If I could give 0 stars I would, this business is dishonorable and unprincipled. Stay away!! David Graham owner of Painter’s Pride lacks professionalism, customer service, is an unethical, domineering (crossing the line of being overbearing, demanding and bullying) person to do business with. While we had an agreed upon original price, he misplaced the handwritten contract paper (from a notebook) and then attempted to rewrite the contract on another piece of paper with a higher price- billing is a moving target. He never presented a contract/painting plan to us for our signature or records. He showed up with a group of men and had decided to paint our whole inside when we thought he would start with trim and doors. He insisted I choose a color immediately by a 2x2 chip sample because he had brought all these men to paint that day. When I mentioned I was unhappy with the color choice I was forced to choose, he began to argue with me in front of the staff, blamed me, and said he was going “to throw my husband under the bus” and threatened to “pack up his men” in the middle of the project, and leave me hanging. I paid him more than a third of the bill for a third of the work and asked if I owed anything else as I was writing out the check and he said “no”. When I requested a receipt, he sent another new handwritten bill the next day asking for more monies ($3,000) than agreed upon. Due to his inability to understand a customer’s needs, brashness, price shifting with multiple handwritten bills, lack of a contract and receipts (unless requested), painting rooms without permission and demanding additional monies, I would never recommend him to anyone. He is a shyster and not to be trusted. As stated in the beginning STAY AWAY!!
