I recommend you find some other firm to do your taxes and/or payroll processing. I have had a very difficult and expensive experience with them. I found their competence, professionalism and ethics to be questionable. I contacted them in early December to do my payroll and my corporate and personal taxes. I prepaid $2,155 for those services. On 1/12/24 I emailed ********************** who is the owner of the company and told her that due to the lack of communication, knowledge and professional oversight I was not going to have them do my tax returns. On 1/29/24 after nearly two months, 4 incorrect payroll reports and W-2s, an appointment was made to discuss the issues. When I didnt hear from them at the appointed time I phoned Phases and found that they had apparently forgotten about the call or. chosen not to take it. When I finally did get the owner ********************** on the phone she said she only had 15 minutes because she had another call to take. I felt like I was imposing on her time. The call became contentious and she hung up the phone on my financial advisor and me. Following this, I reiterated in an email that I would not be having Phases do my taxes and since there had been no tax preparation done I asked for a refund of the $1,655 I had pre-paid for those services. I asked for the refund again on 2/3 and 2/6. I received a call back from the billing department saying I was not going to receive a full refund as I had additional charges of $1,100 for conference calls and emails. I had never at any time been told I was incurring additional charges beyond the $500 I paid. I then asked 3 times for an itemization of the charges as I only showed 110 minutes and there had been no in-person meetings. I received an invoice showing I was being billed an additional 4 hours (240 mins) for several emails, phone calls and meetings No itemization. They did however submit a form to the *** w/o my knowledge or approval which gives a different income than the W/2 they submitted.

Do not use this company! There new name is Apex Accounting. I have been a client for over a decade. The original owner sold this business in 2023. I have had 2 technicians leave the company before completing my taxes. I dropped my business taxes off 22 Jan 2024 they are due in 4 days and still not even in draft stage. They promised to get me a draft by end of day 15 Feb for another CPA firm that is doing tax related work for me, this has not happened. They do not return my phone calls or answer my e-mail. I anticipate I will be paying penalties and interest.

Phases was a terrible tax accounting firm with numerous unhappy people. It was acquired by Apex Accounting and they are just as terrible. During my time dealing with Apex, the owner of the company made promise after promise which they did not keep, plus took money for services they did not complete on behalf of my company. I repeatedly asked for documents they supposedly filed on behalf of my company for fourth quarter 2023 and they would not provide them. I also found out they didn't file my third quarter State Unemployment report as they were required to do.

Never go here or trust these people with any of your paperwork. I started going here a few years ago because H&R Block messed up my taxes one year. Everything had been great the first 2 years with Phases. The last 2 years, especially this year, have been terrible. I dropped my taxes off to ****** and she informed me it was different this year, you are no longer able to sit down and discuss your taxes. They review and file and send you an invoice. She informed me it would take about a week. Week one passed, I called, still not filed. Week 2 passed, called, still nothing. Week three is here and I call and tell them I am just going to pick up my stuff and go somewhere else. Well, I couldnt even do that because THEY LOST MY PAPERWORK. They cannot find my W2s, 1098, anything I provided to them in a folder at their front desk. Hoping that my information didnt end up in the wrong hands. Will never be using them again. Do not trust them with any of your information.
