He lied about repairing my truck and over charged 1,000 from estimate kept my vehicle for 81/2 months. The job originally was to replace water pump turned into motor needs to be replaced I bought all parts had shipped to his location I told him I only had 30 days to return the motor and after he had it for two weeks he said the motor was good well I later found out that the only way to do a compression test is for the motor to be installed and he didn’t do that I bought everything he asked for the job well after the truck was towed to the dealership they found on initial inspection that the motor had no oil in it and the rear main seal was no good the tork converter had visible damage timing belt pulley was loose and needed replacing also the belt was worn and needed replacing many sensors were damaged and the valve cover gasket was leaking . Everything that was damaged I had bought new and was told they were replaced including the synthetic oil. After being informed of all this I was given a quote for 2,800$ and that was just to get the motor to the point that it could be put on a diagnostic test. Well since I had already had given Dave 4,150$ for labor sapient 2000$ in parts and still didn’t have a running vehicle and still owed 10,000 on the loan and blue book value was7,700 I had to return it to the bank. And I forgot to mention I did contact Dave about the issues found by dealership and he didn’t respond and when I went to the shop he told me that he wasn’t doing anything else to my truck and to leave his property. I thought he was an honest mechanic as he was recommended to me and he is anything but honest he totally took full advantage of me and did not stand behind his work lied and procrastinated for 81/2 months I am filing charges against him for fraudulent practices and my money back
