I went outside yesterday morning and found a boot with a lock on my car tire. This company has done this several times before. I had a parking pass and was parked in the correct parking location for my residence. I was parked with my one tire on the line of the parking space and the reason that I got booted was "double parking" which was clearly not the case. when I tried to call the company, there was no physical person to talk to. The emails from the company were extremely short and rude. All they wanted was the money, they didn't care when I told them that I was parked perfectly legally, with a parking pass in the correct spot. They claimed that I was being inconsiderate to other residents and that I was parked in two parking spots. being a nurse, I had to pay to get my car unlocked in order to get to work, however, I do want to file a complaint and ask for a refund. I have attached images below of where my car was parked along with the pass, and the total amount that I paid.

Park It Right has participated in the BBB business abusing program for 8 years.  We will no longer participate in this program that rewards violators lies without proof and does not credit our company with 100% proof that is provided on EVERY complaint.  In 8 years only 5 complaints are legitimate and the company was in its very beginning.

BBB is nothing more than a way to reward the very people that did not follow the parking rules of a private property.  Unlike towing our booting leaves the car in place clearly showing the violation.  To ensure our position we take more than 20 pictures to provide proof of our enforcement.

People complain more about our company because we embarrass them by booting their car in place. Unlike a towing company our objective is to reduce violators via visual and punitive enforcement.  The claims we missed the obvious permit, the signs are missing, I was never warned, I was just there for a minute and other false statements by violators are used to deflect responsibility for their own actions.

Regardless of the proof our company provides clearly showing we did not do as the violator states our rating is an F.  The BBB states I can get an A+ if I pay a monthly fee which I am not going to do. We are a parking enforcement company that has 100% proof of every enforcement action.  We will no longer waste our time responding to false statements about our company.

On 3/8/2023 Park It Right booted my vehicle while my wife and I shopped in the Cherry Creek building attached to the parking lot. In order to remotely release the boot, I had to give them my credit card and pay $385.00. Their website specified where I should put their boot upon removal, and promised the return of approximately $120.00 if the equipment was returned undamaged and in the correct location. I complied with this demand but have received no refund. Numerous attempts to reach the company have resulted in automated emails saying I would be contacted within ***** hours. Instead, months have passed with no response. This company appears to be nothing but a shell company with few or no employees. The emails I've received reference a ******************* as the **** but he is unreachable by phone, email, or visits to their address of record. A gentleman at that address told me there is no office there. He said they can receive mail there but "only pick it up about once a year." I have long since given up trying to get justice for what I believe is the wrongful booting of my vehicle, but to subsequently be further cheated out of a refund of the "deposit" promised in writing on their website is truly disgraceful.I sincerely believe this company's actions must be illegal in some fashion. The promise to return a portion of the extorted fee appears to be completely fraudulent. You have a better chance of speaking with President ***** than reaching a human being at Park It Right. I would *** them in small claims court over the principle alone but I have no faith that they would pay even if I won a judgment against them. Finally, I believe legal authorities should investigate them as it is impossible that I am the only person to have had this experience.

On September 9, 2023 at 12:00am, two of my guests' cars were immobilized by Park It Right LLC at the Breakaway Condominiums. Both of my guests have paid to release the boot; however, on Park It Right's confirmation emails, it claims that the code to release the lock would be sent immediate. My guests had to wait an extra 30 minutes to release the boot. They were parked in visitor parking with no "overnight" parking. As a resident, I have read through the entire *** documents and nowhere does it specify what "overnight" parking means. Does it mean 11:00pm? 12:00am? 1:00am to 6:00am? Attached is a screenshot of our *** covenants regarding guest parking. The *** Rules and Regulations are considered a legal document which needs to be very specific especially regarding parking regulations. Until the *** adds to the Rules and Regulations what "overnight" parking means, I expect a refund of $550 due to the lack of specification in the *** documents. I also expect that Park It Right, LLC will respond saying "It is the responsibility of the owner/resident/guest to know and comply with the pre-established parking rules of Breakaway Condominiums," but this is a weak argument considering the pre-established parking rules of Breakaway Condominiums does not specify the timeframe of "overnight" parking.

Date of payment for remote release of boot: Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 7:13pm Amount paid: $385 Business commitment per Linkedin profile overview: "The property parking rules are clearly displayed on the boot return station and throughout the property. We want people to know what the parking rules are, which helps some people avoid parking in violation."Nature of dispute: Guest parked in visitor spot adjacent to Resident's building. Resident's HOA rules do not require permit parking. Visitor spot apparently belongs to a different HOA that uses Park It Right to enforce parking violations. Visitor spot does not have any indication that it belongs to the different HOA/community neither does it have a Park It Right permit parking only sign. The only sign displayed says "Visitor Parking Only". As mentioned earlier, the property parking rules are NOT clearly displayed and there isn't a boot return station. How will people know what the parking rules are if HOA rules of a different community are not made public? Due to the absence of a Park It Right sign, Resident does not know where to return the boot. Resident has reached out to Park It Right multiple times to ensure the boot can be safely returned, however, Park It Right refuses to answer Resident's questions. After 24 hours of the boot being left at the sign in front of the visitor spot, people have been moving the boot around so that it is not visible. This may result in Resident not receiving security deposit back. It has been now 42 hours since the boot was left at the visitor sign, when will it be picked up and is this the correct return location?Park It Right has NOT tried to resolve the problem.Order #****

The vehicle was parked on Central Park Townhomes private property.  There is adequate signage located at every entrance and throughout the property indicating it is monitored. The following has been informed to Cat through her multiple email inquiries.
During a random patrol on 7/25/23, the Subaru Legacy (CO)CIRA99 was observed and documented parked in violation of No Permit and was subsequently immobilized per the pre-established parking rules of Central Park Townhomes which we are contracted to enforce on their private property.

It is the responsibility of the owner/resident/guest to know and comply with the pre-established parking rules of Central Park Townhomes.
All Visiting vehicles are required to display a Visitor Permit which is provided by the resident or the vehicle must be registered for a Free 24-hour virtual permit at parkitrightpermit.com.

We are a professional parking enforcement company that observes the violation without bias.
The vehicle was immobilized correctly and in accordance with the parking rules of Central Park Townhomes.
Everyone is required to follow the same parking rules and process of release.
The violation fine is non-negotiable and will not be refunded.

The deposit refund will be processed per the Terms and  Conditions.

      Complaint: 20385850

I am rejecting this response because:

Park It Right has not answered my question regarding boot return. As of 6:13am, July 28, 2023, the boot is no longer at the sign. Therefore, please confirm if the boot was received by Park It Right and if it was a the proper location.

Please advise what to do if someone else took the boot and/or tampered with it while it was waiting to be picked up for over 48 hours.

Witness: I have spoken to a resident who lives at the Central Park Townhomes and they claim that there used to be a permit parking sign at this particular visitor parking. However, a previous resident took the permit parking sign down out of malintent. And ever since the permit parking sign has been taken down, multiple people have been having this same issue of having their vehicle immobilized. One of the issues is that it is unclear that these visitor parking spots belong to Central Park Townhomes as the only sign displayed just says "Visitor Parking Only". This issue can easily be resolved if the Park It Right permit parking sign is redisplayed at this particular visitor parking, but due to the lack of understanding and action on behalf of Park It Right and Central Park Townhomes, it is evident that the objective is to take advantage of the situation misleading the public and immobilizing as many vehicles as possible in order to increase profit.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: 20385850

I am rejecting this response because:

I would like to know exactly what part of my complaint do you think is a false statement? My main complaint is that there is not a sign that indicates permit parking only nor that it is a part of Central Park Townhomes. I am genuinely asking how would anyone who is NOT a resident/guest of the Central Park Townhomes know the pre-established parking rules when the *** covenants are not made public? Nowhere at the entrance or anywhere near these parking spaces does it state that all visitor parking spaces are permit parking only. Although there are visitor parking spaces elsewhere in the community that do indeed have the permit parking only sign, it does not state that this applies to all visitor parking spaces. As I have mentioned before, these parking spaces are adjacent to townhomes that are part of a different community that actually allows visitor parking without a permit pass. MULTIPLE people have encountered this same issue of not knowing that these parking spaces belong to Central Park Townhomes and that a permit pass is required in order to park there. Again, this issue can EASILY be resolved if the permit parking only sign is reinstalled, yet nothing has been done to rectify the situation. Attached is a picture with today's timestamp of the Visitor Parking Only sign still without the permit parking only sign.

At least here in ********, the law requires tow companies to provide a warning 24 hours before the vehicle can be towed, whereas this restriction does not apply to booting companies and violators are forced to pay the price to release the lock without first being made aware that they cannot park in a certain area. I do not understand why you whining about your poor business rating and accusing victims of false statements when at the end of the day, your company is still making a profit off of simple human mistakes.

      Sincerely,

On 5/31/23 as I returned home from my brothers funeral (2nd loss of a brother since February 2023) and found My Neighbor had received a boot. I let him know and he stated he was working with the company to have it removed. Dealing with depression, I did not leave my home on 06/01/23. On 06/02/23 I went for a walk a noticed a sticker that reads I am a thief and dont like to follow the rules!!! I cut off and stole my boot! on my front door and on my garage. Mind you, I have not been booted. They have the wrong house. Getting a person is impossible with their phone tree. I have sent a message via ******** messenger to ******************* who is listed online as an officer of the company. There is no corporate office phone number listed anywhere that I could find. I need them to come and remove their stickers immediately and take care of any damage that *** occur during the removal of these stickers. A case for vandalism and defamation can easily be made. If you choose to use this slanderous sticker as a business practice you better **** be sure you have the right home! And have a way for your company to be notified that you made this mistake.
