  R&R commercial painting was hired during the initial walk through based on a verbal agreement that all walls and ceilings in the living room/kitchen/dining room/garage/ bonus room stairwell and hallway would be primed and painted. When quote was emailed it initially seemed to reflect the verbal agreement stating as per verbal discussion. However, after 1 coat of primer, R&R claimed the job was completed. Upon inspection you could see drywall through the primer on every wall and ceiling. R&R was called out to fix this issue and spot painted. This proved to be inadequate. Despite R&R to coming out a 3rd time, drywall is still visible, the walls are still very rough and NOT paint ready, and they over sprayed our garage doors.

  I was called to give a price on the remaining painting, when i got there and had no plans as to finished trim, doors ect.. I gave them a quote to prime remaining walls, and apply ceiling paint on the ceilings we would spray the coating.

  The estimate date was 6-8-24 and we started on the 13th of the following week, we completed the work on the 14th and i sent them an invoice, still not paid. I was called back to here how the paint wasn't done right, they could see the drywall through the primer and it was rough to the touch, i said that's the process and needed to be sanded before painting top coats,***** told me it was not to his satisfaction that it needed to be primed again to fill what he thought it should be, I explained that primer was just a filler coat and didn't affect the look of the top coats they will give him the desired look.

  He also pointed out some spots on the ceiling that only he could see, If there was anything I would see it, I can see imperfections that most people would not see this is what I spent most of my life doing.

  So I told him I would come back and we sanded and rolled all the walls again and also sprayed out the ceilings at no additional cost,  he complained about the roller texture you can see over the previously sprayed coat and said it had some defects, so we meet up 45 minutes later he pointed out a few spots that was not going to make make a difference so I came back myself with one guy and hit up not only the spots but another 2 spots that I seen that he never pointed out. This was done to satisfy him, also we rolled out the garage and never sprayed only the 2nd half of the ceiling next to the interior wall so about over spray on the doors was never told to me plus we would have seen it ourselves.

  We have not received any money from this job.

  Also I offered ***** that I would paint the walls one coat in the main room area so he could see that the priming was done right, I asked for them to provide the paint and color they wanted, but they never did.

  Attached is a conversations from online blog of painters talking about primer coats, and I asked them to contact the ******************************* Rep to ask him he said he would but as of this morning he hasn't

  I am rejecting this response because:  

  obviously this has become a he said/she said case which I realize the BBB is unable to do anything about.  R&R painting knows full well in our verbal agreement when I asked if the quote covered priming all ceilings and walls and painting all ceilings and walls he said Yes.  That doors and trim would be extra.  It is unfortunate that this business does not stand by their word.  We did not purchase the paint because we have de used we no longer want this company in our home and will have to complete the work ourselves as his performance was less than adequate.  I never would have agreed to pay 7.4K to just prime the walls and paint the garage and ceiling inadequately.

  Well, i offered to paint the walls but that got rejected, i advised them as to get the ******************************* rep out there to inspect the job that got rejected.
