1 starPurchased Mavic 3 Fly More kit from Skygear // Daniel Herbert. After delayed shipment and incorrect shipping service I paid extra for, 11 days after purchase I received a used/broken car part instead of drone. To say the least, I was shocked upon opening the box. Though I don’t know him personally, we have several mutual friends/associates; I’ve known of Daniel in the industry as a pillar of the community, and would never suspect a purchase from him could go so horribly wrong and so very worrisome. Due to hot+cold communications with him, this has only added to the frustration of this issue. There was a lot of finger-pointing on Daniel’s part as to the issue; tbh, none of that pertains to me. As a customer, I would expect either the product or a refund to be expeditiously delivered after this mishap. Neither of these things have happened, nor does any of the buyer protections he underlined to me initially, offer any recourse. Had I used my debt card, I would be at a complete loss of thousands of dollars, due to the negligence of Skygear // Daniel Herbert. Currently in the middle of CC dispute in hopes of recovering funds. This can be up to an 8-week process. Running a small business, this is the last thing anyone should have to deal with/stress out about. I will update this review accordingly; I’m obviously upset about the situation, but am keeping this review as objective as possible. For now, this is a 1-star transaction. Have spent the last 4-5 weeks nonstop worrying/dealing with this, and trying to find clarity in our communications. Until things are rectified on his end, I cannot suggest employing Skygear in any professional capacity.Review fromSeth B

1 starAvoid this dishonest con-artist. I purchased drone equipment from him AND HE NEVER SENT IT. Of course, he kept payment. I speak for myself and nearly a dozen others whom he defrauded in a similar manner just last month. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.Review fromPaul F.

1 starI wish I had researched Daniel Herbert, the owner of Skygear, before purchasing from him and getting scammed out of $2100! I responded to a post he had made in a Facebook group advertising a drone for sale. He had me pay him through MetaPay (because, ironically, he said there are too many scams through PayPal), and now, unfortunately, neither MetaPay or my bank are willing to do anything to help me recoup that money. When I saw him advertising the same drone a couple days later, I was immediately suspicious that I had been scammed and I let him know. He (falsely) assured me that it was not a scam and I would not be at any financial loss. After a few days of "label created" status on the tracking number he gave me, he finally dropped off a UPS package (which may or may not have even contained the drone I ordered), only to enter a "return to sender" request just an hour before it would have been delivered to my house. After many delays, UPS finally confirmed that they delivered it back to him in San Ramon, CA. However, it is now over a week later, he's still unwilling to give me anything but excuses when I ask for a refund. He's told me everything from "someone is intentionally messing with my UPS shipments" to "I dipped into the money you sent to buy Christmas gifts for my family". In fact, I'm skeptical that Skygear Solutions is even a legitimate business - if you look at the "Corporate Addresses" listed on their website, there's a PO Box in NJ, a UPS Store drop box address in CA ("Suite 716" is really "Box 716"), and "The Green" in Dover, DE, which as a whole is under SEC investigation because it facilitates scammers by giving them a false presence in Deleware (Google it if you don't believe me). After communicating with several others who were also recently similarly scammed by Daniel, we found that Daniel has a 20+ year history of crime, included many cases of fraud and some felonies.Review fromTy C.

1 starI was scammed by Daniel Herbert of Skygear Solutions Inc. Be aware of an individual named Daniel Herbert, owner of Skygear Solutions Inc, who is running a scam across state lines via Facebook Groups and FB Marketplace. He made a for sale listing, specifically the DJI Mavic 3 for this case but also has other items listed and accepting payment ONLY through Metapay and Zelle (both of which have no buyer protection in place - this is relevant in a moment) Myself along with many others had messaged him to purchase the Mavic 3 kit, I thought to myself, this guy is an admin of a big commercial drone group and has what appears to be a legitimate business, he surely won’t take my money and run… I was very wrong. In fact, I thought I did a decent job making sure he was legit but I was wrong; Daniel has a long criminal history as a felon. NOTE: This is all public information and includes but not limited to the following and includes federal prison time: Breaking and Entering, Grand Theft Auto, Credit Card and Check Forgery, Unauthorized Use or Possession of Fraudulent ID, Dealing in Stolen Property, Theft, Grand Larceny, Credit Card Fraud, Forge A Counterfeit Check, and lastly Obtaining Money by False Pretense. Again, this is all public information which can be found searching the courts online. Daniel never shipped the items and instead only provided shipping labels that never shipped (they were cancelled on Jan 3 which was 1 week after they were supposedly shipped after I started going public about the situation in other threads), Daniel made excuses, and played the victim, refusing to refund the money despite all the complaints. He mentioned many times that his bank had frozen his funds and he had no money to refund me or anyone else, WHERE DID THE MONEY GO DANIEL? None of us received a drop off receipt, not one! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!Review fromGeoff T.

I have documentation showing the owner of this business may be a scammer when it comes to online purchases. Very untrustworthy individual that claims one thing in console contrary to other reports. I’m no one of importance just can’t stand seeing people scammed. Daniel Herbert has messaged me personally stating several thing that go directly against what people he is doing business say. I would not recommend this guy to clean the stables.Skygear Solutions

Based on these reviews, as well as the Google reviews, I see I’m not the first to be stiffed by the company. Flew two towers Nov 11th, 2022. On Dec 1st, 2022 I was told by Daniel Herbert that payment would be sent the following Monday. ACH. Since then, ZERO response to any contact. Pilots beware. Complete sham. I have all of the information. From request, to assets delivered, to promise to pay, to communications ignored.Skygear Solutions

Mr. Ladd, our records show you were paid in full on December 12, 2022. Admittedly, that is a little late and we apologize for that.Ladd U.

I provided my info to [email protected] on 11/23/2022. I followed up with the same address 11/30/2022. Followed up a third time 12/13/2002. Daniel Herbert was CC'd on two of those emails. Zero response from anybody. I have confirmed that the ACH info I provided was correct. Maybe someone had a typo on your end? I have sent repeated text messages, FB Messenger messages and even tried calling while Daniel was "active" on FB Messenger. I have also confirmed that that account has not received any payment from you. The real problem is being ignored. I have tried and was left with no recourse. Now, perhaps billing can get back to me and show me where the payment was processed and confirm the info I provided to them.Review fromLisa S.

5 starsWe hired Skygear to handle a task that nobody else seemed to want to take on. We hesitated because of their pricing but in the end, we'd be happy to pay it again - surprisingly accurate and detailed work from their team. Drone inspection work is definitely one of those things that you get what you pay for.
