The summer of 2024 I received a quote from **** Rite to replace a bathroom counter top and bring the pipes inside as they freeze when it's below 0 degrees. That was the main reason I spent the $9000.00+ to ensure the pipes did not freeze. They assured me they would not. The pipes froze last night and are frozen sold now. No water in the sink. I kept the cabinet doors open to ensure heat was getting to the pipes. For all I know the pipes may be broken. I have a heater facing the pipes now but they are still frozen solid. I want someone to really fix this and refund my money. I am paying **************** on the 0 % interest plan and have another $5000 to go

We contacted **** ****** immediately Monday, after receiving the information from the BBB as well as an email sent. (Both Sunday)  Our Master Plumber and his assistant were both in her home by 10:00am that morning. **** was concerned that the plumbing feed lines had not been moved inside the house (from inside the exterior wall) as contracted for last summer.  As indicated in the attached pictures, we have verified that the pipes are in fact currently inside the home and no longer in the wall cavity.  By the time we arrived, the water was flowing and no longer frozen.  As a preventative measure we cut an access panel in the toe kick of the cabinet to assist heated air from inside the home getting to the underside of the cabinet where the pipes now come through the floor (see the attached photo.)
Our Master Plumber and I both spoke to **** this morning and found out that the hot water line was frozen once more.  It is evident that this is an air infiltration problem, not a plumbing problem, as the pipes are now inside the home.  I assured **** that, although our work consisted of moving the plumbing not finding air infiltration or an insulation problem, we are committed to helping resolve the issue.
Our next step is to either today or Friday, dependent on Beths schedule, come to her home to install a decorative grate on the toe kick access that we created and to provide an additional solution to the cold air problem.  Our solution is to cut a large opening in the basement ceiling below this sink (which is in a shower) and install another grate/vent to allow heated house air to reach the pipes in question from below.  Currently it is completely blocked off.  Ther are several other areas in the basement that someone else has done this.  Additionally, we will attempt to insulate the rim joist and bottom plate at this location. Presumably, cold air is coming in from that location and blowing on the pipes.

Hello *******This is ***** from Dun-Rite. Thanks for taking our calls and we are sorry that it came to a Better Business Bureau complaint. We look forward to seeing you in your home next week. Your project was completed in February of 2021. Around that time, we worked on several service issues with you, regarding the island countertop, replacement doors, door adjustment, and floor service. Then, a year later, in February of 2022, we see a service call for your hinges. From February to June 2022, our service technicians attempted to reach you, and you them, without progress. Your warranty is in full effect, and we are committed to getting to the bottom of this with you.
