December 10th, 2023 As a resident of North Pointe Apartments, I've received and had been following updates on the asphalt repairs of the property in order to avoid my car being towed from my assigned parking spot. On Sunday, December 10th, I woke up extra early to move my car out. I found a spot that was vacant in an area that was safe, according to the printed out map of the complex, and pdf file that was emailed to the residents. I also noticed physical posts with signage around the perimeters, however they did not match with the maps provided. I decided to follow the two maps over the signage. I did so since some of the signage around the area were indicating no parking in areas that were previously worked on and asphalt repairs have been completed, according to email updates and the most recent maps provided. After approximately 2 hours after parking, I left my apartment to leave for the day only to find my car missing, and the towing company at work with other vehicles. I submitted an email to the management office to ask for a reimbursement of what I paid for the towing company to release my vehicle, since it was due to erroneous information given from the property regarding safe parking spots during the asphalt repairs. The email exchange was not pleasant, and I never recieved a follow-up as I was told I'd recieve on Friday December 15th. I had alerted the property, that I would file a complaint, and I seek either a $450 credit towards my January rent, or $450.00 cash, since this is the manner in which I payed the towing company.Initial Complaint
