      I went to hotel. Paid for one night. I also paid extra for early check in. I only used the room for about 4 hours. I went to work. When I left I put a so not disturb sign on the door. While I was at work the hotel decided to clean my room that had a do not disturb sign on door. And also decided since I was not in the room that they would clean it and rent it to someone else even though I paid for the room already. When I asked about me being charged and then the hotel also charging another person for the same room, I was told "I wasn't in the room so we rented it to someone else". They refused to give me any kind of refund, they refused to refund my early check in fee. When I checked into the room. It was 4am and they guy who checked me said the printer wasn't working so he could not give me a receipt. He said when they got the printer working in the morning that I could come down to get a copy of the receipt. When I asked for the copy of the receipt the hotel refused to give it to me.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/26) */ Thank you for reaching out to the Better Business Bureau regarding your check in and stay here at the Days Inn of West Covina. I would like to address your complaint according to your email complaint to the Better Business Bureau. First and foremost everything is video and audio recorded here at the hotel we have numerous signs stating that as well. You did check into the hotel at 4:15 AM. You are stating that you paid an early check in fee? If you could please state the amount that you paid, because you did not pay an early check in fee nor was the room rented out for two nights. You did pay the rack rate for the single night. Our regular hotel practice is to call the guest about 11 o'clock to see if you would like to extend or check out. But due to no answer at 11:15am an employee had went and knocked on the door and yes there was a do not disturb sign on the door. There was no answer so staff had advised the front desk that there was no answer at the door. After Front Desk staff tried calling the room numerous times and still there was no answer housekeeping staff did go into the room there was no personal belongings nor was there any contact by you to the hotel front desk saying that you would like to extend as your room was only rented for one night. As you keep saying that you paid an early check in fee what was the amount you payed. There was no early check-in fee because you can't even state the amount that you paid. You only paid for one night room and tax at the rack rate also you signed the registration form at the time of check-inn stated that it was for one night. You stated that the printer was broken at the time of check-inn if it was broken we would not have been able to check you inn nor would you have been able to sign the registration form. You also stated that you requested a receipt at the time of check-inn you did not request anything at the time of check-inn once again we do have everything audio and video recorded. Also we are not able to print a receipt at the time of check-inn because there has not been any charge made we can issue a copy of the cash that was taken inn only. Also you came inn argued with the front desk staff for about 30 minutes even though you did get your security deposit back of $100 dollars. It is also audio and video recorded. After the fact that you came in after 1PM and started arguing with the front desk staff. This is not the first time we have dealt with you this is not the second time nor the third time we've dealt with you. Once again if you keep having problems here at our hotel why do you keep coming back? Why do you keep inconveniencing yourself? Is it because we are One of the better hotels in the area? Is it because we take pride in our hotel? Is it because we take pride in our hotel and we take pride in our cleanliness? Is it because we take pride inn running a tight ship here to ensure the safety of all our guest and hotel as do not allow parties or riffraff here? Or is it because you think that you can get stuff for free here at the Days Inn of West Covina all the time as we are a smaller hotel? I would love to hear your feedback. We do apologize *** ******* that you keep having problems here at our hotel the Days Inn Of West Covina this is the third time that you have filed an official complaint about our hotel. Moving on forward. I think it's in both parties interest you no longer stay here with us. Also you will no longer be allowed to stay here at this hotel so please do not show up at our property anymore. We do apologize for the inconvenience but it seems that you have a problem every time that you check inn here so we don't understand why you keep coming back. We are no longer going to be accommodating you here as you always have a problem and are always trying to get something for free. We do apologize about the inconvenience that this will bring to you but to avoid all further conflicts I think it'* in both parties interest for you not to come to this property any more. I dont care if you have audio and video recording. I have nothing to hide. You obviously are not aware of how much I paid since you stated I relieved my $100 deposit back-i did not pay $100 for the deposit and $100 was not given to me when I went in and had the conversation with the front desk. So maybe you should watch your videos and listen to your audios so that may be informed with the correct amounts cuz you obviously are clueless to what the real amounts were. But when you do finally check those and inform yourself of the real amounts regarding this situation, I might take what you say as the truth and not false lies that you are speaking but not providing any kind of evidence to back up what you are saying. 2. You mention I didn't pay for two nights, which you are correct I didn't pay for 2 nights cuz I wasn't trying to stay for 2 nights. I paid for 1 night+early check in. And that's not me saying that, that is what your employee working that night stated to me on the phone and then again in person. I checked in Monday morning and you guys rented my room to someone else Monday night....so where are you pulling your imaginary 2 nights when I only stayed in the room for less than 5 hours before you guys decided to scam me for my money and room? 5 hours isn't even one night and you are trying to turn 5 hours into 2 nights? 3. I dont know what you are talking about that everytime I stay I have problems....again false lies with nothing to back up what you are saying. I would also love evidence of all your accusations since I know they are false and that they are lies. Instead of making stuff up to get out of taking accountability of your criminal behavior that you clearly get away with often since it sounds like it'* a normal business practice at this point. I hardly ever stay at this hotel, and how you say everytime I stay there, as if I stay there often is a lie. So again I would love for you to watch and listen to your videos and audio so that you can be informed and have knowledge of the facts regarding this situation before attempting to respond on here lieing, making false statements, and trying to discredit my character, when right from the start you are not aware, informed, or have knowledge on the facts if you think $100 was paid for a deposit and that's what I got back cuz I didn't. And the employee who gave me the deposit back said here's the amount of deposit when he gave it to me right after I told him how much I paid and that I paid cash cuz he didn't know until I told him what amount I paid and that I paid it in cash. And I'm not trying to hide anything about how much I paid. You obviously don't know either that is why you are trying to fish out prices and try to twist and turn this however you can to get out of the fact that you scammed me for money, lie to me about what I was going to get for what I paid, stole my money, and then want to act like I deserved for you to steal my money because according to you I have a problem evwrytime I stay there but can't actually say anything other than that. Can't even say what my problems were since I have so many you should be able to say what they are since there are so many and happen so frequently right? You can LIE all you want, I don't need to lie or make things up. Since you don't know.....ill fill you in just a little bit..... I was told on the phone and in person(and im sure your videos and audios will have this on them): $130-for the room $20-early check in $70-deposit $200-total I gave 2-$100 bills So the whole excuse that I wasn't given a receipt because I ******* ******* yet is *** I paid cash, there was no card involved,therefore there was no way for you to charge me later. Therefore since I paid cash there wasn't anything stopping you from giving me a receipt the minute you took $200 cash from me. And don't worry I'm not missing out on anything by not staying at your hotel. You guys do not offer very much of anything for what you charge. Obviously there is no customer service and it'* very obvious that the only thing you get when someone stays at your hotel, is the room someone pays for that you then double book and make double money for the same room on the same night. And ill agree with you.....you will never again get the opportunity to act like a criminal and steal ****** lie to *** or trick me out of a ***** But that doesn't change the fact that you are in the wrong. And I won't accept you lieing and saying false things about me and this situation. And you won't intimidate me cuz im not afraid to speak the truth and I have nothing to hide. I cant say the same for you and your business practices. And I will not back down just because you are use to acting this way and doing these criminal ****** and getting away with them with others.
