I am writing to formally address several violations and issues related to your attempts to collect an alleged debt from me. Your actions have caused significant emotional distress and financial difficulty.Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant consumer protection laws, I am asserting my rights and demanding that these issues be immediately addressed. First and foremost, I require you to cease all illegal activities associated with this debt collection, including any unauthorized communication and inaccurate reporting on my credit report. Despite my previous requests, you have continued to contact me at inconvenient times, which has disrupted my business operations.Furthermore, I have not received any documentation or agreement proving that I owe this debt, nor have you provided valid verification of its existence.I also demand that you furnish a copy of any agreement or contract that establishes your right to collect on behalf of the original creditor. It appears that your collection efforts are based on unsubstantiated claims, which are not legally valid.As permitted under the ****** I am initiating a demand for arbitration to resolve these disputes. Jefferson Capital Systems - 08/2024 - ************ remains as a collections on all three of my credit reports. I recently received a letter in the mail attempting to collect a debt for this same account from Unifin. When I spoke with the agent this month from Unifin, she advised me that they recently received the account in 07/2024 and would submit a dispute to Sprint to verify debt. However, Jefferson Capital Systems still remains on my report for the same debt and reports monthly of no payment received when they do not have the account. I have requested for the trade line to be deleted.Customer response

Hi, I am filing a complaint against Jefferson Capital because I received mail from them claiming that I owe them a debt. That information is inaccurate due to the fact that I have no paperwork of agreement that I am working with this organization. On July 8, 2024 I made a phone call to Jefferson Capital System at ************ which is the number that is listed on my credit report for Contact.
I believe this debt is not valid because I asked Jefferson Capital System to please provide me by mail with proof of the contract that I signed with them and to verify that this debt is in fact mine. They have yet to respond by mail as requested and I have yet to hear from them. I have never signed anything with this company, nor have I ever spoken to this company besides the time that I have contacted them to request debt verification. I do not owe this company anything that I have never agreed to.
The reference number the debt collector provided me with for the alleged debt that is listed on my credit report is 392246XXXX.
I would like this debt removed. Thank you!

Jefferson Capital Systems has reported erroneous and misleading information to credit reporting agencies under the account number **********. This account does not belong to me, and I am not responsible for this debt. I recently checked my Credit report and noticed a derogatory account reporting from Jefferson Capital System. First and foremost, I do not have any contractual agreement with this company and am not liable or bound to any debt as they allege. Furthermore, this company is listed on my credit report as the original creditor and can't possibly be, this is false, deceptive and misleading in which is a violation of 15 USC 1692e , 15 usc 1692e(10) (See attachment for proof). I also requested verification or copy of judgement of this alleged debt including the contract from the ORIGINAL CREDITOR bearing my signature as required in 15 usc 1692(a)(4) and the company has failed to provide anything.
