On 6/5/2022, Park It Right located in ******, **, booted my vehicle with a license plate ****** at the address of ********************************* *****. I paid the requested amount to have it released which included a deposit of $165, this amount has been provisioned to be returned/refunded to my card used to pay the attached paid invoice. It is a 16th day which exceeds the disclosed 14-day term for the deposit. I inquired about its status on June 22nd to which the Park It Right's associate responded to keep waiting as it has not been 14 days yet. Since it is 2 days over the 14-day term, I respectfully demand that:1. Park It Right refunds $165 immediately to my card used to pay the fine on 6/5/2022; and 2. In addition to the refund of the deposit, I request that Park It Right reimburses me 10% of the deposit amount as a fair compensation for an exceeded amount of days allowed for the refund, per their policy, which has not been complied with on their part. Therefore $165 + $16.50 = total of $181.50 Thank you!********************* ****************

      Complaint: 17494830

I am rejecting this response in part that ParkItRight has failed to address my concern over their failure to apologize for the overdue days they have failed to submit the deposit of $195 within a 14-day timeframe nor they have addressed my request to adequately reimburse me for their failure to timely refund my deposit. Nowhere in my complaint did I ask ParkItRight the portion of the fee I timely paid to them, i.e. $195. My complain revolved around the business's failure to timely submit a refund of $195 as promised in the Release terms I attached earlier to my complaint. I'd appreciate ParkItRight to address their failure to timely refund $195 which now has been refunded to me several days later.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

Park it right has been terrorizing the residents and guests of the Enclave at DTC community. They are booting visitor cars in visitor parking spots on a weekly basis. Within two weeks, park it right has booted my visitors car twice and demanded $700 to remove. Some of this money is a refundable deposit, however they hold the money for much longer than their guaranteed return time. My visitor and I both have low paying jobs and are just trying to get by. $700 in one week is a huge hit to both of our bank account. This company is given a little bit of power and they take it and extend it way beyond that which is given to them. The company is now harassing my visitor. They will not provide a code to unlock the boot unless you email their support team. An email has been sent to the support team, and within 15 minutes and no reply from the support team, they have sent her a text message saying a vehicle has been dispatched for immediate towing unless you give us $350 right now.I have spoken to numerous residents who have also had issues with this towing company. Companies like this need to be corrected in their actions, and the only way is through the help of the community. It needs to be made apparent what they are doing to people. At the very least, practices like this by a company should not be awarded with better business bureau recognition.Thank you for your time!

During a random patrol on 3/5/22, the ****** Tacoma (CO)HQN738 was booted for Resident Permit Required in accordance with the pre-established parking rules of The Enclave at DTC that we are required to enforce on their private property. During this violation, *****************************/******** Mielke identifies themselves as the responsible parties/ residents/ owners of the vehicle.

During a random patrol on 3/12/22, the ****** Tacoma (CO)HQN738 was booted for Resident in Visitor Parking in accordance with the pre-established parking rules of The Enclave at DTC that we are required to enforce on their private property. Residents are not permitted to park in visitor spaces.

It is the responsibility of the owner/resident/guest to know and comply with the pre-established parking rules of The Enclave at DTC.

********, himself, associated this vehicle as his resident vehicle.
******** escalated the situation by demanding a special treatment and refusing to comply with the release process.
The boot is a courtesy in lieu of a tow and the vehicle can be impounded at any time without further notice as informed to all callers on a recorded prompt prior to speaking with a live agent as well as sent through text to the associated phone numbers on file.

******** was also informed that the deposit refund will be processed within **** business days, excluding weekends and bank holidays, on a recorded prompt, by a live agent, and as written on the invoice, which can be referred back to at any time. Both refundable deposits are still within this time frame.

      Complaint: 16887364

I am rejecting this response because:

After the original complaint submitted to the BBB, there was further communication with Park It Right. Immediately after submitting an email request with Park It Right to unlock the boot, a text message was sent to my visitor, the vehicle owner, saying a tow truck had been dispatched for immediate towing of their vehicle. Park It Right responded to the email request close to 5 hours later, so for 5 hours my visitor and I thought a tow truck was going to immediately tow the vehicle unless the $350 fine was paid immediately. When Park It Right finally did respond, it looked identical to the response sent to the BBB on the 16th, citing an email sent by me after the original booting communicating on behalf of my distraught visitor. I then checked old sent emails and found where I had mistakenly typed 'my vehicle' instead of 'my visitors vehicle' in one email. We then immediately responded to Park It Right explaining that there was a miscommunication the week before and provided legal documentation of the vehicle's owner and their home address. Park It Right never responded to this email clarifying the miscommunication or acknowledged their mistake.

After a week of being out of contact with the Enclave's HOA Manager, I finally was able to talk to him and explain the situation. He has acknowledged that Park It Right made a mistake, and requested a refund for the boot, which we now have to wait another **** days. Additionally, it has been 14 days and the original boot deposit has not been refunded as promised.

My big issue is with the lack of communication and customer service from a company that demands a lot of money from people that *** not necessarily have that laying around. The first week of being booted, a mistake was made on our behalf, the vehicle was parked in a resident spot and did not have a resident hang tag. This was acknowledged by paying the $350 fine to Park It Right. Seven days later, my visitor returned, parked in a visitor spot, and was booted again. Yes, there was a miscommunication, but that was very clearly explained to Park It Right. At that point, it is the responsibility of Park It Right to acknowledge their mistake and provide the code to unlock the boot without requiring more money from someone. An upstanding business, whether it be the day of the incident of the next week, would have responded in some way to an email providing them legal proof of ownership after something like that happened.

Furthermore, it is not a rule at the Enclave that 'only' visitors can park in visitor spots. Straight from the parking rules provided by the **** last updated in July of 2021, it does not state that residents cannot park in visitor parking spots. This rule book was provided to Park It Right explaining that even if they had believed the booted vehicle to be a resident vehicle, it is not a rule in the condo association that it cannot be parked in a visitor spot. Park It Right never responded to this remark either.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

My car was booted in my assigned parking spot without notice and no instructions were provided to get it removed.

****** is not a customer of **********************. ****** did not provide any vehicle information so we are not able to verify that ****** was booted. His name is not associated with any current records in our database. It is the responsibility of the owner/resident/guest to know and comply with the pre-established parking rules of the property. Every single boot is clearly marked with Park It Right's phone number which is manned 24 hours by a live agent to assist with advising of violation and release instructions for the boot after payment is received.  Furthermore, our  signs are  located at every entrance and throughout the property displaying our phone number and our  email address which is also monitored 24 hours a day. Our boot is designed with a rubber backing so that the boot itself never touches the tire. It is impossible for the device  to do any damage to the vehicle unless the violator drove on the boot while it was still attached which the sticker placed on their drivers side window (required by regulation) also informs them of who to call and not to operate the vehicle with the boot attached. Our boot can be released within ***** minutes with online invoicing and a live agent providing  instructions of  how to remove the  boot and where  to return it on the property.

Park It Right only speaks with the owner of the violating vehicle and ****** is not associated to any record in our database.

Park It Right has not been provided any damage details, information, pictures, or mechanic estimates stating that the damage was caused by Park It Right's device.

I am a property owner in *********************. I received a notice dated 8/16 from Park It Right company about a vehicle (DODGE CHALLENGER SXT, VIN: C3CDZAG2LH138676) parked in front of my garage door at fire lane at 11:18pm. Furthermore, the boot was intentionally removed and ask me/my tenant to pay $875 to release the violation. This is my rental property. My tenants and his family have no idea what happened during that night. That car doesn't belong to his family either. All-in-all, it's not our car and we don't know what's going on that night. Tenant said there is no car there when his wife left for work 8/17 morning. I emailed several time. Park it right didn't give me an explanation. Again, the car is not our car. The place is a common area. I don't think I have the responsibility to pay for other's violation. Park it Right shall find and charge the owner of that car.

On Aug 11th, 2021 my car was booted by the tow vendor for improper parking at Cobblestone Crossing neighborhood. I paid a bill in the total of $340 with a disclaimer that my safety deposit in the amount of $165 would be refunded within 11~14 days of immobilization. After releasing my vehicle I called and spoke with the tow vendor, giving them my proper billing address and confirmation that their boot was returned to them in the same condition I found on my vehicle. I e-mailed them multiple times since the lapse of the repayment and have no received neither my deposit, or a response from the company as to why they will not release my funds. The invoice # is ***************

Our vehicle was booted for what park it right is calling double parked. The vehicle is directly on the line and is not impeding on any other space and our pictures and their pictures show this. There were no complaints and the property owners did not request this boot. They are also not using it he legal definition of illegal parking. They are attempting to charge us 340$ for parking violation and boot removal.
