I signed up with this company right before Covid to help with my tax issue of owing the IRS. The bottom line is that for the money I paid which was around $4k was for this tax issue to be resolved. The issue was no resolved. As, the years when on with Covid and I completed my monthly payments things were decent for a while and communication was good. This past year we were okay earlier in the year and then communication slowed with responses. I did make one final contact in July, but by then it may have been too late, I started getting advertisements for tax attorneys and realized I had a lien of over $50k placed on my home. I did find a new attorney but it cost me once again an additional $4k. They informed me that the old company had removed themselves as power of attorney, basically dropping me as a client. I don’t want to debate with them because that is what they did when I posted a review on Google. Instead of admitting the ball was dropped or that my issue wasn’t resolved it was basically a breakdown of what they say happened and then just mentioning that I had last contact in July and had informed them of a medical issue. That is irrelevant to what was promised, I paid for a service I did not receive and it’s unacceptable and on the review i mentioned I wanted my full refund back and no one mentioned it or contacted me on sending it. Fortunately, being a member of USAA bank they refunded a partial amount through a dispute because they tend to go above and beyond for service members and families and although it was two years they gave me back almost $1k. Now I need South Coast to do the right thing, refund money regardless of how it happened or why, at the end of the day I still owe the money and had to retain new services. I don’t want anything further except my refund and if this doesn’t help I will escalate with the BBB assistance to resolve.South Coast Tax Resolution

Ms. T*******,
You retained our services in 2020 at the same time the IRS shutdown from COVID, during this time we have protected you from collection action and when the time permitted, we submitted the offer in compromise. Per the IRS' offer examiner, she stated "I apologize for taking a long time on my end" and finally came back with a minimal increased offer, which was still an amazing offer of $6K+/- on her $50K+ in taxes owed!! The offer examiner then responded again stating that you were not current with your estimated tax payments and this needed to be current or the offer would be closed for non-compliance WITHOUT appeal rights. This information was conveyed to you back in April 2023. The last communication we have from you is a response dated 7/7/2023, where you stated that your health issues and I responded extremely sympathetic to your situation, letting you know that I would try to reach out to the offer examiner to re-open the the offer after it was closed on your end for non-compliance. Once again, we achieved a GREAT offer with the IRS on your total liabilities owed and even after the offer was closed out for reasons outside of South Coast Tax, we were still willing to continue the process until a new offer was accepted.
Unfortunately, the new company you are working with is not experienced enough to know that anytime a "new" power of attorney form 2848 is submitted, it will supersede the previous power of attorney, thus removing us from the CAF unit, WE NEVER REVOKED OUR POWER OF ATTORNEY FORM WITH THE IRS, it was removed by YOU. As previously stated, we are more than happy to continue with the process to get the offer accepted for a 2nd time as long as you are able to remain compliant with your estimated tax payments, although this seems to be a moot point right now. South Coast Tax achieved an amazing accepted offer on your behalf, but your non-compliance and lack of communication with us prevented the offer from being completed.
I am a bit disheartened in that it is becoming normal for individuals to point blame without accepting any accountability on their end for their actions. Not only was the work completed by us, but is was completed with amazing results! Unfortunately, it was not followed through on Ms. Thompson's end. We are a strong Faith based company with strong ethical and moral beliefs, but also believe that it is not right for an individual to demand a refund while not holding up their side of the contract.

We have been working with them for 2 years + . We keep getting the same message” we are working on it”, with NO resolve. They took our money ( that we could not afford to pay them but with their so called Christian based business, my husband fell for that sales pitch, and now our bank acct has a hold on it, which they said would be resolved by the end of the week. It has been four weeks. We cannot pay our bills, buy food, make house payment . They garnished wages too. We call the company everyday several times a day and email them but get no response. We are desperate to get this tax situation resolved . This company is a rip off. My husband has finally realized this. We need to let everyone know to NOT hire this company for any tax resolutions . It is a shame they use the word Christian in their advertisement . They certainly do not hold up to that standard or they would have helped us long time ago. We may loose our home thanks to them . There is a lien on it so we cannot borrow money on it to pay the IRS or sell it to get money to pay IRS. I hope everyone knows to never use this company. Thank you and I look for your help. This message is very disheartening, yes it is true that the Rowe's have been with us for 2 years and as much as I am a huge proponent of being accountable for actions and would be the first to express this on our side, this was not the case in this situation. The Rowes came to us to prepare the 2014-2019 tax returns on 8/24/2020 and we completed and sent the returns to the client within 2 weeks with detailed filing instructions. We explained to the client that it is imperative that the returns be mailed out ASAP because it is not possible to move forward with resolution until the tax returns post in the system, I thought this was understood by the clients, unfortunately it was not and this delayed the case. The offer in compromise that was sent to the IRS was sent back for "filing non-compliance" and we were told by the IRS that the client was missing 2012 through 2015 as well, so being the strong Christian faith based company we are, we prepared and filed these returns FREE OF CHARGE!! Once the returns were ALL filed, we then prepared and sent out a 2nd offer in compromise at not additional charge. The 2nd offer was sent back because the 2015 tax return was not filed with the IRS, apparenlty the Rowe's did not send this return in and it resulted in the 2nd offer being closed out. We expressed to them the importance of sending the 2015 return out and proceeded to prepare and file a 3rd offer in compromise to settle the tax debt with the IRS. At this point, a Revenue Officer was now assigned and because of the unnecessary delays caused by the Rowe's, we now had to work with the Revenue Officer, which inherently adds another layer of difficulty to the case. The Revenue officer was very aggressive and issued levies, which were ALL RELEASED by us!! I understand that the process can be frustrating and frightening at times, but it makes it much more difficult when the client does not comply with what we request of them to do, we are only capable of achieving so much without the help of our clients, as a team! I have reached out to Mr. Rowe after receiving this negative review and still told him that I would like to resolve the issues for them because the most important thing here is to help them get through the troubles, but they did not want to move forward and I explained to them the risks of dealing with the Revenue Officer directly and they did not respond to my emails.Review fromDee P

Our tax issues were daunting, debilitating and devastating. We had tried working with other firms over the years, but they lacked everything South Coast Tax Resolution stands for and delivers. R*** and his team of professionals gave us personal attention and treated us with kindness and respect, so we felt like family from the start. On the very first phone call they put our fears to rest and gave us the confidence that we needed to believe our situation wasn't too far gone. They cared about every detail and us as human beings and their consultation was fueled by integrity, honesty, expertise and hard work. Their deep-rooted desire to help restore lives is what sets them apart from the rest. We were thrilled when they settled our debt with the IRS for .06 cents on the dollar! We didn't know how to get our lives back, but South Coast Tax rolled up their sleeves and navigated the waters for us. We are forever grateful for the high level of care and guidance they gave us each and every step of the way. If you have tax issues, we understand how scary it is, but the only way to deal with them and see incredible results is working with Ryan and his amazing team at South Coast Tax!South Coast Tax Resolution

Good morning D**, Thank you very much for the extremely kind words!! It has been an absolute pleasure working with you and your husband in getting all of this behind you for good! As we both know, your situation was a bit complicated and I want to thank you and H for helping us in getting us exactly what we need and in a timely manner to get the offer accepted! I was equally excited for you and your family when the offer was accepted to allow you to start fresh and put this all behind you!! Our Lord led you to us and gave us the strength and abilities to achieve the goals that we set forth and told you we would be able to accomplish!! I look forward to maintaining our friendship and relationship moving forward! Take care and God Bless you and your family! R***
