  HORRIBLE company/app! This waste-of-a-company/app banned me for NO reason. Then when I asked what I was banned for, they never provided a reason! Dont even waste your time trying to appeal the ban because they will NOT reverse the decision. They will give you a run-around as to why you are banned! Not to mention, they let fake accounts, scammers, and underage persons to use this app. I reported an underage person I was talking to to find out he was back ok the app the next day.

  App has completely gone down hill. Incredibly glitchy. Not receiving emails, Taps and extreme delayed responses. Have reached out to customer support with no response. Am not receiving the product I paid for or any kind of support from the company that took my money. I will not be renewing, unfortunately. A free account at this point is exactly the same as the $100-$200 paid accounts with no accountability, updates, support or benefits of services advertised.

  I've been a paying customer for a few years now and renewed my subscription last year. Last month I received a ban. Knowing that I absolutely did not violate any terms or guidelines, I appealed it and Grindr emails me stating "we found violations of our rules that are considered bannable offenses" and they proceed to tell me that I will not receive a refund for my remaining 7 MONTHS of my paying subscription. I emailed back asking WHAT term/guideline did I "violate" because I'm 99% sure I did not violate terms. Instead of answering my question, they tell me the same thing "we found violations of our rules that are considered bannable offenses".Pushing further for a response as to WHAT rule/guideline I broke, the only thing they come back with is "out of respect for the privacy of all our users, we are unable to provide me with any additional details related to my ban". This I know is a LIE because if that is true then where was the same privacy at when two friends of mine, who were both banned from Grindr in the past, BOTH received an actual reason as to their ban? For some odd reason Grindr support was able to provide both of them with an explanation (one of them received an explanation that they were banned for "spamming", and the other friend of mine, was provided w/ the actual message he sent to a user which ended up causing his ban. Doesn't seem consistent from Grindr's end that you can provide some people with details as to what rule they broke but then others can not. They are breaking their own "privacy" policy by doing that.After many emails back and forth with support, they've made it clear that 1. my ban remains and will not be lifted, and 2. I will not be receiving a refund for unused credits. I wouldn't be this upset if I wasn't a paying customer, but to ban me AND take my money without providing me with the "rule I broke", that's unheard of and unethical.

  This app has tons of fraud, fake individuals who create profiles and hate people. The amount of disrespect and harassing words that is allowed on this app is bound to case someone to go over the edge. This app is a horrible way to talk to people and they have no control over verification of those who are using the app creating an external dangerous environment for those using it. People are allowed to hide who they are and use fake pictures to lure people in and on top of that when you buy ************* pack they kick you out and then once you file a complaint they allow you back in and then they cancel your subscription but they keep the money.

  I was banned from the Grindr dating app and with little explanation why. On Sunday August 6, 2023 I got a notice in the Grindr app that I was banned from the app. So I appealed the ban to Grindr asking why my profile was banned. Grindr Support emailed me back with a vague statement that "for privacy and safety reasons, we cannot provide any more specifics about why your account remains closed." On my Grindr profile I do not make any statements about money, politics, or religion. Although in the Grindr app I would receive a lot of direct messages from blank profiles saying, "hi, hey, yo" and other vague greetings like that. So I would reply back to these blank profiles with ramblings about nothing. I would ramble about extraterrestrials, recent bipartisan news stories, green energy, and my other dissertations. I never said anything threatening or hate speech; I got better things to do than demoralize a group of people. I never got a visit from the police or anything like that. How is Grindr allowed to accuse me and ban me as a safety issue when there isnt even a police report based on my behaviors? Grindr thinks theyre the judge, jury, and executioner. Gindr Support is also refusing to refund me $77.67 I paid for a year of service with Grindr.

  *** spent probably a total of 1000$ in 5 years for this company In subscriptions and Ive been banned every year without a reason why other then the terms and service at this point will probably proceed with legal due to the money lost. All Im looking for is for it to be fixed and this issue to stop happening.

  Grindr is *****, they banned me for no apparent reason other than taking precautions on who I would meet and standing up to a transphobic individual who was rude to me, as everyone else here I was banned without any notification or warning I just couldn't log back on saying my account was first suspended due to violation of their rules to later on just being banned so yeah very ***** people who is in control of grindr, from all these bad reviews about the app it's proof this is common, grindr should take a look at the bad reputation they have **** and on site ****** and the owner evaluate who is working for them, thankfully I didn't lose any money from this very ***** and weirdest app I have been on

  I was banned two days ago with no warning and the support staff will not respond to my emails. I followed all community rules, and did nothing wrong. I also paid $40 for this app, which will NOT be refunded. Buyer beware.
