I bought a 2013 ******** **** 115,060 on November 28, 2022 at a dealership called Dash Cars in ******** **. Promised 30 years of free oil change. I’ve found out the warranty isn’t a recommended one more on the fishy side so far they dented everything I needed. Would prefer to cancel that. Needed an alignment, electrical issues with the lights and other things, acceleration issue randomly but not often, the bumper has a crack on it already asked to fix that didn’t do, ac issue one side does cold only and one side works., etc They sold me a bad car after 6 months the car turned off from multiple issues. Also I paid more than the advertised price the same day I paid a down payment of $7,500. They have since closed down. The Infiniti dealership recommended I not invest any further money to it since it'll cost thousands to do it and will create more things needed to be fixed after that it's best off to let it go as total or something on the lines of that. I took it to ****** beginning on this month of June for the shifter they claimed they fixed it but a week later I had to get it towed again to Infiniti and they listed a name of things. Along with the shifter the same thing I took it to ****** for. Along with more things. I would really appreciate if I can you do something of this matter. I am financing with **** **** *********. Other wise I spent money for a car I'll still be paying for just to drive for 6 month.Initial Complaint

On December 26th I came in to see a 07 ****** *** and was told that I needed a co-signer. I told them I didn’t have one and I was about leave. Then I was told about the 2020 ******r for 17,000. I was told we can get you in this vehicle. Casey came over and asked me about what monthly amount do I want and I told her that I wanted to pay between 200 and 300 dollars. She said she would try to get me close to 300. Then another manager named Brandon from ************* who came with a sheet with of paper and asked me what amount weekly did I want to pay? I said 100 and he came back with 115 and then he went to talk to Casey and said the best he could do is 123 and if I paid 500 It will go down to 115 and I said yes and had to sign that sheet of paper. I went into finance and was told to sign at checked spots. I was also told that I would get my paperwork when I pick up the vehicle. I picked up the vehicle on the 29th and was given the paperwork in a envelope that was closed. I never opened envelope and put it in the glovebox. I received the paperwork from ********* loan with a totally different price of the vehicle and totally different price for the monthly amount. I have been calling and getting the runaround from this dealer. I found out that they fired Michael the manager and the finance person and Brandon. I spoke with ********* and was told that they would have to unwind the loan and do a new contract and also first Casey tried to act like she didn’t know what I was talking about then she said she was going to look to make sure that the 30 days did not pass. My 30 day would be on the 24th of January. I spoke with Casey today and first she said she could take 20 dollars off the monthly amount but she would take away my warranty. I am so disappointed in the service I received from this dealership. I also requested to see my paperwork that I signed with Brandon and was told by Greg another manager that he didn’t have access to it. Please help me.Initial Complaint

I contacted dash cars on Friday 1/6/23 regarding a vehicle and put a deposit on it to test drive. I decided to cancel the test drive 4 days later and requested a refund. I was told it was processed and it should appear in my account shortly. I contacted Andrew again on Friday asking about the refund and he told me it was in process and that I would need to speak to the accounting manager in the afternoon. I asked for a copy of the credit card receipt of the refund to which he sent me a photo of a handwritten “receipt”. Afterwards an unidentified employee called me telling me it would take several more days because that’s not how their system works. I told him I didn’t understand I’m simply asking for a refund. The deposit took no time at all but now the refund is taking a while. This employee started yelling at me about wasting their time. I proceeded to tell him I would be sharing my experience on ******** to which he told me he was going to look up my place of employment and leave terrible reviews about me. This is a violation of my privacy as well as libel if he is going to be using my personal information to find my place of employment. The dealership also has my *** and other personal info as I filled out a loan application with them and feel terribly uncomfortable about this. I reached out to Andrew again and he did not answer my call.Business response

On 11/2/2022, I had gone down to Dash Cars of CT to purchase a 2014 **** ********. I put $4,000 down on a credit card and also was approved for a loan for the rest of the vehicle payments through **** ****. Upon signing this agreement, I was told that l would get brand new tires for the vehicle as well as a 150+ inspection that the dealership does as an extra precaution so that there will be NOTHING wrong with the vehicle. On 11/9/2022, I went back to the dealership to pick up the car after being told that it was ready, and a lot of money was spent from the dealership to make this vehicle what they promised. After picking it up, the tires were not replaced, no alignment was done and after driving for about 35 minutes, the car caught on fire. The police and fire department were called. The car was deemed totaled. I contacted the dealership immediately but told me there was nothing that they could do. That following Friday, 11/11/2022, I went back to the dealership to make this right and still, no resolution was given. I wasn't even able to speak to the General Manager. In addition to all of this, the car was not registered in my name yet. It had dealer plates and was a loaner vehicle at the time of the fire. I have attached the loan information as well as the loaner car agreement. I am still waiting for the Fire Marshalls Report and the Police Report, but I have attached the Fire Marshall's business card as well as the Police Report Case #. As soon as I get those documents, I will send them. If someone could reach out to me with a way to contact and add additional documents for this case, that would be very helpful. A couple other last things to add was that my insurance was contacted by me, but I was told not to file a claim as it was not our vehicle. And I tried going down to where the car was towed to take pictures and was told that I was unable to due to it being under investigation by the dealership's insurance.Business response

Thank you for your comments...
You test drove, signed contracts and purchased the vehicle. You took possession of it and brought it back for some follow up work. The car was insured by you and the loan documents were signed. Please provide your insurance information to process the claim. Thank you.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:I test drove the vehicle and before agreeing to purchase, you promised to put on new tires, fix suspension and do an alignment, so the vehicle was left in your possession to take care of these items on 11/2/2022. The car was never in my possession and then returned for follow up work. The only time the car left your lot was on 11/9/2022 and 35 minutes later, it was on fire. It should also be noted that tires and alignment were never completed which was a condition of the purchase. The vehicle was never registered to me. It was a loaner. You have all the information that was necessary for you to let me loan the car. Sadly I did not look at your BBB rating prior to coming to your facility but now I understand why it's a D. I have also contacted ** ***, Consumer Protection, and the loan company. This is your vehicle and you need to take the proper steps to resolve this matter.
Sincerely,

I bought a 2019 *** on September 19, 2022. I had already been approved by my bank since I already had a previous car loan with them. My bank stated that for me to get a new loan, they pay off the current one themselves and issue me a check for the new loan and Dash cars will have to cash the check in order for my bank to open the new loan for me. I took the check to dash cars, got my car. This is 3 weeks in, dash cars failed to endorse the check. I have reached out to them several times about the issue because I am still paying for the other car and if dash cars does not cah the check I will have to reapply for a new loan with my bank which will affect my credit as it's going to be a hard inquiry and my rate I currently have might change. Till date, I have reached out to dash cars several times. No resolution. My bank has stated that dash cars has to. Endorse the check and cash it. Dash cars stated that they are waiting for their bank to send the check back to them or sometimes they say my bank, Navy Federal is to send them a new check. Navy Federal said they told dash cars to endorse the check and cash it. This is so frustrating. Dash cars is not even trying to do anything. I would like Dash cars to either cash the check or just cancel the deal totally and I can look for another car with another dealership. My credit has changed at this time and I won't be able to get the same great rate with my bank as I currently have.Business response

I have purchased a truck at 16,772 on 8/17/2022 from this dealership. Last week on 8/6/2022 I received a call stating they have my license plate and registration. The call was stated I owed 2,285.61 for taxes for the vehicle (1,943.11 taxes 342.50 fees). When I reviewed a photo of the registration, it states 1,793.11 for taxes and fees. I am at work driving my truck with no registration, title, or license plate. I tried to make a call to resolve this but no one answers or makes attempt to help the situation. I am willing to pay the correct amount of 1,793.11 for TTL to receive my documentation and plate overnighted to me. Or return ALL of my money and come pick up the vehicle.Customer response

Since I first purchased a vehicle from Dash Cars of CT. There has been nothing but issue after issue.. from paperwork .. not receiving it until days later… to the motor vehicle. when they did.. they sent me someone else’s warranty info with their address and personal information.. things really hit the fan when I received a call from them telling me I owed them more money towards a payoff after one of their employees called on a three way with me to receive payoff info.. called a spoke with the Gm Mike.. who then hung up repeatedly after calling multiple times.. everytime you call with a question .. even correspondence by email no one returns calls & warranty that they sold which I don’t remember signing.. but see my signature on it.. was sold to me for maintenance when I live 3 1/2 hours away from them priced @ $3500. Can someone please help.. normally I would just take it as a loss.. but my gut is telling me to follow through with my complaint.. something is definitely not right with this dealership and it needs to be addressed.. when I read threw the reviews a lot of people are saying the same thing about warranties & fees.. I asked for a corporate number as well as the owners info to no avail..Business response

On June 15th, I went to Dash cars of CT to test drive a 2018 ****** ********. The advertised sale price was $20,991. I agreed to put $5000 as down payment and requested an extended warranty for which I was quoted $1900. These are the two things I purchased on that date. On page 10 of the paperwork the price of the car states $23,991. This is incorrect. While waiting for the paperwork to be done, I had asked about the financing terms at different times - The salesman quoted me an approx $500 monthly payment. When asked about the length of the loan, He said was that it was not finalized yet. At the very end, before I drove away, I was told the length of the loan is 60 months. The paperwork states 72 months, so this is also incorrect. The price of the car was $20,991. With CT sales tax of $1332.93, the total price of the car is $22,323.93. I was told the extended warranty would be approx. $1900. That brings the total cost of the car to $24,223.93. Dealer fees are as follows Registration fee $400 State lien fee $10 Dealer doc $899 The total of your fees is $1,309. The fees are not paid to the state of CT and therefore are not taxable My service contract is $1900, as quoted. The total of other charges is $3,209 The total of all charges is $25,532.93 Less the down payment of $5,000 I specifically asked for and was told I was agreeing to a 60 month contract. Full price of contract @6.29 compounded daily $3,449 Cost of loan is $23,981.93, which includes the extended warranty, with monthly payments of $399.70 There is a service contract $6200 - I do not know what this service contract is. There is nothing explaining this. Nor was it mentioned in any way. Upon receipt of the paperwork I thought it was my extended warranty, with a number error. I specifically requested an extended warranty at a cost of $1900.00 and upon detailed reading I see nowhere in the file is there anything that mentions it. i feel as though I was taken avantage of and was deliberately misled.Business response

Please advise if you wish to do so, and we will promptly cancel and refund it.
We apologize for any confusion and appreciate the opportunity to make it right.
Thank you for your business.

I am concerned that this company is doing illegal sales. When I bought my vehicle they told me they would fix the numbers to make sense into not tell if anyone asked. Then a week later they returned my trade saying it fell through. Whatever that means. It has been four months and I have never received a receipt a warranty packet a welcome packet nothing. The bank has contacted me for their payment but Dash cars has never sent me anything regarding my vehicle. When I called I am told to call back and no one is there. When I physically go to the location I am towed there off of work that day. And today I was told they would email me my warranty packet in my information about my vehicle. Still nothing. Something does not seem right about this company. When they return my trade I was stuck with a vehicle that I already signed and gave them. After speaking with a lawyer I was able to show proof and the bank for the trade-in vehicle was able to work with me because of what Dash Cars did. Moving forward I am asking for my warranty information in a packet explaining what I purchased and my vehicle information. This is what I am requesting.Business response

We spoke with Lateria and came to an understanding that the dealership did nothing wrong. We will do better with communicating more promptly and will supply her another copy of the warranty paperwork. We will also be giving her a complimentary oil change to the inconvenience.
Please confirm this is resolved

I bought a used car from Dash Cars on May 3rd. I bought it as-is, but the law in ** states a dealership cannot sell a car that won't pass inspection. Within 90 minutes of driving off the lot the check engine light came on. I took it back to them and they ran a fuel additive through the gas tank that didn't help. Then I took it back a second time and they replaced the catalytic converter with a cheap, knockoff part that doesn't work. It turned the check engine light off for less than two days. I've had $1,000 worth of other work done to the car, replacing multiple sensors, etc. under the assumption that there might be something else wrong with the car, but every time I have a mechanic check the code it comes back that the catalytic converter is still broken. At no point since I've purchased this car would it pass inspection and my mechanic says it would cost $1,600 to replace the faulty catalytic converter with a proper one. I've called them, left messages, sent texts, etc. and they are refusing to respond.
