I purchased a truck in August from the Sharpest Rides. They had me and the dealer sign a paper stating the vehicle had a clean car fax. My needs have changed from a truck to a cargo van. So I went to trade the truck in the other day on a ******************* The dealer I was at pulled the carfax, they then told me that this truck had severe frame damage reported. This was not disclosed, Now a truck I bought less than a year ago for $26,000 is now only worth $8000. If this would have been disclosed to me, I quite simply would have bought a different truck, as this dealer usually has plenty to choose from. I have contacted the dealer, and am just getting ignored after I told them my problem.

I purchased this car (2012 *** 128i convertible with around ****** miles) via a loan with a $3000 down payment on 8/12/2024 for roughly $11,000 after fees.I purchased this car about 9 months ago and have put only about ***** miles on it and it has only given me problems and more expenses. Here is a list of things that immediately failed:-battery (the day I purchased the car; sharpest rides mechanic was able to replace this, thankfully)-old tires (got a flat the first week I drove the car; had to immediately replace all 4)-Bluetooth system consistently glitching What the *** shop said needed to be fixed after inspection:-spark plugs -coils -coolant leak -oil gasket leak -heating system -infotainment system Now, I am dealing with rod bearing failure, which is more expensive to repair than the value of the car itself. I feel that I got massively scammed here and I fear that they sell dangerous and unchecked cars here. Ideally, I would like to return the car and be fully reimbursed, not counting all of the repairs to the car I have already had to pay.

The Sharpest Rides sold a 2012 *** 128i on August 12, 2024.  The vehicle had ***** miles at the time of sale.  Nothing was promised at the time of delivery.  The customer declined any extended service contract.  None of the issues mentioned were brought up prior to purchasing the vehicle.  Without having an extended service contract the customer is responsible for the repairs.  The Sharpest Rides would take the vehicle in on trade

I am rejecting this response because I was promised a working car and not a severely poorly maintained and unsafe vehicle, as I hope all of your customers are promised. I will not be giving any more money to your business, so a trade-in will not work for me. Why should I trust that you will put me in a safe vehicle, as the one I previously bought is unsafe to drive in? I would like a partial refund, if nothing else. I have already lost so much money fixing this car that it is truly the least your business can do.

    Sincerely,

I purchased a Hummer H2. At the time I had asked if the thoroughly inspect the vehicles. I was told yes we would sell a damaged vehicle. They do visual inspections along with safety inspections. The next morning, I started the vehicle and it immediately said low engine oil. I noticed it was leaking on my driveway. I took the vehicle to a mechanic who confirmed the motor was blown, the transmission has a crack in it that you can see with a naked eye, the power steering gear box was leaking that you can see with the naked eye, the sway bar linkage was completely off, keeping it safe in the road, the Tcase was missing bolts, and another long list of other repairs. This was in a hour of bringing it in. I have contacted them asking what they are willing to do? They have said nothing, Colorado is a as is state. I said but at the time of sale I was assured that all cars are inspected that sharpest rides wont sell damaged vehicles, this was a lie. Especially after looking here, listening to interviews with employees, watching news, seeing complaint after complaint. Thousands of complaints. This is fraud. And they are stealing people money and messing with there lives to get to work care for there families. If they would make it right on my part and that is the cost of doing business. Then I would be happy. But they refuse to do a thing and say we have never lost a law suit in ********.

I went to Sharpest Rides to trade in my 2017 JeepJanuary 22, 2025 that evening agreeing to a tradein I understood that my 2017 Jeep renegade had negative equity meaning I-still owed money on the vehicle at least $11,925(bellco) but I had already had a preapproved loan from Navy Federal for $30,000. I chose to trade in my 2017 Jeep renegade for their 2018 ************* C class 300 which at the time was worth about ****** and they were willing to give me $4000 for my jeep renegade with the trade-in. The salesman informed me that I needed to be sure of the vehicle before he went to go get it so i saw the car and I test drove the car A lot of questions came out and I did not like the car initially because of all of the issues I was seeing with the check engine light being on and the bald tires and the interior damage in the brake warning Message being on it was a lot of things I did not like about it, but he informed me that they would do a safety inspection and they would fix most of the things and that everything would be OK . He told me they had just received that car used .. and its a really good car so I agreed and he had me sign with the finance team. After signing papers. I asked him which cars Would I have to take home since the ************* still needed an inspection and he said well since I already traded in the Jeep, I had to take Take home the ************* and I can bring it back anytime that week to get a detailed and to get the safety inspection performed so I said fine and went home With the ************* Monday 2/24/2025 during my lunch break and I dropped it off.. as of today, February 19, 2025 I still do not have the ************* that I purchased last month in the bank (******) Who I had my auto loan with for the 2017 Jeep renegade keeps calling me because I am **************************************************************************************************** my name. I bought a car from Sharpest rides from a person named **** *******. The management was also very unprofessional. When I bought the car the heat instantly has not worked. Immediately. They sold me a lemon. Are there any lemon laws? They got upset because before I bought the car I asked to take it to a second party for a pre purchase inspection. **** ******* said that wont be necessary, we do our own inspections so everything should be great! When I took it to the ********* thee inspector told me that the radiator was cracked and was leaking fluid in the engine. They promised me (and it is in the contract) they would fix the radiator and the door handle. They told me that they ordered the door handle and it was on the way. They said they would call when it arrived and have it installed. This was upposed to take a day. (We put this in the purchase agreement.) it is a contract. I have beeen trying to call for weeks and they avoid my calls. The manager has told me they ordered the part and every time I call they hang up or leave me on hold for hours on end. I wish to have no further contact with this terrible business. But I would like an adjustment in the cost of the door handle. I dont trust them with my car ******** was in the contract before the purchase that they would fix the door handle and he told me he would fix the handle and they would call me when it came in. They never called. They never intended to call. This is all a retaliation for me taking the car to get it inspected. They told me they did their own inspection but they would have definitely found a crack in the radiator if they did do one so obviously they did not do one at all.I just want a refund for the door handle. Which is $375. So I can have a dealership do it.Thanks for taking my complaint seriously!

On December 27, 2024 ***** **** purchased a 2017 Kia ******** from The Sharpest Rides.  The vehicle was sold with ******* miles.  As part of the purchase the dealership did replace the radiator.  Regarding the door handle and lock cylinder has it been replaced?

    Customer Answer

    Date: 02/20/2025

Hello my name is ***** ****!   I bought a car from the sharpest rides!

It was a horrific and horrendous experience.

Since I paid for the car in purpose they took my money and treated me amazingly poorly!   They acted like children and terrorists rather than business people in a transaction.

It is in my contract that the door handle would be fixed.   When I talked to the owner he said he ordered the part and he would call them the part arrived.

Not only did he never call I believed that he never ordered the part and never intended to order the door handle!

I bought my car from sharpest rides and **** Malllard.   They were very upset because before I bought the car I asked to have it inspected!

Upon the inspection they found that the radiator needed to be replaced.   This made **** ******* and the people at sharpest rides upset!

They claim they fixed the radiator and they were supposed to fix the door handle at the same time.

I called them and when I called and dropped off the car I told them the door handle needed to be fixed and they verified!

When I called them days later they said the never heard about the door handle needing to be fixed!  I know because I told them with my own mouth!!

Since then I have been calling and they have been putting different workers on the phone and telling me that once I drove off the lot the car was mine!

I know I they put in my contract the door handle would be paid for and fixed by the company.

They do not intend to fix the door handle and they have been rude and mean about it!

They act a lot more like gangsters with grudges than an actual business.

This has caused me severe trauma and this transaction has been a horrendous experience for me.

I just wanted them to do what they said they were going to do before I gave them the money.

Now that they have my money they let me know they were never going to do what was in the contract!

This is what happens to minorities with no financial resources to defend themselves properly.

These businesses do what they want and treat people any way they want especially after they have the money!

    ***** M ****

After I bought the car I instantly had to put another $1000 dollars into the car because the heat no longer worked!  I know when I was buying the car they took it to the back and after sitting there for hours it still took them over an hour to get my car after all of the paper work!  I cant prove this but it wouldnt surprise me if they were messing with the heat during that time!

They seem like very bad people beyond their business practices.   It felt like I was dealing with controlling gangsters rather than a legitimate business

These sharpest rides is a predatory company.

In the initial response to the complaint, the question was asked if the door handle and lock cylinder was replaced.  If so, provide an invoice and we will reimburse the expense of the door handle.  If it still has yet to be done, I'm sure we can get the situation rectified.

I recently took my son to sharpest rides to get a car. After going to the ********* location twice and spending multiple hours each time I am completely disappointed and may even seek a lawyer after filing this complaint. Now first and foremost the car was supposed to be in my sons name only, being he was a first time buyer with no credit the company had a hard time finding a lender for him with a $2000 down payment. After multiple attempts and different cars my son finally chose a 2020 ***** 3 sedan. Again the lender wanted more money down. So as a parent with a pretty decent credit score ******************************* sign to assist my son further. When we go to test drive the car ******* the salesman says there is problem with the passenger side door handle which he would put in the due bill so it would get fixed. My son decides to get the car, we go over to finalize the paperwork and the entire time they have me and my son signing and initialing all the paperwork in the proper spots. When it gets to the paperwork for the tags we were instructed that only my signature was needed. I asked why and was told my son was actually the consigner and I was the main person on the loan. Now how is that possible someone with no credit is the co signer? We were misled all the way up until the very end of the deal. Is that not fraud? If that was the case why did he have to put $2000 down? Either way to add insult to injury we leave with the car and the driver side door handle is also broken and my son has to open the doors through the back doors. The key fob dies two days later and I had to pay for a lock ***** to come out. This was over 2 weeks ago and we are still getting the run around about the doors being fixed. This was a terrible experience and we were totally finessed. There was no integrity from the manager who was present all the way down to the sales rep ******** They definitely took advantage of me being a single mother willing to help her son

On January 15, 2015 ******** ***** and Ahmier ****** purchased a 2015 Mazda3.  The vehicle had ***** miles at the time of purchase.  When someone cosigns on a loan they are equally as responsible for the paying of the loan as the buyer.  ***** times lenders ask that the applicant with the better credit be listed as the primary buyer in order to get the loan approved.  Regardless, both parties are equally responsible for the loan and each receive credit moving forward.

Regarding the door handles, the dealer was aware of these at the time of purchase and listed them as needing to be replaced on a due bill.

I am rejecting this response because: When the bank or creditor requested that the one with the better credit should be the primary that is something that should have been discussed. Regardless of who gets credit and who is responsible. Also, we were told all the way through the process until it was time to sign the paper work for the tags that I was co signer That is not information you hide and proceed on without either parties being aware. That is still misleading the buyer(s)

Sharpest Rides In July of 2024 I bought a car from the Sharpest Rides. This car was listed on line as a 4 wheel drive but indeed turns out was a front wheel. They fixed the A/C and that must of undone something because the car started having a lot of problems. Transmission fluid started leaking in August, now the coolant started leaking. The headlight points at the ground. I would bet there was a wreck that was not reported to car fax as there is definitely front end damage that appears to of been repaired with after market ******** wife called in September and they said they would look at it for free and then if it was a warranty thing they would move it to a warranty replacement and cover the small deductible. Of course the name of the manager they gave her did not exist so when I took a day off to take my car in, no one had heard of him and they said if not warranty I would be charged. They did offer to put me in a different car but I was so upside down it would be a ridiculous payment and cost for the vehicle. They definitely sold me a total lemon that I have to payoff. I have to put 3 quarts of oil a week and same for coolant costing around 60 a week. I cant really drive it at night safely and feel robbed. They said they would have a GM get back with me but no one has ever called back. Its a joke when I call there to re explain everything to be told I will get a call and that no one was aware of it. Well new year and I am in an unsafe vehicle, my wife lost her job due to disability so I cannot double my payment and this place has just given me the run around for 6 months. I feel they need to help with this situation as this car was in my opinion rigged because the problems all started so soon. But to be put off this long is crazy. When I went in in September, they were supposed to to get my car fixed. This is what I still want and I need a vehicle while they do it.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 02/28/2025

    Good day,

I am emailing regarding case number ********. I was locked out of my email for quite a while. This is in regards to a better business complaint against the sharpest, ride. I was unable to respond to their response back in September. My wife spoke with them. They said if I brought the vehicle in, they would look at it and either get it repaired or if they could not they would help me get it traded in without making my payment jump too much When I brought the vehicle in, nobody remembered the conversation they said there was no one named ***, which is who they told my wife she she was talking to was talking to when she asked for a manager. They were unwilling to help told me no managers were available my number and said someone would call me. No one ever called me back and after about a month and a half of phone tag I quit calling the car did not have the leaks until after the air conditioning was fixed which means this was not an issue. I wouldve seen when purchasing the car or I would not have bought it. I dont imagine fixing the air conditioning wouldve caused the transmission to start leaking gallons of transmission fluid. Also, this was listed as a four-wheel drive which it is clearly not. I feel that I was scammed. Im not sure if they knew about the other problems and they were hidden by them or maybe hidden by the person who sold them the car or maybe just a fluke in when the air conditioning got fixed it ***** free whatever caused other problems I only have one car and I definitely had worked with my boss to make sure I had transportation when I was bringing in the vehicle in September to drop it off. I am afraid to make those arrangements again because I feel that they may pull the same thing. I understand these cars are as is however, this leak was not there until after they fix the air conditioning which means it wasnt as is until after they did the repair I would very much like for them to take responsibility and either put me in another car or take on the repairs whether its covered under the warranty or not, including making sure I have transportation during such time I feel that it is not part of their as his contract as the repair of the air conditioning as what sparked this fluid link, which means something was hiding whether intentional or not the linking of the transmission fluid I have not been able to really have a lot of use of this car and literally have to put a gallon of transmission fluid in it every other day in order to even drive it I would appreciate sharper ride, stepping up on showing that they are a high star company so for them to say, I did not bring it in for any diagnosis as unfair as I tried and I feel they played a game causing me nothing but stress so if I could get them to maybe be given in writing And exactly what they are intending to do when I bring it in as I dont want them to diagnose it and then charge me thousands of dollars Im already upside down enough

I am sorry I missed the response and I hope you are still able to help me without having to re-file if I indeed do need to re-file, please let me know and I will be happy to do so.

The number that was on the email for their response was 7364853620A16

    Thank you

Camden ***** purchased a 2013 **** Escape on July 13 2024.  The vehicle had ****** miles at the time of the sale and was sold As Is.  The customer purchased an extended service contract for major repairs.  Based on the length of time it has been since the purchase of the vehicle the vehicle would need to get diagnosed.  If there is a repair that is covered under the extended service contract a claim would get filed.

Was intentionally lied to about the reliability and car condition. I was sold a 2012 ***** Equinox LTZ (lemon). I was told it passed their inspection and would pass emissions. Less than 2 weeks later, the car was drove for the first time on the highway, and check engine light came on, along with 2 other lights. The car wouldn't exceed over 50 miles per hr. Long story short, after the dealership had it sent to their repair shop, it was in fact, the engine. The dealership wouldn't give me an even or fair trade out. They offered me a 2001 Buick Century!!! I declined, and was offered a 2009 **** Escape, with no guarantee of having a bad engine or any other major problems. It's not even guaranteed yo pass emissions. I'm accusing The Sharpest Rides of false advertising, deceiving consumers and theft

    Customer Answer

    Date: 12/20/2024

Although the dealership does state that the car is a TW, almost half the public doesn't know what that means. They have put the car back on their website for sale for almost  $4000. The car has a bad engine, that cost $5500 to replace. The listing claims, that it is a great car with a horsepower engine.  It's the same car! Very deceiving and false advertising, very poor integrity

We bought a ****** Tacoma from this business. We were aware it had been in an accident and that the minor repairs required had been fixed by them. They were not and we drove it back with issues that could have caused an accident. It is now at ************************* in ******** , where it has been for 2 weeks waiting for Sharpest rides to pay for these repairs. They want us to pay half the repair cost. My husband wants to just pay it so he can have the truck, but I am crying Foul. According to **** reviews this seems to be standard practice for them, and it needs to stop
