Tell us why here...I have maintained an A+ rating with Better Business Bureau for many years with no complaints.  This is an erroneous complaint received from Mr. ******.  He has also opened complaints against Greenwich Matchmaker LLC with the ******** ********* ****** in ********* ** *** *** *********** ********** ** ******** ***********  The case with the ******** ********* ****** is open and active. ************* *******.
A Matchmaker is hired to conduct a Search on behalf of the Client in my line of work. I developed a list of Search Criteria with Mr. ****** which he agreed upon. A progression of vetted candidates that fit his Search Criteria were presented to Mr. ****** for approval. He approved each and every one presented to him and confirmed that he would like to be introduced to them.  A restaurant reservation was arranged in the vicinity of where each candidate resided.  Mr. ****** arrived at the designated time as well as the designated Lady that he had previously approved.

Communication with each party was made by Greenwich Matchmaker following each date.  Mr. ****** was positive about the experience and all of his introductions that he met.  Two ladies presented were open to continuing the conversation/second date with him. A matchmaker does not guarantee love.

Matchmaker services are heavily weighted on the front end of the Agreement to facilitate the Search process to bring forth the candidates that fit the search criteria.

    All services have been performed.
Mr. ****** had a six month Agreement for unlimited introductions and decided to terminate of his own accord after five completed in person introductions and provided to Mr. ****** in the highest professional capacity.  He is not owed any refund.

The services that Lory provided were not provided according to the contract. Under our agreement, I paid her $30,750 for matchmaking services over a six-month term, for two hours of dating coaching, and for an initial screening that I was charged $750 for. Those fees are extraordinary. Unfortunately, extraordinary services were not provided. I sought and expected to be matched with numerous (e.g.”unlimited”) women who met my desired profile. That did not happen and the individuals who were referred were in many cases not the correct age, not really looking for a long-term relationship—and in one case were put off by me owning a cat. (This after I paid K***** $750 and made it clear to her what pets I had at home.)

    ·       I have reviewed the documents that Lory submitted to your office in this matter; namely notes on 5 individuals I met over as many weeks, the contract itself, and her written reason for refusing to return my money. Lory claims the right to keep my entire payment ($30,750); roughly $6000 dollars a match. This is absurd. I’d like to get your input on what you think these services are traditionally worth.

    ·       In addition, you should have a copy of my letter of termination sent to Lory after 44 days of disappointment. That means at most she provided 44 days of her services while keeping money paid for 180 days of service. This fact alone, would be enough to hold her liable for fraud. This is plainly improper. Moreover, she then claimed that I’m obligated to continue to abide by the terms of the contract (e.g. maintaining confidentiality and being responsible for payment) while expressly disavowing any obligation for her to do so as well. This is also improper.

    ·       Finally, as far as ***** involvement, it is not clear to me whether Greenwich Matchmaker LLC’s use of a “matchmaking database” or other digital and electronic resources qualifies the service as “online dating” under ***** **** ***** ******* *******, but it does not appear to me that the services comply with the legal requirements of Section ******** ***** ***** ** **** (if in fact this qualifies as “online dating” due to the use of matchmaking databases and other digital tools).

I have conducted interviews with those individuals I met through Ms. K*****’s services and am concerned about promises she made to them about what they were getting into and the fact that none of these potential matches were charged a fee for her services as I was. Please understand ******, that I’m requesting a full refund and after you see some of the most egregious facts, I’ve gathered I think you’ll agree with me. Please understand I want to make sure no one else is duped into paying The Greenwich Matchmaker exorbitant fees for questionable services.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ***** ****** ************ **** * ****** ******** ** **** ****** **** ** **** ** **** *********.
