I brought my cat to powers pet emergency for assessment and treatment of swelling and abrasions around his eyes. I paid for an in depth exam in which the area was shaved, revealing the full extent of his wounds. When they brought him out to me, he had a large, open wound on the right side of his face that was bleeding. The vet told me my cat did not have conjunctivitis of the eye and that this was likely a viral plaque. She prescribed an antibiotic ointment and released my cat without a cone, which he clearly needed. When I saw my vet 2 days later, I learned that powers had no record of my visit, and that the medication they prescribed was indended for conjunctivitis of the eye and would not effectively treat my cat who needed steroids and systemic antibiotics to properly heal. Further, it turns out that my cat had fleas, and the wounds on his face are likely secondary to a flea allergy. So, I paid powers over 300 dollars for an exam that missed the obvious (fleas) and a medication that is completely useless. My cat was released without a cone and without the medication he actually needed to begin healing. To top things off, they somehow managed to lose the records and were unable to provide them to my vet. I would like a full refund as I clearly did not get what I paid for.

This is the absolute worst veterinary hospital I have ever been to. In fact Ive never written a review on a place but this experience takes the cake and needs attention. We have had a couple poor experiences here but when my dog got a really bad cut on his foot(to the point the blood looked like a murder seen.) I had to go to the closest place and thought Anyone could do a couple stitches. I figured Id give it one more chance. I arrived they put me in a room where I sat for 2 hours with no supplies to stop the bleeding I had to use paper towels while I sat on the floor with my poor sad dog, both of us covered in blood. The doctor finally came in and wouldnt say a word to me or my dog, the vet tech did all the talking for her. They took my dog back for a few minutes and informed me that to stitch his foot it would be 1000-1500 dollars! My dog was terrified and in pain so he growled and instead of positive affirmations and treats we were greeted with a muzzle. Zero effort by the staff to make it a better experience. Now not only do I still have to figure out the best route for my dogs injuries I now have to deal with the fear and trauma they have caused my dog. I informed the vet tech of my concerns and upset and she relayed them to the doctor who even then wouldnt say a word. I literally was never even told her name but she was totally fine chatting with her coworkers on the other side of the door. Too bad the vet tech couldnt have been the doctor because that place could use the compassion she had. Edit: I should add when we arrived there was nobody there; we were never given any paperwork for the visit. They put a bandage on him and I could actually here him screaming ( he has never ever cried like this) when all they did was wrap his foot. This photo was before it broke open again and continued bleeding
