I bough a Jeep ******** from the dealer. There is a corrosion warranty for my vehicle. So I need some work done. They do not have a body shop so they couldn’t do the work there and were not helping me to find somewhere to get the work done. I did my own research and found another Jeep dealer in ** willing to help me and do the work. Madison Jeep sent the sublet to do the work and stated they would pay. This should be covered 100% under the warranty. the work on my jeep has been done for about 2 weeks. I can not pick up my jeep form the shop it is at because the are currently refusing to pay the first bill they were sent. The shop redid the paperwork and I’m still waiting for them to pay so I can pick up my Jeep. However the dealer will not pay the other dealer shop until they are sure they will be reimbursed 100% of what they pay from chrysler. I have been with out my Jeep for over 5 weeks now. Not having luck with help to get it back

    To whom it may concern,

********* ******** purchased a new Jeep ******** from our dealership on 04/06/2019. Madison Chrysler does not provide any guarantee for new vehicles, by law, but they are subject to limited warranties from the manufacturer, in the case Jeep. ********* serviced her ******** with us for several years. A few months ago she stated to me directly, that she would not be servicing with us in the future because, and I quote, our service department "******". During this visit, she asked us to inspect her vehicle for paint damage. We do not have a body shop, so we do not have the ability to do paint or body work at our store. I assume this may have had something to do with her comment to me about our dealership. We suggested that she find a Jeep dealership that  has a body shop to see if they might assist her. We made no claims or promises to her that this would be covered under warranty. We also did not suggest that Madison Chrysler would pay to have her car painted or repaired. Franchise dealers would never pay for any repair covered by a warranty.

She found a dealership in *******, ******* Jeep. It was up to them, being experts in body repair and Jeep warranty policies, to determine what *********'s warranty would or would not cover the repair. Madison Chrysler has no say in the matter, nor would we in any other warranty situation.  We were informed by ********* she had visited ******* and that were willing to do the work under warranty for her. Joe L******** our service manager, received a phone call from ********* warranty admin. asking is we would simply put the claim in for them, since the ******** was sold through our dealership. We thought this was very odd, but in an effort to offer assistance, we said that we would submit the claim. This does not make Madison Chrysler responsible to pay for the paint work, parts or labor. Again, this was apparently a warranty claim that ******* was willing to perform the work for.

The vehicle is apparently finished. We are not holding *********'s vehicle or any payment. Once the warranty claim is paid, we will forward Jeep's payment to whoever would like it. If ******* has a payment policy, they should have informed ********* of this before accepting her vehicle or performing any work. At no time did Madison Chrysler authorize work to be performed on *********'s Jeep by anyway body shop or dealer.

    Thank you for your time,

    TJ R******

The ******* jeep dealership in ******* is still holding my Jeep. Stating that I can not pick my vehicle. I never signed any paperwork stating that I would pay for this it should be covered under warranty from Chrysler. they told me it would take two 2 1/2 weeks until my vehicle would be done and then I’ll be able to pick it up. They never stated that they would hold my vehicle until they receive the payment from Chrysler. so the complaint should be filed with them
