      I purchased a used car through a reputable local dealership. The Financing went through scient credit union. I was extremely disappointed to never receive a loan number or payment due date from the credit union. A deposit account was established in my name which I received a statement for on this statement was a $120 charge to disperse my loan funds, I called and spoke with a representative, who told me the dealership was responsible for telling me about this fee. The agent Was able to provide me with a loan number and a payment due date which was the following day. I paid the minimum loan amount due through their online Processing center. Little did I know I would be charged a $15 convenience fee. I will never recommend this institution to anyone.

      This bank needs a new Member Services Manager, VP of Manager Services and Member Financial Representative. I was a member for over 20 years. Due to the rude attitude of a teller, I let her know what I thought of her. I complained to the Service Manager asking her if she would set up a meeting I would apologize to her and she to me. Her recommendation.. when entering the bank wait for another teller to service me. This Service Manager also has a sign in her office, "My Office, My Rules". Is this is an appropriate sign for a service manager to have in her office? Decided to close my account.. The Member Financial Representative told me I couldn't because the computer was down. After much discussion he was able to find a copy of the forms needed to start the procedure. I had an IRA that needed to be transferred. My financial adviser had a request for transfer form Federal Expressed to the Scient. After two weeks I telephoned the Representative to see if he had received it. He said no. I asked him if he would check again. His reply "me or my Service Manager handle all the mail". It was not at the bank. I called my financial advisor he advised that someone at the bank had signed for the federal expressed form. He also recommended it be faxed over directly to the bank. Finally they confirmed receipt of the form. At this point I decided to call the VP of Managers Services. I explained my concerns. She indicated that the lost form could have gone to anyone at the bank by mistake. I asked her to please find the form and to please call me back with that information and also to let me know who had signed for the federal express form in the beginning. A week went by and no call. I called and left her a message last week. Figuring I'm not going to get a call back I would let others know of my experiences. Interesting enough, my financial advisor informed me I'm not the only person to complain about their service with Scient Federal Credit Union.

      This bank is the most frustrating bank ever. try to pay off a loan and your will get SCREWED. when you call the bank all you get is attitude because you don't know all their rules so they don't care AT ALL I tried to pay off a loan, its takes 4 days to post to an account. so you pay off the balance and 4 days later you have interest, the you pay that and 4 days later you still have a balance and so on and so on till you want to kill yourself. you have to give them more money than you owe and will when they feeel like it they will give you back the difference. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THIS BANK.
