We have several videos of unprofessional house calls from these employees. Our chief of police had to get involved in the incident. Which resulted in the employees having to put tires back on for damaging the property and where nearly arrested.Initial Complaint

I was looking for a set of rims and tires and found Rent a Wheel. I got pre-approved on the website and found the items I wanted, paid the initial $20 start up fee (which also states no deposit required) and waited for the call from the closest store. When they called they informed me I would need to pay another $150 deposit to even get the items put on. I ultimately decided to not get the product. I tried calling the store multiple times and every time they would act like they couldnt hear me. When I finally got to speak to someone who could hear me ( over a week later) they said I would have to go through the chat option on the website. For two weeks every time I went to the website chat, no matter what time of day it was, agents were unavailable. I finally get to speak to someone today who informs me the fee is non-refundable. I went over everything I could find on the website and there wasnt a single place that stated the start up fee wasnt refundable UNTIL I updated my zip code, in which it only states non-refundable if you click terms and conditions at the bottom of a product page. Their website is extremely misleading and Im frustrated that I lost out on money when I wasnt even provided a service.Initial Complaint

I went to rent a wheel on Wednesday May 29 2024 and asked for a price quote on 4 pirelli tires for my vehicle ******** amg 350. I was quoted around ( ballpark) $1163.00 for all 4 not including tax. Tires came in Friday morning May 31 2024 so I brought my vehicle in around 10:30 am. At that time I was told I needed to pay for the tires before installation so I proceeded to pay. Punched up my ticket on computer and told me that my grand total was $2061.67. You can imagine my shock at this so I asked where the difference came from and I was told that is the price the tires must have went up. As I included on my receipt the hand written amounts are direct prices from pirelli tire company for the exact tires I purchased. There is a ****** difference in pricing I think this is price gouging because of what I drive. Its unfair to consumers to have to experience this kind of treatment from a local business that you try to support.Initial Complaint

I am renting wheels from this company and have fallen past due on my account due to financial hardships right now. My issue is that they are calling my employer which is jeopardizing my job and when I asked for my employer to be removed because under no circumstances are you supposed to call my job to locate me or discuss my bill they claimed they removed the number and then told me they didn't and would proceed to call them. Rent-A-Wheel convinced me to buy 20" rims and tires for my 2010 ****** Altima, and refused to tell me about the impact they would have on my suspension and that the lack of wheel well space would cause me to experience repeated blowouts due to not enoughside wall on the tire to keep the rim from directly hitting the asphalt. After attempting to discuss this with them, they also refused to accept rims back or refund ant of the money spent on them. They are in the Market to make a sale, even of it means that the customer is left in the dark regarding any impact on their vehicle due to potentially dangerous rims. I am seeking accountability in this situation and a partial refund of the money spent.Initial Complaint

Person who sold ** tires mixed up our contract info with another customers info we were never called or mailed any letter to let us know anything then few months later we are charged 5 different amounts totaling $760 we have paid multiple accounts with them on a weekly basis and told the girl that answered phone why werent we contacted or mailed a letter she said you knew you owed money we kept calling you the info on contract was not our info it was another customers from ******** ** we are from Seminole ** we told them we cant have them debit our account like that without any kinda heads up $760 in one day is a lot when we didnt make the mistake they did super horrible customer service they dont know what the heck they are doing mixing up contracts and then blaming the customer for the employees mistake!!!!!Initial Complaint

I purchased 4 tires from rent a wheel.I told them at the time of signing my rental agreement that I get paid on the 8th of the month and was told that's fine then on the 1st of the month they started calling and harassing me telling me my payment was late.I bought 4 new tires from ******* and shipped rent a wheels tires back to them but I'm still being harassed and they are trying to scam me by telling me I can settle the bill but giving me different payment amounts.I have received 4 different settlement offers in less then a week.Initial Complaint

I purchased a set of tires and chrome rims for my truck. Just recently I noticed that the rims are peeling. I called and then went into the store to speak with someone. I paid for CHROME rims and the material, if its real, should not be peeling. These rims cost a considerable amount of money and the company should have at least offered a partial refund or to replace the product. Instead I was told that theres nothing that they can do. Also the guy I spoke with refused to put me in touch with the district manager. I would like a call and a resolution. I had previous purchased tires and rims for my car and theres nothing wrong with those. So, their theory about the lenght of time that the rims have been on my truck is hogwash because the ones on my car are fine and theyre older than the ones on my truck. On September 30, 2022 my husband and I went and got some rims and tires ******* the old store manager was very helpful very attentive and we never had a problem. Shortly after acquiring the rims and tires I miss our first payment due to a misunderstanding. Shortly after that, *******, the account manager calls my son at his place of employment, asking him about the payment for the rims and tires. My son tried to explain to him that my husband would be making a payment needed that week rather than wait ******* threatens my son tells him that if payment wasnt made that same day that he was personally going to make sure that our rims and tires were repossessed and was going to leave our car without any tires. My son calls and tells me the conversation that he had just had with *******. I immediately called the store and spoke to ******* the store manager. I explain to him the situation he gracefully apologized and said that from here on out that he would be handling our account fast forward to February 23 and I made a payment that I specifically stated was for two weeks, I made the payment with ***** but before doing so I requested to speak to the store manager, but she then said he was . I then made the payment that I said was for two weeks until my husbands next pay period. Not realizing that it was only for one week. In February 23 they called again requesting payment. My son explained the situation and was told again that if payment was not made, they were going to leave our car on blocks without any tires. He then told them that the conversation should be had with myself or my husband, but rather than call either one of us, they continued to call and harass my son at his job. I called March 10 23. Spoke to ***** and asked for the regional manager and was given the name of *****. After speaking with my husband, we have decided that we no longer want to deal with rent a tire and will be giving the merchandise back.Initial Complaint

Contacted this company to get a quote for wheels and tires. They were $1500 over the most expensive price I could find then they wanted $160 over the most expensive tires I found for my car. They have been incessantly contacting me daily for the past 3 weeks and triweekly for the past 6 months. I have told/asked them to STOP and they haven't. MY next step will be a lawsuit
