Dear BBB, I filed complaint number 20412230 against the shipper directly but have not had a response so I am now filing a second complaint against Shiply. On July 16, 2023, I contracted with a shipper, ****** *********, through Shiply. He was supposed to pick up three items of furniture and deliver them. He requested a cashier's check of half of the amount, $350 which I sent. The post office confirmed that the cashier's check arrived. He never picked up the items and has not replied to my requests for a refund. This is just plain theft. I would like Shiply to refund me the $350 since they accepted him as a shipper in their company and he then stole from me. Thank you so much. All best,Initial Complaint

I accepted a quote from a supplier, they took my $3,500 and I never heard from them again. Shiply refuses to take any responsibility for this including not even refund my initial deposit I gave to them. Instead they only offer a credit. This is a site that facilitates criminals and nothing more.Initial Complaint

I paid $306 in total to Shiply verified driver to deliver my couch and bed frame with $106 Shiply fees and $200 part payment (deposit for the driver) on a total quote of $506. After payment, there’s has been no communication from the driver and Shiply only offered to link me with other drivers with no refund for what’s being paid to the other driver neither was I told there’s going to be any investigation and Shiply does not respond to my messages anymore.Initial Complaint

On 12/30 I paid funds to Shiply to transport a recent purchase ,after taking my funds they have done nothing, Now they offer me a credit for their failed service,when they have achieved Nothing what so ever.I demand a full refund from this firm. I tried to arrange shipment for a car I purchased on eBay. After 6 months trying to get a truck to pick up the car and securing none, the car ended up getting damaged in storage and the sale had to be reversed. Shiply would not refund the deposit. Sometimes, it is hard to do the right thing, but for shiply, doing the wrong thing is part of their policy.Initial Complaint

Shiply took two deposits for two different quotes that I was getting refunded by the company for NO services rendered. Totaling in 475 and they are not trying to give me a refund. I didn’t move forward with the companies they tried to give me a credit for their site. I am requesting they refund me my 475 immediately.Initial Complaint

I recently used Shiply to facilitate a shipment of several items from Tennessee to Nebraska. Now before I go any further, I must say that the initial use of Shiply was easy and fast some minor issues with the website correcting information but other than technical issues it was rather simple. I selected a provider and accepted the brokerage fees and deposit so far, no issues with this as it is typical of how you would use a broker for such a business transaction. The problems started from here now to be clear up to this point everything that had happened appeared to be above board. The provider I selected unbeknownst to me had been previously accused of stealing a handgun from a former client this is unacceptable for Shiply to approve this provider and shows that Shiply did not perform a competent background check on the provider. The provider then gave me the run around for over a week saying that he was on the way to pick up the items. I later found out that he had picked up several items valued at over 10,000. As of this point in time I have received all items back. I have been going back and forth with Shiply for over a week now and I was finally given the provider's name and the police were able to receive his driver's license from Shiply. Shiply has refused to refund my money to me and has stated that there is no wrongdoing on their part. As of this point in time I have not received a refund from either the provider or Shiply. The business practices of Shiply are illegal and reprehensible. at the time of this writing, I have filed 3 FBI files, 1 National Cyber Security Centre, and 3 local police reports on Shiply and on the provider. The responses I have received from Shiply are reprehensible and do not speak to good business practices on their part.Initial Complaint

I registered to receive work via Shiply's website on 7/24/22 because they advertise that they will pay a person $25 to place 50 quotes to ship/move customers' items. After i placed my 50 quotes I contacted Shiply because they hadn't sent the $25, days after I placed my 50th quote.
