Dr. ********* can be super sweet one minute and then his mood swaps. My parents took My beautiful puppy love into the hospital because she was having trouble breathing. I thought she was having an allergy attack. The cost to save her was $5000 ! The office didn't offer me a payment option or anything as soon as I said I didn't have the $5000 they didn't even give me a chance to see what I could do before telling me I needed to go to the hospital because she would not survive and that she was dying. My husband and I headed to the hospital immediately. We went to Petcardia because I had already emailed them to let them know that she was having problems, and ********* had always been there to help with her heart Murmur , and share a building with Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. As soon as I went to the front desk and started to talk to ****** and asked her if she heard anything from ************** because ************** knows my babies history and I trusted her . ****** recommended doing the x-rays doing the *** changing her pills so that she would live but as soon as the doctor seen me talking to her he moved so quickly to the front and he was upset that I was speaking to her. I had never seen someone move so quickly. He then directed me and my husband to an exam room where he had said he had done an x-ray and that he will let ** go see our baby. I see my baby sitting in this oxygen box, we talked on and off he was upset that I spoke to ****** and he said shes just a receptionist and she didnt know what she was talking about and she had no right to tell me anything. I asked him If she was going to survive he said he wasn't sure. Shes in critical condition the medicine we've given her and the oxygen isnt enough they need to increase it and she is suffering that she was dying. That he had no confidence in his ability to save her without her being there for two nights on oxygen, but he was not 100% sure that he could save her even with that. He went up to her oxygen box timed her breathing and said once again, I do not know if she will make it through the night, it felt like he was manipulating me. Then he took us to this mourning room so that we could put my baby down because he convinced me and my husband and my family that she was suffering and dying, and that I need to euthanize her .Its better to go this way then what she was dealing with .He told me I would have time with her but that did not happen. I had attitude from multiple nurses coming in and saying , are you ready for the doctor to put her down they wouldn't even allow me to take her outside to go potty one more time to have fresh air on her face until my sister got upset at them and then sat there talking amongst themselves about **. I had asked them to ask the doctor if he would be able to check on her while we were still spending time with her he came in and he said are you ready and addressed my father instead of me and my dad said you have to ask my daughter she's not mine and I told him immediately no I was not ready to let her go, and he got upset stood up, ******* and said she's suffocating and suffering and left the room . After that one of his assistance came in and while I was trying to spend my last moments with her before she got put down and had me sign paperwork to pay them instead of waiting and ******* all this paperwork at me . When he came in to euthanize her the look in her eyes, she looked like she was terrified of him. He said this would be peaceful. The look on her face breaks my heart every day. I think of her every moment of my day was how she looked before he took her away from me I let her down I should've went elsewhere. I have to force myself every day to keep it together, and not break down. He had me so scared that if she didn't have the oxygen by the time we got somewhere else she would've passed and suffered horribly. After we got ready to leave, they showed ** the back door so that we wouldnt upset anybody gave ** a box and said heres her coffin when I went back a couple days later to get the paperwork they didnt have all of it and it said she wasnt even going into heart failure. And now, when I try to talk to them, nobody knows about the **rays that they said they took. Nobody knows what Im talking about. They are unable to provide me with the **ray that they told me they were taking and it even states on the paperwork that they did take it but they refuse to give it to me and act as if i should not have a need for it. I had to reach out to ********* to find out what was going on because they're right next-door to them why the paperwork said she was not going in a heart failure when Dr. ********* told my family, she was in heart failure . They said That he had copied and pasted off of their records .I should've listened to my instinct. This place is about money and does not care about your babies. For a person to be in a position such as this and you chose do make this your profession. You're going to be a veterinarian you go because you love animals you dont make the money your priority.Youre dealing with peoples family. She wasn't a ****** She is my child she been through the most worst parts in my life and helped me get through it. I let her down by thinking in my time of need I would be able to trust people how the people we thought were friends were there to help so easily turn there backs and look the other way.

The ******** ********** of ******************* has an open investigation (case # ****-7086) against ****, ** vet *****************************, and vet tech *************************** for the following events.I brought my shih tzu (******) to ****'s emergency department, I had called at 6am to inform them that I was coming with an emergency and a description of the symptoms. ****** was extremely bloated, in pain from both a visual and audible perspective, vomiting, and displaying all the other classic signs of a digestive obstruction. The department's lead technician, ***************************, took ****** to see the ** vet who was working at 6:30am - *************************. ***** came back less than 2 minutes later, told me **************** had examined him, he was "stable", and I "should go somewhere else" if I though my dog needed care . This was a fabrication between ************************* (the vet) and her friend *************************** (the tech). ****'s management has admitted that *************************** did the exam in place of, and with the knowledge of, ****************. Both ****** and ********, falsified documentation and knowingly gave false information in a medical environment. **************** didn't want another patient, so ***** did the exam and lied on her behalf. I took my dog to VRCC where he spent the next 4 days in intensive care for a bowl obstruction. ***************************** and *************************** should both be fired - but **** has done nothing to correct this problem.

Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital Pc Response

    02/01/2022

******************, All of the purported information in your social media post has been reviewed with you and thoroughly explained by both the clinical and management teams at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital following an exhaustive reconstruction of your visit. We have attempted to clarify what is fact versus perception, but you have chosen to bring your claims to the state veterinary board, and they are in receipt of the records. We place a high degree of trust in the boards ability to review the facts of this case and provide a judicious finding. Once that occurs, we anticipate your respect for that decision and a cessation of any further efforts to criticize our hospital.Everyone who works in the veterinary industry are there to provide care and help as many pets as they possibly can. They care deeply about each and every one and, especially in recent times, face an at times unmanageable level of stress in their jobs. Demand for veterinary services is at an all-time high, and many peoples patience is, in general, at an unprecedented low. Our ask of every owner is to collaborate with us as a team in the assessment and care process with patience, respect, and flexibility.
