DO NOT TRUST!We hired Level Engineering for $500 to assess whether we could remove a half wall in our home. They claimed this was their area of expertise, and after sending three engineers to inspect three walls, they confidently assured ustwicethat the wall we intended to remove was 100% not load-bearing.Trusting their professional assessment, we began demoing. However, upon removing drywall, we discovered four stacked 2x4ssomething that even with our limited construction knowledge, raised a red flag. We immediately called the engineers back out, and to their credit, they returned the same day. But instead of reconsidering their assessment, they doubled down on their claim that the wall was 100% NOT load-bearing. The lead engineer even dismissed our concerns, saying, Framers do this all the time. I wont lose sleep on this one tonight, Ill sleep like a baby.Well, were not sleeping like babiesbecause the wall is, in fact, load-bearing. Thanks to their grossly negligent assessment, weve now caused structural damage to our home, and well be taking legal action against Level Engineering. This company is reckless, unprofessional, and completely incompetent. Their job was to ensure the safety of our home, and they failed in the worst way possible. If you value your home and your peace of mind, stay far away from Level Engineering.

****** at Level Engineering went above and beyond. I have an old house on a hill with clay **** and drainage problems and some complicated foundation issues. Several other highly rated engineering firms came and would string me along for weeks before finally saying they didn't know what to do. I felt like no one wanted to deal with a complicated old house on a hill when they could just work on new home builds. ****** really took the time and the brain power to figure it out. And he patiently explained to me my options and what they each meant. He called and spoke to other specialists and generally speaking went above and beyond. I am so thankful and relieved to have my house fixed.
