Very disappointed with the pricing for the home delivery for the Washington Post. Currently for every day home delivery, I am paying $134/8 weeks. That adds up to $871 for 52 weeks. My subscription is up for renewal. I went online to see the current pricing. The pricing online is Daily Newspaper - 1 year = $416 and Sunday Newspaper - 1 year = $104. This totals $520/ 52 weeks. That is a savings of $351/year. No where on the website, does it state that the pricing is for NEW subscribers. When corresponding with the WP support, they said the pricing online is only for new customers and it the policy. As a long time & loyal customer, I get to pay $351/year more than a new customer. I am not allowed to cancel and start new. I am a senior citizen on a limited budget and I don't use the online access that they force you to pay for as well. Buyer beware as after the promo pricing they will lock you into a HUGE fee for a paper. What happens to customer loyalty?? (I will say our delivery person does a great job. Just sad that people are getting lied to from a "NEWSWORTHY" source!)

In February, I was contacted by telephone and offered $115 for Sunday delivery for 52 weeks including digital. I asked if my digital (through Apple subscriptions) would automatically be connected to this deal, I was told yes. My digital was NOT connected to my home delivery. Since I "signed up" I've paid Washington Post $23.98 through Apple subscription, but I still had an outstanding bill of $115 from home delivery for the same product to me in the same timeline. When I contacted Washington Post by chat I was told there was no way to credit this subscription payment to my outstanding bill. I have canceled my Apple subscription and my home delivery and am being told I still owe $27.98 and my payments made through the Apple subscription do not count as payments made to Washington Post.

washington post is a disgusting garbage shithole company. I have been harassed constantly everyday for 3 years by the washington post and their junk mailers that goes in the trash every single time. They refuse to remove my address from their garbage mailers despite my numerous requests to them to stop sending me junk mail. Who can help??

Will offer 1 year for 40 then will retain your credit card (without your permission) and take 100 from you a year later. Will make it impossible to talk with a person, will disconnect when you call or will flat out not process the refund. This is a scam.

Washington Post (WAPO) is using unethical means to boost its revenue. e.g.: I am a retired individual who subscribed to WAPO. Along the way I changed my contact email to the one I actively use. Unbeknownst to me, WAPO maintained my old email and used both emails for 2 separate subscriptions. One for the negotiated $9.99/year on my provided CC and the other on email that I never use, $100.00/year charged thru PayPal account that I very rarely use. I discovered the PayPal (Nov 2021) charge when I tried to make a purchase this month. WAPO has refunded the amount. But it is shocking that a supposedly reputable NEWS organization would use its employees to practice such devious ways to increase its profit. Advice to this audience: DO NOT give any business no matter how "legitimate" or "reputable" a (major) corporation your CC on their website, or other means to charge. You'll never know when in the future they can come back to charge without your knowledge & outside the window of your recourse. I don't know if it is the unethical politicians, Biden & all (example devious starts of wars Vast Majority of Americans don't want are copying corporations or the other way around. But it is worrying that the whole nation may be succumbing to the practice.
