I had my car towed to this shop because it would not start. The next day they said that the battery was running low and that I would need a diagnostic done, at a cost of $299.00. I reluctantly agreed simply because my car was not working and I had used a tow. ***** and *** said they would call me back in a couple of hours. I didn't get a call back and when I called them they just repeated that they would call me. I went to the shop that afternoon and found my car parked on the street. When I asked what was going on with my car, they said they were working on it. I pointed to my car on the street and said they obviously were not. ***** and *** whined that they were short staffed and that they had a garage full of cars. I stated that I wanted my car back. They refused saying they had started the diagnostic and would finish it that afternoon and contact me. No one contacted me. The shop was then closed over the weekend. I received a call Monday stating they had charged and cleaned the battery and that the car was now fine. I went to get the car that afternoon at 4 pm and found the shop locked. I went around back and found ***** in the parking lot. ***** said that he had been working by himself all day. The invoice for my car was $315.00. I requested a copy of the diagnostic and he could not show me anything. I took the car home. The next day I contacted Aamco customer service and told them what had happened and that I wanted a full refund. I was told that each shop is independently owned and they referred me back to the shop. I spoke with ***************** and was told that ***** didn't have the ability to print out a copy of the diagnostic but that he, ***, would e-mail it to me. I never received anything. The next day I took my car somewhere else and it was determined that I needed a new alternator. Obviously they did not do a diagnostic. I believe the actions of this shop goes beyond incompetent and are criminal. My money should be refunded and this shop should be closed.

As a business owner myself of 8yrs I take leaving a negative review for another company far more serious now than I would have before becoming one, but business owners are still customers. This shop is not accredited with BBB because they know how fast their score will drop. I'm writing this review only to make aware to other consumers, with this shop its "buyer beware"! The owner had misled me, lied to me and did work that was never authorized by me. I hope he kept great phone records and logs of all conversations and work done. The only authorization this shop had was to do a diagnostic which I had to call a week later to find results. Talking with the owner he said my jeep drove poorly and there were many problems with it, but not once did he say anything about the transmission until I asked how did you drive it when it doesn't go in to gear? Once he admitted it wasn't driven then I told him about my warranty, his demeanor did a 180 degree turn. In a month of having my jeep I called 20x's he never called once nor anyone else, he never told me he dropped my transmission and took it to another shop. nor tell me he started the work, which I never approved to do. This shop was not connected with any rental agency before complained, now with Enterprise, I think? I called Aamco Corp. They even called the owner there a jerk! 100% their words. To prove that this is not a money issue, I paid $100 for a $7500 rebuilt transmission, but paid out of pocket $1,100 for rental car. I never wanted this shop to do the work because of way I was treated regardless of who was paying. I complained to warranty company, but they did nothing. I told the owner his customer service skills SUCK! His reply, laughter. Said, Im just here to fix your jeep. Every time he said, we will call you, they NEVER did! They left jeep filthy with grease on passenger seat and dirty rags, no wash at all in month of having it. They left hose dangling. Within three days the transmission slipped again!!
