Subscribed to all dog and cat publications. through the Belvoir Media Group. I was notified that the publication ******* and ******* were being discontinued. I have spent at least 50 hours trying to get my refunds since October 3, 2023. The managers never call you back and the employees give you a different answer every time. I have only received one refund so far. I was supposed to get two as I opted not to transfer the remaining issues to another publication as I had already renewed those.Business response

Last year we were billed for a book we did not order, which we returned at our own expense. We receive threats of being referred to a collection agency. We asked that our accounts be closed and that our names should be removed from their mailing list. That request was ignored. This fall the same thing has happened. We received a book which we did not order. We did not open the package, marked it return to sender, and brought it to our post office. We continue to receive bills and late charges. This type of harassing, unethical business practice must stop.Business response

Good Morning and Happy New Year. I am very sorry for your frustration. Please note that your initial order was for a continuity program which is whey the books keep mailing. Post cards arrive prior to book shipments providing an opportunity to opt out. Obviously you called so I am not sure why your participation was not cancelled the. I am sorry you are not interested in our books and will make sure your account is credited and no further mails are sent to you.

we were sent junk mail that we didnt even order and am unsure how ********** ****** even got our address. i read the first newsletter, thought it was something that was worth checking into in regards to HEALTH information. They sent a bill to a newsletter initially we didnt order yet went along with it, mailed them $23 dollars in cash. Down the line got another bill. I normally take pictures of every last letter i mail and i go through a book of stamps a week. Because i got a second bill i descided to write Im taking a cammera phone pic of their form and serial numbers of the twenty and three singles prior to putting the cash in the envelope. A man in the ********* ****** post office in ****** *** i asked him if he could take a video of me mailing my five letters i had at the time showing i incerted them into the inside mail box. month later i got another bill. i tried finding a way i could contact them could only find a email thats in my outlook.com email i think i used that email. ihave witness testimony i stuffed the envelope with the cash, i have all this proof that is so compelling beyond imagination youd know a crime really took place against me through the use of a Federal Post Office. *** **** * ******** **** ** knows of a few of the missing postal mail cases as she had to repond to me by mail requested by the White House as i wrote the white house about missing mail back in 2019 that i filed a ILAG Illinois Attorney General report on where i listed 40 significant forms of postal mail thefts. Was currently talking to a guy at the chewing tobacco store he feels ********** ****** that recives the postal mail took the 23 dollars and disguarded the payment form, a few varrious people feel the same way. The bill is suppose to be in my name and even wrote that the last 23 dollar payment in cash i mailed them the reciver to the email did respond back twice so there is acknowlegment of my petition to them yet i still have a billBusiness response

We take priode in trating our customers with repect and make very effort to address issues that arise. Having said that, I just don't know what to do in this instance. I have searched and verified that you do not have an account with us? We have never mailed you a newsletter and nerver received any correspondence or cash from you? Unfortunately, there are many scams out there so you need to be very careful who you deall with. I assure you, we are an reputable company that has been in business for over 50 years and greatly appreciate our custromers. In this instance, I don't think I could make this right.

Hello Linda,
Sorry for frustration caused. Please note that you signed up for a continuity program whereby a new book is sent each year. A post card reminder was sent prior to shipping the book to remind you and if your wanted to opt out, you could.....no responbse was received so the book was shipped. Apparently your returned the book so a credit will be issued to your account and not further invoices will be issued. I will also remove you from the program so you will no longer receive books. I hope this reolves your issue and thank you for your business.

12/7/2023 I called Bottom Line Books (* *** *** ****) due to an invoice for a book I did not order. I sent them an email on or about November 1, 2023 stating I do not want their books. I do receive and did order their articles for Bottom Line Personal and Bottom Line Health. I am current with my subscription to these subscriptions. However, I do not want their highly priced books. My phone call on 12/7 with the representative said I will no longer receive books and they will email me a return address label to return the book. On 12/8/2023 I returned the book Bottom Line Book ****** ************* **** to * ******* **** *** ******* **** *****. The **** tracking number for the return is 9202 8975 8200 3145 55. The book was delivered on 12/12/2023. Today, 12/13/2023, I received another book from this company. I also do not want to receive books from Bottom Line Health * *** *** ****. I tried to call this number on 12/7.2023 and was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up. Please advise this company I need a return address label for the book they sent me AND do not send me any more books! I do not owe them and will not pay for any books they send to me. I appreciate the company responded, however, their response was not specific as to what action they would take regarding my complaint.
1) I do not want them to send me any more invoices for books I did not order or want.
2) I want them to email me a return address label so I can return their book.
3) I want them to acknowledge they will not send me any more books from BL "Personal" or BL "Health".
If they will agree to the above, I will consider the case closed.

I recently received an invoice for a book I DID NOT order. They say I owe 51.89 for ** ******** ******* ***** ****, invoice dated 11/09/23. I DID NOT order this book, I DID NOT receive this book, therefore I will NOT pay this invoice. I had problems with this company last year and told them in no uncertain terms to CANCEL my membership, which I thought they did as I had heard nothing further from them until the other day. I received a second invoice, despite the fact that I returned (unopened) the book they sent me, and having notified via email them to cancel my "subscription" and not to send me any more unwanted items or correspondence. The only response I get from these people is more invoices. Please make them stop. I know they are doing this to other former customers throughout the country - this is really a form of harassment and probably can be viewed as attempted extortion as well. Again, please make them stop. Thank you for your assistance.

I was just informed by the Belvoir Media Group that ******* ******** is no longer going to be a print magazine. I have 9 years left on my subscription. They offered me ******* ******** for my remaining subscription. I declined this publication and asked for my money back. They said since I bought the magazine through a third-party **** *******, I have to go through them. **** ******* said they have not sold print magazines for over a year. All records were sent back to Belvoir Media Group. They also sent all money collected for the magazines to the company right away. They told me that is Belvoir's responsibility to pay me. Belvoir tells me that it is **** *******'s responsibility. I don't want to lose my money for my 9 year subscription. Please help!Business response

This is a terrible situation as a third party agent kept selling duplicate subscriptions extending the term for years, while knowing they were exiting the business. A very small percentage of the proceeds came to our company and the Agent refuses to take any responsibility. We spoke directly to this customer, whi we value, and have resolved the issue.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I do not feel it is fair. **** ******* says that they send all the money they receive for magazines to the companies right away. I'm sure I didn't pay less than $9.97 for annual subscriptions. Any records I have would be sums of Catster and People magazines together. I would settle for $90.

Company sent me a bill of 44.19 for a book I never received. I sent them letter explaining that i never received the book and can't see paying for something I never received. I then got a 2nd request making a threat, so I wrote them again explaining that i never got the book and that if they are going to get nasty, I will have to take more serious action. Well, I just got a 3rd letter saying that if i don't pay, they are going to send bill to a collection agency. Their threat to mess up my credit seem unfair. They completely ignored my reply that I never received their book.Business response

In March 2023 a book was sent to my elderly mother, ***** ***** (account # ********) that she did not order. I informed Bottom Line Books that she did not order this book nor did she need the book and requested a return label. Bottom Line Books agreed to the return request and emailed me a **** return label on March 16, 2023. I mailed the book with their return label, **** Tracking Number: **********************, and it was received by Bottom Line Books on March 23, 2023. Bottom Line Books continues to send invoices for the book they accepted as a return claiming that the book is in my mother’s possession. In my opinion Bottom Line Books is targeting the elderly by sending them “free” books then harassing them for payment even after the books are returned via their return process. Bottom Line Books should stop all communication with my mother and stop sending invoices for a product that was returned months ago with their mailing label.Business response

In addition, if additional systems changes need to be set in place, we will certainly make that adjustment.

I received a book (** ****** ************* ****) that I did not order in November 2022. It came with an invoice dated Nov 4, 2022 (with ship date noted as Oct 31, 2022) indicating the cost of $48.59 (book+shipping). I returned the book to sender on Nov 15, 2022, with a handwritten note on the original invoice that I did not order the book. The invoice stated if returned within 30 days there would be no obligation to pay. Subsequently, I've since received additional invoices (dated Dec 2, 2022; Jan 27, 2023; Mar 24, 2023; and another from February which I trashed). With these invoices, I've written several letters to Bottom Line Books stating that I've since returned the book (those letters were mailed to ** *** ***** ****** ** *****, which is the address noted on the invoice). I mailed those letters on Dec 12, 2022 and Feb 11, 2023, but have since received additional invoices indicating they have not received my payment, and that the payment is past due. As stated above, I did not order the book, and have returned the book in November. I would appreciate these invoices to cease, to not be held responsible for the $48.59 they are requesting, and to be removed from their mailing list. On the invoices, my account number is indicated as ********. Attached are scans of my letters and the invoices I’ve received.Business response

I am so sorry for this horrible experience. I am not sure why the fulfillment center has not processed your return which will be investigated. In the interim, I had all invoices stopped and no balance is due. Very sorry for the trouble.
