In November 2023 I experienced a water damage issue in my kitchen and filed/opened claim ******* with Travelers. This damage required the removal of kitchen cabinets, flooring and kitchen fixtures and appliances in order to complete the water mitigation work, which was done within the first 2 weeks of filing the claim. In that time I began working with the Travelers appointed contractor to get a quote on the put back work. Quotes were sent and then I heard nothing for weeks from my adjuster. When I reached out in January I was told that the claim had been closed because payment had been made and they never received contractor quotes - only payment I received was to cover the mitigation work - and I forwarded the quotes that were originally sent mid-January. It was another couple weeks before I heard from them again only to find out they had assigned a new adjuster, and then another 3+ weeks before I heard from that adjuster. It is now May 2024 - I have been without a kitchen since Nov 2023, and I have 2 kids. Travelers is still not in agreement with the contractor pricing and has been beyond unreasonable with their expectations to complete this work saying it should only take 2 hours to replace flooring, cabinets, fixtures and appliances. They have shortchanged me thousands of dollars on this, and I already had to spend my deductible to cover the mitigation. Almost 6 months without a kitchen, with kids, is beyond unacceptable. There has been no mention of any *** either and I should not be out thousands of dollars to repair/replace what was existing. This has dragged on far too long and need this resolved ASAP - I just want the full costs as quoted by the contractor covered. If this is not resolved in a timely manner I will be reporting Travelers to the Department of Insurance for Unfair Claims Practices.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Letter sent by Travelers stated they were going to relook at the rebuild quote and were likely going to provide a supplemental check.  The adjuster sent me an email stating they had reviewed the mitigation work and there would be a need for changes on the rebuild but there has been no contact since and prior to this complaint it was the only contact I'd had in weeks.  I'm now also being told to communicate with the original adjuster that was assigned to the claim who blatantly ignored the emails I had sent only to inadvertently close my claim. The project manager from the rebuild contractor has been trying to reach Travelers to work through this so they can start on the rebuild of my kitchen - now over 6 months without and I have 2 kids as a reminder! The rebuild contractor has been very generous in trying to work with the adjuster on pricing and their calls and emails have been ignored.  This is beyond unacceptable especially when you consider that these contractors are selected by Travelers just for this purpose.

The communication is severely lacking and is now incredibly muddied.  Travelers needs to clear this up and get this resolved ASAP, I will be filing a complaint with the Department of Insurance imminently for unfair claims practices.

      Sincerely,

      **** *******

On 4/11/24 my daughter was taking a shower in the upstairs bathroom one morning and my son came to get me because water was dripping through the ceiling in the living room directly underneath of the shower. I shutoff the water to the shower and called my insurance company, TRAVELERS, and they sent their contractor out to do the initial estimates. That contractor from ****** ************ advised the insurance company pays for access and restoration, but I would likely have to pay for the tub. This is the same thing the claims adjuster stated. However, when the contractor submitted the estimate $12K-$13K, it was denied and I was then advised I would receive $1,100 to repair drywall underneath the tub. I have an All Perils policy. Travelers is not standing by what THEIR contractors have said needs to be done. Furthermore they are now saying the crack, physical damage, is wear and tear. My whole bathroom was remodeled 7 years ago, so it's not like I'm trying to get a new bathroom out of them. This is not wear and tear and they need to honor the initial estimate. This is not a situation where I am trying to get a whole new bathroom or anything like that. My bathroom was already remodeled. I am fine with paying my $1,000 deductible and the cost of the tub. However I feel TRAVELERS should pay for the access and restoration like most insurance companies do. Especially when I have an All Perils policy and after their own contractors said what needed to be done. When you intentionally deceive someone or misrepresent, that is the *************** definition of FRAUD. Telling me not to worry about the damage, saying your contractor will be their and they are trusted and approved by your company and then turning around and denying what they said and only paying for drywall is a slap in the face. I have been a paying customer for years with them and *****. Now that a true accident occurred, they don't want to hold up the end of their agreement.

I bought an individual Worker's Comp. insurance from the company through an agent as it was required by the employer that I was working for. I. The premium and got the policy. The duration was only for 1 year. The employer shutdown its doors and the insurance was not needed anymore. The travelers company required an order to report stating that I did not have any claim and that was filed in time with the agent and directly to the company by fax and by snail mail. Few months later, I received a letter that I have to be fined, as I had not sent them an audit report. There was no claims filed to the company at all. again the report was sent with the same letter asking for the audit report and matter was considered closed. 6 to 8 weeks later I received a similar letter again.. This time I wrote on the letter that the report has been filed and it is in your records. They asked for the feet for not filing the ordered report. I do not believe anything is I had filed a report in time for both faxed and mailed to the correct address. 4 weeks later, I received a letter from the collection company about the disputed money. I think the company has very bad recording system. They are either losing the males in faxes or just not paying attention and throwing them into the recycle bins so that they could ask for more money. They never asked me to send them a copy even though it was sent twice. But wanted more money and directly with a threatening letter and then through now with a collection agency. I would not recommend anyone to do business with these people.

Paid him for insurance on some property.. he didn't apply all the money towards the down-payment.. then 1 of the policies got canceled and the insurance company sent the refund to his account.. when I contacted him about these issues he said he could write me a check.. I haven't spoken with him or seen him since that conversation.. I've left voicemail and stop by his office which seems abandoned.. he is in possession of 653.00 that should have been returned to me..

I had a sewer issue which I had a back up flood in my bathroom. I reached out to the company for reimbursement however the representative that is handling my case was very unprofessional in which he uses this because I told him I am going to report to his manager he did a terrible job on my estimation. He excluded some of the damages from the repair cost.

In accident on 4/2/2024 in ***** ********. Police report clearly stated that Travelers insured party was at fault. Insurance company has still not offered a settlement amount to repair my vehicle. Estimated damage to my vehicle is $2,500. I have called twice, both times I was told claim is under review. Their client caused the damage, I submitted the cost of repair. There is nothing to review.

Involved in a minor car accident on 4/2. Contacted Travelers to start the claim process. Used the app they provide to start the process. After 2 days of not hearing anything I reached out to Travelers and talked to the person assigned to my claim. They gather info and stated they would have car taken from tow yard to shop they recommended. Shop called and got info from me and stated they would call Travelers for paperwork. Needed a car so agent setup rental had to pay small out of pocket. Week went by no update so called Travelers and said waiting on shop for estimate. Ok, so I called the shop and they said they didnt have the car. Waiting on Travelers to give paperwork. Called Travelers back and they said they would work on it. 2 days go by I ask for another update by calling Travelrs agent is OOO for a week. Reach out to shop and still no car there. So reached out to another agent that finally got the paperwork to the shop. Now 2 weeks has gone by and due to Travelers nothing has been done. I ask for another update from Travelers on Tue (3rd week now) get an email stating car will be done Fri 4/26. Today call the shop asking when car will be done. Havent started work because waiting on travelers again to approve estimate. Going to be 4 weeks and all because Travelers has done nothing unless I call them or then call the shop so they actually communicate. What am I paying 6k a year for multiple years for when a claim is filed I am doing the job? It also would have already been done if any action was taken by agents instead of waiting for me to call them. Horrible customer service and expereince.

We had hail damage and Traveler's sent out an adjuster to examine the damage. He authorized that the damage be fixed at their cost. However, more damage was found at a later date and we filed a supplemental claim. Traveler's has not paid us for the additional damage that was found. i.e., the supplemental claim.

In February of 2023 I bought a new car and paid the adjusted amount for the newer car to my insurance. My policy renews in March 8th of 2023 I paid the amount in full and got a vehicle insurance identification card for the new car. In November of 2023 travelers insurance agency hit me with a $291 bill, which according to them is the adjustment for the new car. My argument is I paid the adjustment in the 22 to 23 year bill, and in March of 23 I paid my bill in full for the year. There were no changes and there is no reason for this $291 bill. Neither my agent or the company travelers will agree to help me dispute this, so they will send it to collections and I have all the documentation proof that I need to win so this is why I'm filing this dispute.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Even if I owe the 300$ that Travelers claims, it was there fault. IF I owe this money it's because they failed to charge me the correct amount in March 2023, and then tried to pass it off as a mid year change in November 2023 after it was paid in full 8 months later.

Sounds like bad business to me! It is their fault they didn't charge me the correct amount back in March. And I should not have to pay extra 8 months later because of their mistake.

I have the insurance card issued in March of 23 that is good till March of 24 and it sounds like they're trying to reneg on their deal of issuing the insurance for a certain amount of money.

      Sincerely,

      ******** ******
