initial transaction was April 10, 2023 and I was charged $100 ( by Auto Warranty) for the deposit for a vehicle extended warranty. Almost immediately, 5 unauthorized charges posted to my account and I believed the warranty deposit was also fraudulent. I called my credit card and reported fraud charges. They were verified as unauthorized and I was issued a replacement card, so future charges from this company would be denied. I tried calling the phone number related to the $100 deposit to request a refund, but I was told this was a good charge made by a reputable company (Vanguard Vehicle Armor). I was transferred to a "specialist" who continued trying to sell me their product. I had not received their packet of information since it was mailed to the wrong address. The specialist sent another my mail but I have not read the material and have been advised by professional friends that I should not keep the policy. I was harassed daily for the monthly payment for the policy and I repeatedly told the representatives I wanted a refund when I answered the calls. The final straw before this report-- I asked for a refund and was transferred to a specialist, as before, and the rude person on the other side of the phone would not take my request but instead kept calling me by my name in a very condescending way, interrupting me and my requests for a refund. I tried explaining to her that I didn't want to hear her sales pitch. She continued harassing me and would not acknowledge my request for a refund. Finally, after about ***** min she said I was no longer eligible for a refund and since I was recorded as saying I had authorized the initial deposit, she would not honor my request. This practice of charging for a deposit and not honoring the customers request for a refund constitutes extremely poor business practices. And since I was not notified of the refund policy, I don't believe they have rights to keep my deposit. They are "wolves dressed in sheep's clothes."

Vanguard Vehicle Armor is a scam. They sell a vehicle extended warranty by do not provide customer service when you call. They only provide an 800 # that no one answers and never returns calls. I called to cancel my agreement in December 2022 and I'm still waiting for a refund check. I've called many times and talked a ********, retention specialist, ********************** **************************** and **** another retention specialist and no one has requested a refund check to be issued for $350.00 that ******** promised. I called the company that handled their payments EFS Companies and this is the "alert" message that you should not do business with a company who does not process their own payments and refunds. According to the rep from EFS companies, there is no information about issuing a refund due to agreement termination. I'm going to write to State Attorney ************** to look into this business and all of you who have been taken advantage of should do the same. There needs to be a better way to discourage fraudulent business to do business in IL.

This business contacted my grandmother months ago stating I needed a warranty for my car. She didnt know what it was but wanted to make sure I was safe. She signed up and has been billed for it consistently for a warranty on my car, my car that she has nothing to do with. I want her to be given a refund because no matter how many times I try calling I can never get through to anyone. I am not scared to file prearbitration .

On April 6th 2022 I canceled our policy with vanguard. We were to receive a refund after cancellation. At first we were told our cancellation will process within 10 days and we will receive a letter in the mail. We have yet to receive any letter. I have called every month since to check the status. Every time I call I'm told the policy is canceled but the file says my refund is still being processed. On March 24th 2023 I sent a letter as I was told that could potentially help speed up the process. I called back today april 26th 2023 and was again told there were no changes and to keep waiting.

On 2/9/2023 they tried to charge my credit card $165.33 and my credit card was canceled because we thought it was fraudulent since it was a strange LLC company. When we spoke on the phone they said they would lower the price to $145 but were trying to charge $165 and they were only going to charge that once we received package to look over it but we never received anything and not even an email. They called us since the credit card had been canceled and that's when we found out that it was then trying to charge our credit card. We explained to them that we never heard from them again so we didn't feel comfortable dealing with them anymore. We asked them to remove our information from their business and they said they still wanted the $165. They said they would cancel because we are within 30 day grace ****** but they refused to put it in writing and said they still wanted the first month payment.

This place is bad they make everything sound great until its time to get reimbursed. There is very bad communication.be aware of this company they are scammers.

The last 2 years I have been receiving mailed letter "Final Notice". The latest one I received was last month. I have tried to call and email them to remove myself from their mailing list or contact list each time I receive a letter, but that has not worked. I am just tried of getting these letters and want them to stop mailing me.
