I've worked with Good Fellas for well over ********************************************************************************************************* They have experienced turnover in the past few years, but the person who came out earlier this year was far and away the most knowledgeable tech I've ever worked with. We do have a lingering furnace issue that's been hard to troubleshoot/resolve but GF is taking their time to isolate the issue before replacing the thermostat. I anticipate it will be resolved quickly now that we are using the furnace frequently.

GF sent someone to my home for an annual furnace checkup who didnt have enough experience to be working alone. I blame GF, not the tech. I later saw a review by a GF tech saying GF does not properly train its techs. At least I only had to ask once to receive a full refund. The tech said my furnace was not working & if the parts were not available, Id have to buy a new heater. I received an estimate of $1,975 to fix my heater. Ive had a checkup almost every year since I bought the furnace in 2009 (w/o any issues), and I could tell that this tech did not know what he was doing. 1st clue: Soon after arriving, as he held a gas monitor, he claimed I had a gas leak. I asked which type of gas and wondered aloud if he meant carbon monoxide (furnaces typically either leak its fuel, natural gas, or a combustion by-product, e.g., carbon monoxide). He replied Gas. The kind your hot water heater and furnace use. Then he dropped the subject, which seemed odd since having a leak of any gas would need to be fixed. 2nd clue: I knew my furnace was dual something, but could not remember the 2nd word (dual-stage aka 2-stage). Although I tried to prod him into saying it twice, he did not say the term, until after he spoke with someone over the phone. After he left, I checked online reviews for GF and other companies, to get a 2nd opinion. I was able to get someone from another company out the next day, after much worry about this expensive repair. Luckily, this person was certified (he guessed that my GF tech hadnt been certified, based on what I told him, which goes beyond what I described in this review). He said his company only uses certified techs and would only send one with more experience to a furnace that was more than 10 years old. He knew how to get my furnace to switch to the 2nd stage: he could either adjust the thermostat up quite a bit and wait 15 minutes or he could simply jump it right from the heater. He quickly determined nothing was wrong with my furnace.

The tech at this house is new and not yet certified. We are working on training every week to get the new guys that come in up to speed. This will be used as another learning block.

** AVOID -- THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM **I had called them back in Sep '22 to fix a furnace startup issue. They said its a faulty thermostat and I took the bait and got the thermostat replaced by them. With the Newly installed thermostat by *********, whenever the heat settig was on, the Furnace would TURN OFF and TURN ON automatically ( get into a constant loop) every 5 minutes -- this was a NEW problem Finally after repeated calls (last 3 weeks) to fix the ON and OFF loop issue they came in today(after an emergency call) after my furnace stopped working completely. Here is the catch - Today I discovered that their wiring on the NEW thermostat which Goodfella installed was done ALL WROG which basically caused the furnace to get into the cyclic loop (see pictures). AND now my thermostat igniter has gone BAD because of ALL the constant automatic turn off and turn ON every 5 minutes caused by the incorrect wiring (imagine turning off and on your home switches constantly for days -- they will eventually break ! )These guys sold me their premium maintenance plan (i paid around $200) and I paid almost the same for their broken thermostat. So already down $400 -- so stupid of me - could have just got a Nest and installed it myself They also tried to sell me a NEW control board and a NEW furnace-- saying thats the reason for the cyclic ON and OFF behavior -- but luckily I caught them red-handed with the wrong wiring Their technician is very rude and basically he left me and my family in the cold saying new igniter is not available -- he basically was trying to get me to buy a new furnace and spend thousands Avoid this Company at all cost -- they are a SCAM. There are many hardowrking small businesses around -- this is not one of them.

I got on with this company fresh out of technical college with my universal EPA, and instructor recommendation, and an uncapped growth potential. In my interview I was told I would begin hourly but commission would be weighed against it and I would get what was more; this claim changed when I began doing large numbers in commission. After making a large sale the owner began claiming I was not on commission and refused to pay me my commission even if I was to switch over to full commission from that point forward. I told him it left no incentive to make these large sales and outperform my hrly. In response he created a pay structure with very small bonuses for my large sales(I was not made aware of nor did I agree to the amounts) Although unhappy I continued to sell and seek work elsewhere. In a proceeding week I sold a full split unit and a furnace along with large *********; around 25k in sales. Instead of being compensated my hrly as claimed in my interview I was told that Im not on commission and received a 180$ bonus for that week, totaling my check after tax at just around $600. This bonus amount was less than the bonus amount I had received in previous weeks for lesser sales of around 7k. I confronted the owner about the situation, asking him to break down the $180 where he stammered to explain that it was indeed the payout for the week I sold 25k and that he had created a bonus system of 200$ for full split(furnace and AC) and $100 for just AC/furnace; this still did not add up to my bonus amount as I had sold both a full split and an AC to squire the sales amount. Owner will try and keep you hourly, short your pay, and benefit from your sales while you get nicked and dimed into accepting poor payment with attractive labels such as bonus attached to it. Payroll is also done illegally and unprofessional. Training is also poor/non existent and conducted by a shady salesman of a technician. College graduates looking for a position beware.
