      They refuse to respond. I took out a line of credit which was to be 48 months interest free. Before the sale could be completed the sales associate sent me an email saying that he clocked out and would finish the following day. I asked for a new sales associate and still have not received a call. I have repeatedly attempted to engage them via messenger but they keep delaying. It has since been 6 days with no resolution . I called the main number and talked to a rep who was kind but informed me that it’s now under a different promotion will attempting to raise the price. Still no resolution . i have a line of credit which is unused , and useless. The sales rep that I called today assured me that this would be given to his manager. He also informed me that the call had been recorded and would make sure that someone reached out. I have been scammed of my time and a hard hit on my credit. This couldn’t be a more reprehensible and discouraging transaction. Buyer beware!

      I have done business with Musician's Friend for 25 years. The customer service and pricing has always been top notch. Be careful of other big box musical instrument dealers, they claim to be SWEET.... and put a bag of candy in your order and then they are rude and block you and your negative comments about their rude customer service!       I bought a small Fender practice amp and when I received the item, it was defective. They sent me a return label via email, I don't have a printer and that means I have to go to the library, use their computer to open up the email and have them print out the return label. A huge hassle!

      I purchased what was described as a “ new” effects pedal, only to recieve what appeared to be open stock inventory from a guitar center affiliate. It had no box, no power supply, no user guide or warranty card. It was dirty and literally thrown in a box with bubble wrap. No contact was made to tell me I was gonna pay full price for used gear in unusable condition ( no power supply). I have done business with them over the years, so this was surprising to me. I requested a call from someone above sales to explain to me why this practice was ok, and no one bothered to call me. The product has been returned and now I wait for a refund, and hope that doesn’t take a long time. They took my money , including expedited delivery fee right away.

      Opened CC to order $1000 guitar with 48 month financing. Person on the phone told me how it was good I was ordering now and it is a hot item but they have them in stock. Did not mention they had none in stock and would try and send a guitar center floor model. Get email they don't have it and want to send me a GC floor model. I selected no, I want to wait for a new one. Called them as well and was assured I would get a new one and wait till October. Get email item is shipping from guitar center. called the GC and they said it was a floor model. Gear advisor says return item and he will call when item is received and will refund and replace order. He never called and ignored all my calls and emails so had to call another person to do the return and had to go through lengthy process to get the 48 month financing back since promo was over. Order was replaced, was told i wont be sent floor models. Get 2 emails today asking me if I want to wait or receive the GC floor model they want to push on me. Had to call again and say I want a new model and I still want to wait like I have been saying over and over again Have wasted probably 2 hours or more on phone taking time away from my job over this. I do not know how many times I must say I do not want a GC floor model. I was told my account will be noted to not send floor models. That along with 1st gear advisor ignoring all my emails and calls has been draining. I want brand new in the box given the price of the guitar and the tremolo system on this guitar. We will see if I get sent another GC floor model or get the new model have been asking for and willing to wait for. Cannot recommend shopping high end guitars here unless you are okay with getting guitar center floor models and dishonest salespeople wheeling and dealing floor models when you think you are buying a new guitar. also my order history disappeared and this current order does not even show up under orders after calling requesting new gear advisor

      Purchased a pair of used branded hihat cymbals for $239 and paid thru p*ypal. It was a very good deal that is why I immediately grabbed it. After few hours, received a notification that my order was cancelled. I asked them thru chat what happened and I was told they couldn't contact me and couldn't verify my payment. I asked what can I do, I was told to re order and use a different payment method. To my surprise the cost now of the same product same picture is $349. I would easily understand if they've just apologize to me due to maybe wrong price in the ad but to lie to me is not acceptable. I have purchased a lot of items in this site in the past. I never had a problem with p*ypal verification. This store is very disappointing.

      I purchased a "Lincoln Brewster Fender Strat" as a new item. They matched Guitar Center's price. My receipt says very clearly: Condition: New. After paying almost 2k, they sent me a message the next day indicating that the guitar had the pickguard lifted, but it was a new item. They gave me a $100 discount (which was fine because I thought it was a manufacturing defect). But I was wrong. They sold me a used item. The guitar had several scratches on the body and neck. I could tell it was a used one because not even the strings were new, and you could see the pickguard had scratches as well. The next day, I called Musician's Friend and left a message. They did not even call me; everything was done by email, and they never responded to my last email. They told me it was a demo product used at the store (my receipt said it was a new item). I asked them to send me what I paid for but was told that they didn't have the guitar in stock anymore and that they were not expecting to receive that guitar anytime soon. Inside the case, I found a receipt from someone who bought the guitar last month (I bet you they returned it for the same reason). The same guitar is out of stock on their website, but you can reserve it (because they expect to receive it soon). I want what I purchased. It's unfortunate that I've purchased many products from companies such as Sweetwater, Woodwind & Brasswind, and Music and Arts and have never had an issue in the past. I never had a complaint in the past, but it is not fair, especially when you are paying so much money for something. Not even items purchased from eBay were in that condition.

      Purchased an MXL Revelation II microphone from the MusiciansFriend store via Ebay. It was described as "mint" and "virtually new". The item was damaged, nonfunctional due to a broken potentiometer. Item also smelled of smoke and had scratches, marks, etc. Do not do business with them.

      I have purchased tens of thousands of dollars at Musiciansfriend over the years. But never again. Recent order. I ordered over $2000 in equipment including a $1200 mixer.. Website indicated that the mixer was in stock and ready to ship. A day later all items except the mixer indicated "shipped." After a few days, I contacted MF. After 15 minutes of communication, the rep, Daniel, reported that the mixer was on back-order and would not be shipped until it was received. If I would not have called, they would have not informed me. Daniel reported that they don't send out notices of backordered items. I canceled the order for the mixer. One of the other items that I purchased was a cranking sub pole for over $100. The item description indicated that it was a level 1 open box. Level 1 is supposed to be "mint" condition. I opened the box immediately upon receipt, and observed that the item was obviously not in mint condition. Even worse, it was broken. The crank would not work. I called MF and the rep reported that finding good staff is difficult and they don't always inspect the items. Someone obvious broke the crank and returned it. MF sold it to me. Now I have to spend time and money returning the product and wait to get my money back.

      Purchased an item on back order, waited five months and finally reached out to customer service, only to be informed my order had been cancelled. As they claim, they waited to charge my card until it was available to ship, so my card was declined and they automatically cancelled the order. They also claim emails were sent but I never received them, despite confirming my email address was correct. I won't be taking my business to them anymore.
