Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/22) */ This office has twice sent the consumer verification of debt. The first verification of debt was sent on December 15, 2021, to the address he identifies in the subject complaint. The verification was not returned undeliverable. Said verification was 108 pages, containing the bill of sale, credit card terms and multiple credit card statements. The credit card statements are all addressed to the consumer at the address he identifies in this complaint. As a result of the subject complaint, on April 20, 2022, our office again sent the verification of debt to the consumer. To date, it has not been returned as undeliverable. Further, one of our handling attorneys has attempted to contact the consumer over a half dozen times since January of this year. An attorney also appeared for the court mandated pre-trial conference with the consumer. A second court conference is scheduled for next month to continue dialog. Lastly, with regard to the consumer's desire to have his credit report adjusted, please note that this office does not perform credit reporting. Should the consumer wish to discuss the matter further, he may contact our office at ************. Thank you.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/01) */ The consumer applied for a consumer loan on or about June 8, 2018. She ceased making payments on April 23, 2019, and the loan became delinquent. This company has horrible business practices. Lie when asking if person previously helping me was available. Refuse to provide emailed receipts and refuse to take any payments besides electronic check. An employee laughed at me when i stated i didn't have the total funds available. Supervisors never returned my emails. i had to call them over 15x to pay my debt - which they still have not withdrawn. I feel like they should pay me for all the work i've been trying to do to get THEM paid. horrible

      03/25/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/11) */ The consumer spoke to supervisors on multiple occasions, two of which being February 2nd and February 17th. The consumer's calls have been reviewed. The calls were handled professionally and each time the consumer's concerns were addressed. Unfortunately, because the consumer requested a do not call on her account, we could not contact her. The do not call did prevent us from advising her of an issue with her banking institution. Once the consumer was aware of the issue, she resolved the bank issue and the account was settled. The consumer was provided a settled in full letter on March 9, 2022. Also, a Satisfaction of Judgment has been prepared for filing with the court. Thank you.

In early 2021 I was served lawsuit paperwork file by Mandarich Law Group regarding an old credit card debt. I immediately called MLG and worked out a payment plan. The agreement was I would pay a total of $744.48 in $75 payments. As I'm nearing having the balance paid off I got a little behind, and 9 days after my most recent payment was due I received a call. During the course of this call I was informed that my balance was increased by $259 for legal fees. After 45 minutes on the phone across two representatives, I was informed that these were fees that I agreed to in the beginning and that said fees wouldn't have been reflected in the balances due on my payment receipts. This seems a little shady to me, and possibly illegal. At the very least, it is extremely unethical.

      Business response

      01/18/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/08) */ In February 2021, the consumer entered into a repayment plan for his outstanding debt. He signed a settlement agreement and stipulation on February 16, 2021 and returned it to our office. Paragraph 2 of the agreement states that the consumer agrees to pay the outstanding balance plus costs and sets forth the payment plan terms. Should the consumer need a copy of the signed agreement for his records, please let us know and we will be happy to send same. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/12/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The balance magically jumped from one month to the next, as evidenced by the attached payment receipts. This additional money MAY have been part of the original agreement, but has never shown up on the payment portal, nor on any receipts. Their failure to include that amount in the total from the beginning of this agreement is the problem here. It's shady to do business like this and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to tack on fees after almost a year of payments. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/12/20) */ The costs are proper as they were incurred for the filing of the complaint with court and the service of same on the consumer. The consumer acknowledges the filing and that he was served with same. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2021/12/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Again, I have receipts dating back to February 2021, each receipt showing a balance that was lower than the previous. The receipts I submitted show an increase, not a decrease after payment. Either I owed that additional money all along and they didn't reflect it in my receipts or they tacked it on recently. Either way, it is unethical and unacceptable. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2021/12/30) */ The costs accrued and were applied upon the invoices being received, reviewed for accuracy and applied to the account. As previously noted, the consumer signed a stipulation agreement and has been paying in accordance with same. We look forward to the consumer's successful completion of the payment agreement and the subsequent closure of the file. Thank you.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/16) */ Defendant does not understand that she needs to have her debt settlement company/attorney reach out to us and provide a power of attorney and have her debt settlement company speak to our attorneys or representatives regarding settlement. It is not our job to contact these parties as we do not have permission. Defendant needs to get third party to provide authorization and negotiate on her behalf if they are suppose too.

I apparently was served paper work at my old address months back , MLG didn't bother to call me and let me know about a wage garnishment So I called when I received a wage garnishment EMAIL at my job ! They stated it was an over ******amount for an $800 debt that was owed they started taking the garnishment that same week out of my pay check ,my agent is ******* ***** . They only give a 5% discount off the debt which is ridiculous I ended up having to pay half the amount of $***** and they said it takes ten days after that half payment was made to stop the wage garnishment. It's been over a month and they continue to take the wages out of my direct deposit I call weekly to see if they sent an email to Adp and he said they did back on 10/11/21 I called the following day and nothing was done I called again on & same thing nothing was stopped . I called 11/8/21 to see if they ever sent the stop form to my HR ADP & they said they did ! I called 11/9/21 ******* told me they sent another form out to stop garnishments, I called again 11/10/21 only to be told they actually never sent any stop forms ! I spoke to ***** there at MLG just to be told that the never did send any form and they did FINALLY send one on 11/8/21 when I called so someone there is lying to me. This business is ridiculous and have liars working there. I can't afford to have over 200$ out of my check plus pay then that half down I paid in October. This company is just out to get more money out of Ppl when they could get a lower payment amount when the original debt was $800.

This office does not have control over the Sheriff or consumer's employer actions, however, please allow this to confirm that the office has terminated the garnishment. I want proof that i owe this debt to this Law Group and I also want them after submitting proof to accept a settlement amount for $150.00 I'm currently working part time and can't afford to pay $960.18 that they are claiming i owed them. I also have other debts and obligations and my salary doesn't allow me to pay for everything at once. I'm a single parent the pandemic left me with no job and almost homeless. All debt collectors are suing me for payment so since i know they purchase these debts for pennies of the dollar I'm asking for proofs of the original debt collector and I also want them to accept $150 settlement for the debt after they proof that the money is owe to them. I've never received no phone calls from this Law firm.
