  This company charged me $225 just to apply, would not provide accurate or up to date photos, would not allow a tour, and then when i did not feel comfortable signing a lease refused to refund any of the fee they charged me. The representative on the phone gave me, corporate-speak no good answers and was completely unhelpful. Do not recommend working with them, thank goodness I found out before signing a lease how bad they are to work with.

  We're very sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, because we took over management of the building and unit while it was already occupied, we did not have access to photos or the ability to provide a tour at the time of your application. As soon as you let us know you werent comfortable moving forward without seeing the unit, we canceled your application. However, per our policywhich is consistent with industry standardsapplication fees are only fully refundable within 24 hours of applying.
  While we completely understand your hesitation, renting sight unseen is a common practice in the industry, especially in competitive markets. We were committed to being transparent and responsive throughout the process, and we're truly sorry to hear that it left you with a negative impression.   I told cornerstone apartment agent **** that I wanted to move from a studio to a one-bedroom and he said the fee would be one month's rent if I move within the same building. And then told him I would be moving to one of their other properties and ask if it would still be the same fee. He conveniently misunderstood my question yet again so I asked him AGAIN! He replied to me that I still would be breaking the lease so I'm thinking the fee is still the same whether I stay in the building or I go to another building.Now they're requesting that I pay two times the rent which is $2,490 and sent me an email stating that if I don't pay it by tonight they will send my case to their attorneys.

  I have lived in my apartment for 5 years and not once did I have to pay utilities. Now we switched over to Cornerstone and my rent went up $200 and now I am paying almost $100 in utilities. I have never had to pay for utilities. It's complete c*** that we get a new company and everything goes to c*** We have gone through 3 landlord in 6 months, the apartment halls smell like cat ****, and the property looks like a mess. There is no order and for the apartment. I was told I am paying $963 but its actually over $1000. I'm barely making enough as is.
