In May 2023, BBB contacted the business regarding claims in its advertising.

However, because it is impossible to keep a constant and up-to-date tally of all prices of all competitors, businesses can lessen the potential for consumer confusion by discontinuing or modifying these types of claims.  The business did not modify or discontinue the claims. 

A "100% Best Price Guarantee" badge is included on the company's website. If a business has a policy to match or beat competitors' prices, the offer must clearly and conspicuously disclose fully any material and significant conditions which apply including, if applicable, what evidence a consumer must present to take advantage of the offer. The terms of the offer should not unrealistic or unreasonable for the consumer. The business did not add this information to its website.

"We use the most professional and eco-friendly equipment and cleaning agents out there to make your floors look impeccable."  This statement appears at its website and thebluebook.com listing. According to the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers should not make broad unqualified general environmental benefit claims like eco-friendly. Advertisers must qualify general claims with specific environmental benefits and these benefits should be significant. Advertisers must also possess competent and reliable evidence (often scientific evidence) to support all environmental benefit claims. Qualifications for any claim must be clear, conspicuous and understandable. The business did not provide substantiation for this claim.

Its website and online advertising, including listings at thumbtack.com, alignable.com, networx.com, and porch.com, make reference to the firm being "..lead safe certified."  Its website and listing at thebluebook.com include the EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm logo.  The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. The business did not provide proof of current EPA certification.

Its website states "We also offer a solid warranty on all our work." Under the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the term warranty, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details can be seen prior to sale. These details must disclose any material limitations on the warranty.  The business did not add the terms of its warranty to its advertising.

A "Top Rated" badge appears on its website.  Because statements such as this can be proved or disproved, it requires substantiation.  The business did not provide substantiation or modify the statement.
