In Sept of 2016, we purchased a new house, and were advised during our home inspection, that the house would require a new roof, due to ***** ******* recalling the shingles that were on it. We hired a contractor to rip off the entire roof, and reroof the house. Our home was built in 2004, so this was the second roof. No damage was found under the shingles, and a new roof was placed on it November 2016. Ever since, literally almost every year, we have had severe issues with water coming in and damaging walls and ceilings, they left holes that mice, flying squirrels and other animals have found and come into my home, and the latest issue is that my entire ridge vent is lifting off the roof, and if you shine lights up at the ceiling from the attics at night, you can see it clearly outside, and the huge holes where the vents have lifted in numerous locations. We came to find this problem when we found animal droppings in the attic. The contractor has blamed the style of our home, us, etc., on these problems. Let's be honest, I house doesn't cause these problems. They are extremely difficult to get a hold off, always have some bs story and take forever to address the problem, and refuse to see that the reason the roof has problems is their faulty workmanship. We've had several other roofers look at it, and have all advised how to fix the problems, and we get told they don't know what they are talking about when we suggest them to the problem roofer. Other roofers will not touch the roof because it voids out our warranty. The contractor is beyond difficult to get to honor his own contract. Contract was for 20 yrs warrantied workmanship from date of completion of the roof. We aren't even seven years in. I am attaching my contract, warranty, proof of payment, and pictures we took last evening to show the amount of light coming through ridge vent. Pictures aren't great, but the light is unmistakable.

The reason we have not responded is the problem has not been fixed.  The owner himself finally addressed the complaint in person after reading it here and responding here.  The owner and my husband have discussed repairs, and though he stated it would be repaired Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in his response to my complaint, we are waiting for our shingles, so the repair has been pushed out a week to this Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

***** roofing hired solar company to remove solar panels and replace back on roof after the roof was replaced. Since then the solar has stopped working on 4 different occasions with it no longer working again. After ***** reviewed the work they noted several issues with the installation of the panels: Per our ***** Team investigation, ***** roofing reinstalled the system did a sub-par job of reinstalling it. There are sagging improperly secured panels all over the array and some of the corner panels have no end clamps on them. The clamps used in between panels are not the typical ones used, they used some third party clamps on them. There is a mismatched ****** panel at the top of the array on the west side that is jerry-rigged to fit it into the array because it is a completely different size and thickness. The top two rails at the top of the array are different lengths than the rest of them and the top one has been cut and a piece spliced onto it with a makeshift coupling. Most of the panels are chipping under the glass and have micro fractures in them visible to the eye, some of the squares have in the cells in the panel have turned white. There is no wiring diagram at all for this job in any of the forms. The 3-line diagram says there should be 4 strings of (11) but there are only 3 strings not (4). The DC wires should be rewired to reflect the string diagram and a new set of home runs pulled up to the Solar Deck box. I paid $7000+ to have the panels removed and put back. I would like a $4800 refund in order to pay for the panels to put back on properly.
