    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against SWFT Towing in ****************, **, for illegal and unauthorized towing of my vehicle on December 8, 2024, and for attempting to charge me $590 for a service I clearly canceled.On December 8, 2024, at approximately 6:45 PM, I contacted several towing companies after my car suffered a flat tire and a dented wheel. I initially reached out to SWFT Towing for a quote, but the call was disconnected before we finalized any agreement. I later secured service with another towing company, Pinkies Towing, which offered a better rate. Despite this, SWFT Towings driver later called me asking for my vehicles location. I clearly told him that I no longer needed their services as I had already booked with another company. To ensure no confusion, I also called SWFT Towings main office and repeated that their services were canceled unless they could match the lower rate. The office representative was dismissive and hung up on me.Despite my repeated cancellations, SWFT Towing proceeded to tow my vehicle without my consent and impounded it. They are now demanding that I pay $345 in towing and storage fees to get my car back.Specific Complaints:- Unauthorized Towing: My vehicle was towed without my permission, violating Colorados Towing Bill of Rights.- Failure to Honor Cancellation: I clearly canceled the service with both the driver and office staff.-Predatory and Deceptive Practices: Towing my vehicle after being explicitly told not to and charging excessive fees is unethical and unlawful.-Lack of Communication and Accountability: Their customer service was dismissive and unresponsive.Resolution Requested:Immediate release of my vehicle without any charges.Investigation into SWFT Towing for illegal towing and deceptive business practices.Reimbursement of any costs if I am forced to pay the $345 fee.

    since Dec 8th Number one the same person you spoke to on Dec 8th is the
    same person that had handed all your FAKE complaints, including CSPD,
    which they told us you all over the place and didn't believe a word you
    told them Number 1 not one did you call after you gave us the address
    for you pick up what you did is when the driver got to you 20miles way
    you tried to renegotiate the rate ( YOU NEVER CANCELED AND REFUSE TO PAY
    THE *** In faked we still did not charge you the ****** state of
    Colorado Rul s 5-2-212,crs tells us to charge, we give you a ******
    discount on the bill

    I rented a **** Edge vehicle from *****, the car was blue and had Montana plates. I was staying at the *************. On 13 September when I went get in the car to go to **********, which I had paid ***** for 2 tickets and entry pass, the vehicle was gone. The Residence Inn checked their camera and it showed a black truck with no markings had towed the vehicle on 12 September. I filed a police report for a stolen vehicle. The Police had no record for a legitimate tow. The Residence in took me to ************************ so I could talk to Alamo and give them all the information about the vehicle. While I was there I got a call that SWFT towing was supposed to tow a different car had towed my rental vehicle in error. They had received a call to tow a silver **** Edge with New Mexico plates because it would not start. the driver towed a blue **** Edge with Montana plates. I had to take a taxi back to the hotel which cost me $45.00. When the tow truck driver returned the car at approximately 2pm on the 13th I tried to talk to the driver but he only spoke Spanish. Im not sure who he called to interpret but when I asked about compensation for their mistake, she said that I would have to talk to SWFT towing. I called **** and was told that the driver was responsible not SWFT and hung up on me. In total I am out $45 for the taxi, $32 for Pikes Peak tickets and $67.59 for one days car rental while they had the car. I have receipts for all.

    all swft drivers are Contractors like we told you can can have the driver take care of it but you got very Rude on the phone and call was ended  Not sure what you want SWFT to do for you its called a MISTAKE witch was corrected in 1hr not a day sorry this happen to you but we tow Lots or rentals for Rental comp i know every one hate tow compy until you need one

    If I could give them 0 stars I would !Let me give you the full scope. My alternator went out near a gas station so I needed a tow. I did not want to call this specific company because they have messed up at my job towing for an older lady when she accidentally hit a wall and needed a tow. They gave her h*** trying to get her car back when she was leaving our medical clinic. I am not even from ******** and I heard how bad this company was through my coworkers.That being said, the gas station called the tow company on my behalf because I had to leave it over night to get the tow to get it the next day. They came and took my car to the nearest repair shop and charged my card $100.00. Then proceeded to call me at midnight saying I did not make my payment and they are going to get my car in the middle of the night from the repair shop. I offered to show them the receipt showing I paid and they refused. BEWARE OF USING THIS TOW COMPANY UPDATE: So I posted this review the same night everything happened but my girlfriend made me take it down because the tow company called her phone and threaten to come steal our car and tow it away if we did not remove our post. We had to involve the authorities and they stated that we are free to post on this review and if they were to come and take our car after we have paid then they would be prosecuted for theft. PLEASE I CAUTION YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY. I have also submitted a report to the *** per the local authorities as well. They use predatory practices on their clients.

    This complaint is 100% fake. We got a call from a gas station manager for us to the vehicle when my driver got there to pick up the vehicle and take it to the impound for being abandoned at a gas station. Gentlemen showed up and came to an agreement with swft towing That instead of impounding his vehicle, we were told the vehicle to his house at a very deep discounted rate of $100 Instead of almost $375 in fees he was supposed to pay the to when Driver got to his house told Driver he will call him with a credit card and never did. He was called at 9:30 at night after we tried to get payment and he stated the payment was already done. We asked him various times to send us proof of payment, he said he had a receipt we asked him for the receipt. No receipt was produced after an hour back-and-forth with a card and paid the $100 which is way under what we normally charge so no refund will be offered at any point anytime we have also filed with the *** for theft service .

    On Oct 10, 2022 around 11 p.m. I needed a tow truck for my vehicle as it was in an accident. I did a search of tow companies in ****************. Several companies were not open. I finally got a hold of SWFT Towing Company. I explained my need for a tow truck to the gentleman that answered the phone and asked him how much the tow would cost. He advised me that the tow would be (I can't remember exactly the figure he quoted me) either $250 or $275. Regardless it was under $300. He said they would take the vehicle to their lot where I could deal with the insurance company to release the car or have the car looked at by an adjuster. About three days later I talked to SWFT Towing and they informed me that the current charge for my vehicle was $1200! I asked for a breakdown of the costs and in my eyes the only legitimate additional charge was the $50/day storage fee. The most outrageous additional fee that he noted was a $400 administrative fee. I inquired what that fee covered and he told me that they have to make notifications that they have a vehicle once it is in their yard for more than a couple of days. I do not know what is involved with the notifications but I can only assume that it is either a phone call or an entry into a database. Regardless, all of these fees seem to be out of line and way too expensive and unfortunately the insurance companies are paying for these fees on a daily basis. Please look in to what this company is charging and if there is anything you or I can do about this.Thanks!*********************

    Number one the vehicle has been in our storage for two weeks now number two you did not pay us a dime number three there is no refund on something you have not paid BBB is a waste of time and peoples time and nothing more
