      Recently purchased a Sonsio warranty. It is quite an expensive warranty, but we purchased it because it seemed comprehensive and we wanted the BEST coverage for our beloved new vehicle. However, due to circumstances outside of our control, we ended up with scratches alongside the vehicle which included paint gouging. Sonsio claims that they will only fix dents that do NOT involve paint. Who has ever heard of an object hitting a vehicle hard enough to dent, without causing damage to paint??? This only happens in fantasy land! In conclusion, we are paying for a warranty service that is unwilling to help in any way. When I called to report the damage, the representative over the phone showed no concern or empathy for the situation... he was unwilling to assist in any way. My advice would be to NEVER buy this warranty, as it is nothing but a rotten scam!

      On April 5th,2024, ***************************** purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD from Reedman *************** (ATLU), **. During the purchase of the vehicle, they sold a plan in which we administer, SVP Appearance Advantage Key, Windshield & Dent Reedman NOCAP SII.

      July 19th,2024, ******* called in to our customer care center to file a report of damages on the 2024 Silverado.
      She Indicated on the call that there was a dent with paint damage located on or near the tailgate of the vehicle. Our CSR advised paint damage is not repairable though the *** process. Instead, the repairs will require a body shop as the affected area will need to be painted. See below for coverage, limitations, and exclusion section of the customer contract:

      Appearance Advantage Key, Windshield & Dent Reedman NOCAP SII Coverage:
      Paintless Dent Repair (***): provides coverage for unlimited removal of certain dents and creases from the Covered Vehicle using Dent Wizards *** repair process.  Each *** repair covers the removal of any dents and creases that do not exceed 3.25 x 2 (approximately the size of a traditional credit card)within an area located on a single panel of the Covered Vehicle.

      Appearance Advantage Key, Windshield & Dent Reedman NOCAP SII Limitations:
      E. Paintless Dent Repairs: 1. *** is limited to steel or aluminum body panels. 2. *** repairs are subject to accessibility (e.g., an area within 3/4 of a door edge is not accessible). *** is limited to the cost of reconditioning, rather than replacement. 4. *** repairs will only be provided if the repair can be made using the Dent Wizard *** process. 5. The Administrator shall have sole discretion in determining if a repair can be made. All *** repairs must be completed by a representative authorized by the Administrator.

      Appearance Advantage Key, Windshield & Dent Reedman NOCAP SII Exclusions:
      D. PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR DOES NOT PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR THE FOLLOWING: (1) ANY DENTS OR CREASES THAT HAVE PUNCTURED THE ***** OR RESULTED IN VISIBLE PAINT DAMAGE; (2) REPAIRS TO ANY AREA OF THE COVERED VEHICLE THAT IS NOT A STEEL OR ALUMINUM BODY PANEL (E.G., BUMPERS); (3) THE REPLACEMENT OF ANY PARTS; (4) ANY DAMAGE THAT REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF BODY PANELS, OR SANDING,BONDING, OR PAINTING; (5) HAIL OR ACORN DAMAGE OR ANY OTHER PERIL COVERED UNDER YOUR COMPREHENSIVE AUTO INSURANCE POLICY.


      Result
      We informed ***************************** on July 19th that the damage was not covered. We explained that being paint loss, it cannot be repaired using the paintless dent removal technique. Instead, the repairs require a body shop as the affected area will need to be painted.

      We understand ******** frustration and disappointment regarding the denial of the claim,particularly given that this was her first claim with us. As a gesture of goodwill, we are willing to set up an in person visual inspection to assess the damage further.

      The representative was courteous and prompt in his response. He took my information and called me back within 10 minutes and scheduled a satisfactory appointment within 2 days. He called back to see if the work was completed. I was completely satisfied.

      I bought the road hazard warranty with simple tire. two weeks of having the tires on my truck, I had a object slice my tire on the side of the tire on the freeway. I took photos as required buy the claims rep. I also bought a new tire from another company in the mean time to get my truck back on the road. I am asking for a new tire to replace the damaged new tire. The warranty rep. ****************************** will not honor me a new tire until I come up with the receipt of the tire witch I purchased from the other company. I told ****** I would like a new tire not a reimbursement for the tire I purchased from the other company. She told me she can not do any thing with out the receipt of the tire I purchased. Why is that ? regardless of my purchased with the other company, Sonsio should honor the warranty I purchased with them and send me a new tire. I don't understand why I have jump through hoops to get what I paid for, A warranty for all four tires.

      We have advised the customer that we are willing to work with them on the claim and that it is eligible for coverage given what information has been verified from the provided pictures but with the customer being in the second ******** period of coverage we are not able to send them a new tire. That option is only available to customers in the first 12-month period where the reimbursement amount is not prorated. The customer was advised that we are able to reimburse them the eligible prorated amount after they have purchased their replacement tire, as per the Terms & Conditions of the Program.

      I leased a new Audi 3 months ago and purchased tire insurance protection. In January I got two flat tires simultaneously from hitting a pothole in **************. The car was towed to a local garage and I paid $1,000 to replace the tires. I took pictures of the damaged tires as best I could but clearly not sufficient for Sonsio who nickled and dimed me based on their stringent requirements for damaged tire photos. It is not practical for me to hold on to the damaged tires until I get their pristine photos. I was told by the dealer that they would take care of everything including paying the garage. They certainly did not and I have now wasted time and money chasing reimbursement. I submitted the paid invoice. Did they really think I was trying to scam them by paying a service station $1,000 for new tires on a car three months old? Don't buy their "protection"

      At this time, the claims you initiated on 2/1/2024 are still open and pending in our system. Based on our records, the representative you spoke to went over what is needed for the claims and sent you an email containing that information and what your options are for having the information verified. The photos that you provided thus far only show one tire and they dont allow for us to confirm required information as specified within the terms and conditions of the Contract, such as road hazard damage and tread depth measurement. We will have someone reach out to you to discuss this with you further, hopefully we are able to work together (with you and/or the garage) to get the verification we need to finalize the claims.

      bought a "ding" plan when I purchased my new car. When I had pebble/stone thrown by truck that chipped my windshield, Safelight was dispatched to my home for repair.

      Sonsio customer support agent was very helpful from the get go. He pointed me to the closest windshield repair shop and handled my claim rather quick. The only problem I encountered was that Safelite would not repair the crack on my windshield because it was larger that a quarter; they wanted to replace the whole windshield. I didn't want to replace the whole windshield when the crack had happened on the passenger side bottom right corner, so I ended up fixing the crack myself with a repair kit.Sonsio did very good, but Safelite did not.

      They denied my claims that occurred within the warranty period. I will never use them again.

      We reached out to the customer, ****, and gave her an additional day (above and beyond the initial period) to submit the required invoices. We did not receive any information from the customer, so the claim is still denied. We require documentation of proof in order to approve claims, as per the ****************** outlined in our programs. If these terms are not met, we cannot approve the claim.

      Sonsio's comment refers to a second claim for $20, which is a waste of my time to file. My BBB complaint is referring to the first tire that warranted replacement according to ******* which Sonsio denied to even allow me to file a claim.

      After further review, the customer had a tire repaired on 8/26/2022 at an out-of-network facility. The customer then took the vehicle to the ****** dealership for a tire rotation, which is when the ****** dealer found the repair was done in the shoulder of the tire (an improper repair). The customer then tried to file a claim for the replacement of that tire. She was informed that we would not be able to cover the replacement of the tire since it was being replaced due to an improper repair.

      First of all, if a shoulder repair isn't the industry standard, how am I to know that as a person who doesn't work in the industry? Secondly, if the location of that road hazard warranted a replacement tire instead of a repair, shouldn't we be replacing that tire under my Sonsio warranty? A Sonsio representative told me I could take the vehicle to an out-of-network facility because I was out of state and the local dealership could not see me for three days. As this was my only vehicle, which was used daily for highway driving, I was obligated to handle the situation quickly for safety reasons. I took the car to a reputable establishment that has been in business for forty-three years. As best I can tell, I did my part to comply with Sonsio's requirements. To circle back to my second point, your comment states you won't cover the replacement of the tire since it's being replaced due to an improper repair. That's not true. It should be replaced because there was a s**** in the shoulder, which happened during the warranty period.

      i bought a "ding" plan when I purchased my new car. When I had pebble/stone thrown by truck that chipped my windshield, Safelight was dispatched to my home for repair. 2018 Car is 4 yrs old and while still under warranty of plan, has accumulated SEVERAL dings. I called number on plan card, was immediately helped by ********** He set up appointment for me to have fixed at dealership. Dropped off, given time frame of completion. Picked up at designated time. Whomever was the local repair agent did a FANTASTIC job. Took "before" pictures to compared with completed work. Can't find the dings. Oct. 2022 The whole process from ********** to completed work was hassle free. Would highly recommend service, since everyday mishaps occur on our vehicles.
