I hired Corey W******* of WizKid Construction in January 2022 to complete the remodel of 2 bathrooms in my home. He took a deposit of $17,119.19 for the purchase of supplies and agreed to work with me on finding reasonably priced items to keep the cost of the remodel down. He claimed the remodel would take 10-14 days to complete. Soon after, a dumpster showed up and he demolished the two bathrooms. He began work on the basement bath, saying he had ordered supplies for the master but they were delayed on coming in. He did not ever provide a vanity for the master bathroom and he bought at least double the floor tile needed that was not returnable. After demo, I gave him another $5,255.89 based on an invoice for labor and a vanity he claimed to have ordered that was not in the previous estimate. When I asked for proof of the supplies being ordered such as a bathtub and vanity, he said he did not have them and did not have to supply invoices for those items. He would not come on a regular schedule and did damage to walls and floor of my house while he was working. After 2 months, I told him the basement had to be completed as we had company coming to stay with us. He completed the basement but the tiling work is shoddy and the shower head/tub spout does not work correctly. I ended up ordering a vanity and paying a 2nd time after the one he claimed to order was "lost." He proceeded to act like he was working on our master bathroom but after another month of no real progress, we fired him. The new contractor we have hired has shown me that Mr. W******* did plumbing work incorrectly that would have led to leaks behind walls within a few years. He also was not prepping the walls correctly for them to be water proof. and over all did not do work that would have led to the bathroom being functional. He did not seem surprised when we fired him, just wanted to make sure he got all of his tools back and would not discuss a refund of any sort.
