  I am including the review I have submitted for **************** (a laboratory used by Sage Dermatology). I would highly recommend when looking for a dermatologist, take the time leave ********** and refrain from using Sage Dermatologists. The disclosure from this clinic is less than forthright. When I made appointment to have an area of skin looked at, it was recommended a sample be sent to the laboratory to rule out any malignant cells. Never did ********* disclose scraping a chunk of skin out of me going to be in addition to the quoted $ 99 appointment quoted. Nor was it disclosed I would be looking at a $466 charge from the laboratory selected by Sage Dermatology. Beware of the non-integrity of this company. BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE. I would highly recommend if any of the doctors you use require any laboratory services with ****************, ************************************************************, request another laboratory or doctor. I was charged for $130 for no other reason than the laboratory taking my sample submitted by my dermatologist and then another $120 for processing the sample submitted. In addition I was charged 2 charges for Stains. As soon as I started to question the charges on my bill they sent my balance to a collection company. This company is scandalous and if I were able to give a zero star I would. The public should be aware of companies who are there for nothing more than to s**** you over and take you money. Look at the reviews from the Better Business Bureau

  I am sorry this is the experience you have had. We try to be very clear and explain that pathology bills are separate and will come from **************** directly. They have also been very great in the past working with patients and billing issues. I apologize that is not what you experienced. We strive to provide the best patient care and that means using 3rd party resources that can allow us the same, if there are other options we are open to suggestions.  **************** would like to reach out to you and see if they can help come to resolution with this issue. Unfortunately this is out of the hands at Sage Dermatology and Summit would need to further assist you with this issue.
