CreditFresh is charging $344 in Fees each month and calling them Billing Cycle Charge. This was not clearly stated when the $3,000 line of credit was taken out. This should be criminal to allow a company to charge fees this high.

This lender has an option to take out a loan and each month they evaluate with their special numbers to give you an interest rate. The interest rate is always extremely high, which unfortunately, I was dumb enough to not see at the time. It is important to note that it is incredibly difficult to understand what your payments are going to be according to their very problematic ways of accruing interest on your loan. Then I was out of work for a month due to a issue that happened at my job but unfortunately had to wait over a month for my paycheck and this company just kept hacking interest on to where my $500 payment became $1000 This is predatory lending. Shameful because there are people out there that can’t pay this ever, and this will cause them to go into extreme debt and in order for them to pay off the rest of their loan, they will have to forgo paying something else. They also reported me late to my credit bureau, which because of this my credit score dropped dramatically, so I can’t even get a loan with a decent interest rate. I am a hard-working American. I worked my entire life. It is shameful that in America, we still allow this kind of predatory lending.

This company has inaccurately reported information to the transunion credit agency. I have made contact with them almost a year ago requesting that they accurately report my account closed. They have not done so in over 10 months. I have made complaints to Trans Union and they have responded with incorrect information, leaving my account status open when it is not open at all. It is adversely affecting my credit and my ability to Consume credit.

I responded to the business’s email. I sent more screenshots of what Trans Union is reporting to FICO. All of my information comes directly from my fico.com and through the bureaus. I have reporting every month from all three bureaus updated. I updated my bureaus before I responded to them. That is the most accurate information. To this date, TransUnion does not report my account as closed. You can easily see the difference between accounts that are closed as marked with the term “closed“ versus accounts that are reporting us open. None of the accounts that are reporting as open are inaccurate except for credit fresh. All of the accounts that are reporting as closed are in fact closed.  Regards, Complaint ID: 22618117

This company will not cooperate with people who are victims of attempted ID theft unless there is a police report filed. Without an actual theft, it is nearly impossible to get a report. They will not cooperate with people who have an active freeze and fraud alert on their accounts.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I want them to take responsibility for their lack of care with my credit information and the poor agent behavior when I contacted them regarding the fraud attempt. While an account was not opened, it is still incumbent upon them to make sure that fraud victims have a recourse when they are contacted and not ignored and not told they could not be helped unless the victim jumps through multiple hoops. Including having to file a police report and email the report number to a generic address. They have not apologized for the rudeness, blamed me for setting up a LendingTree account which I had NEVER done, and refused to address their procedures dealing with fraud and how victims have little ability to stop fraud, and the fact that they didn’t do enough when an alert was already present.  Regards, Complaint ID: 22603838

I took out a personal loan from this company and was advised that it was mandatory to have them deduct payments from my account, no issue there since I planned on repaying them. The issue is the practices this company has should be illegal. I completely understand a company needing to make a profit but it’s very misleading despite their “truth in lending” statement. I took out a loan of $2000 and had $170 deducted from my account twice a month since July 2024. Just doing some basic math - I paid them around $1,300 BUT when I went into my account, my balance was well over $2,000 and only $1,00 of the $1,300 had applied. Essentially, I gave away $1,200 when the loan amount never decreased! This has to be a scam and I’d advised anyone interested in taking out a personal loan for whatever reason to stay away from this company. They have a nice breakdown and claims to not go based on an interest rate but semi monthly payments that never decreased while they profit well over 200% of what was loaned is a bit excessive!

The way that this company runs their line of credit program is highly predatory. I opened a line of credit in October 2023, in the amount of $1,200. My current balance is $1,344. I have made every payment on time with the exception of one missed payment. To date, just for 2024 I have been charged $945 and $225 in 2023, just in billing cycle charges! I can no longer continue to make these hamster wheel payments as my income has decreased. In addition, as stated, this is a predatory program. I'm not even sure if it's still an approved program in the state of Washington. If it's no longer approved, it makes me wonder why! Washington has very strict lender laws and CreditFresh shouldn't be allowed to advertise and offer lines of credit to Washingtonians. I would like at minimal the vast amount of billing cycles charges that I've paid, $1,170 in total, to be put towards my principal balance.

I was charged a billing cycle fee twice within one billing period and spoke to two separate representatives who provided false reasoning for said charges. I made a payment for $4,700 and paid a billing cycle charge of $217 on 10/17/24. I paid my balance in full, the remaining balance $611 with a billing charge of $129 on 10/21/24. Not to mention previous billing cycle charge $179 on 10/11/24. That’s $525 in less than 14 days worth of fees. These practices not only violate consumer trust but may also breach relevant laws and regulations.

I was charged a fee twice within the same billing period. The billing period had not ended. Had I paid my balance in full within that one period I would be charged one appropriate billing fee. I broke up the payment into 2 payments because they were only 3 days a part and still within the same billing period. This company charges astronomical billing fees, so much so that a billing fee is upwards of $200 every two weeks for only $10 to actually be applied to the principle balance. This company is a predatory lender and should be regulated. Regardless, to my case there is no way I should be charged a billing cycle fee twice within a billing cycle when the entire balance was paid off during said business cycle.

I sent a check to this company on June 22,20024 to pay off this account. I was told it would take found weeks for the check to post and the account be closed. This company claim they cannot locate the check and they are still taking money from my account. I sent a copy of the canceled check and I did inform them the check had cleared their bank. I have spoken to several people at the company regarding this issue and no one has gotten back to me regarding this issue.
